Great food & service! Kirsten did an amazing job and took good care of my mother & I as we enjoyed our lunch. We definitely will be back again

    Almost burnt.

As stated and pictured, pizza is oftentimes bordering on inedible. This isn't the first time the pizza has been this way, but it is the last time we were going to be accepting the excuses. Pizza with a crisp crust is fine, but tasting the burnt taste is not. Having a rude employee and dismissing the quality as not knowing how pizza should be made is also not ok. I grew up in NY and my wife grew up in NJ, we are both extremely familiar with Pizza parlors and the different types of Pizza. When Bella Sera makes the pizza correctly, it is great, no doubt. Unfortunately, their consistency is lacking, as is their service.

Plain cheese is the way to go! For true East Coast experience.

This is the closest thing I can find to actual New York/New Jersey Pizza in Texas. I haven't covered the whole state yet of course, but as far as KERRVILLE goes, this is the one to get. First bite of the cheese pizza took me right back to the boardwalk in Wildwood. It's that good. I never load up my pizza with a bunch of veggies, so it's plain cheese for me, and this one turned out to be the best I've ever had in this area. Prices are reasonable and service is always outstanding. Oh... Don't forget to ask them to make the bottom a little crispy. Perfect.

I've been to many Bella Sera's in the Hill Country ( I believe I've only missed the one in Fredericksburg, TX), but none top this location. The ambiance is excellent and the service also! Our party had the meat lasagna, the eggplant parmigiana and a Calzone. Chicken soup and Caesar salad were great. The garlic bread is to die for (if you are a bread lover). We had to request "fill 'er up again" on the bread basket. Your food is hot to the very last bite. All the food was well cooked and flavorful. Great tomato sauce on the hot plates and accompanying the calzone. If you like the mix of marinara sauce and white sauce (aka pink sauce), then you need to try their Alla Panna sauce. If you are in or near Kerrville, TX, or just passing through traveling on I-10, don't pass up the opportunity to dine at this great Italian Restaurant.

Delicious food and great service. This spot has the goods if you are looking for classic Italian American food. Really well done NY style pizza. We ordered plain cheese - the ultimate test of a good pizza with no toppings to hide behind. Great crust, good cheese, excellent sauce. Beware the garlic knots. They are addictive garlicy heaven designed to entrap your soul so you spend the rest of your life in this restaurant happily eating them forever. Good wine list (get with the program and order Chianti), really good citrusy house salad dressing (get Nick's dressing - olive oil, lemon and garlic). Skip the chicken soup - surprisingly bland although obviously housemade. The veal Siciliana is what veal piccata dreams it might grow up to be. Take a lemony veal piccata and add artichoke hearts and mushrooms. Plop it on a bed of angel hair pasta. Hedonistically eat and enjoy. The shrimp Fra Diavolo has beautifully cooked shrimp in a spicy yet nuanced sauce. FYI garlic lovers required. Great service from Sam. Very professional and also very charming. Servings are generous. Prepare for leftovers, highly recommended.

I give them 3 1/2 stars on the main course and only a half star on deserts. Service was okay.

Pizza was terrible, service bad, salad bad... I can't comment on the rest of the menu. I'm sure there's better places closer to town.

Our waiter, Ethan, was friendly and attentive and did a great job. He's the only thing I can say that's good here. We started with the Appetizer Combo, which had fried mushrooms, zucchini, pickles, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and marinara and ranch for dipping. The batter was a nice consistency, but lacked seasoning, so very bland. The dips were good. A couple of us had the small appetite plate, with salad, soup and a half a sandwich. We got tomato basil soup and a BLT and added avocado. The salad and sandwich were good. The soup was so salty I couldn't eat it. One person got the catfish plate with green beans and pasta salad. The green beans were canned and mushy. Those same canned green beans were in the pasta salad. The fish was so salty it was inedible. Just overall not a good experience. The place feels old and dingy. They do have a nice river front location and patio seating.

He was so friendly and easygoing, but we knew he was putting in work! Tables inside and out and our food still came out quickly, and my water was always full! We started off with the gluten free Hong Kong lettuce wraps, and I almost smacked everyone's hands as they grabbed for another one! The antelope was so tender, not dry, and the sauce wonderfully balanced the side of slaw and savory ground antelope. Delicious! Hubby got the Green Goat Sliders, kiddo got the kid's pulled pork sandwich, and I got the gluten free Crispy Chicken Sammie on a GF bun. Everything was delicious! They undoubtedly know how to cook their meat perfectly! Sliders were very good, and my son devoured that pulled pork sandwich in minutes. The kid's sandwich was the same size as mine! The sliders looked great - just cooked so well, and the chimichurri was delicious (per my husband). While I was given the wrong sandwich, I did not care one single bit! A truly honest mistake, but if I even thought of complaining I'd hope someone would kick me right out, because everything about this meal was great! The right sandwich was so good. I love the slaw and Ruben dressing with the slightly crispy GF fried chicken patty. I like that the fried chicken wasn't heavily breaded - it kept it lighter and just enough of a crisp! I got the Greek salad as my side and WOW. I could eat that salad any day. I don't even like olives, but that salad needed them, and all of it was delicious. I loved the hummus on the bottom which was a great texture and added more substance to the salad. I could eat that salad all day every day. I don't know what feta they used, but it was soft and delightfully salty. So good. I can only imagine how good it is on their Brussel Sprouts which are also gluten free! I did snag one of my kiddo's fries which are also gluten free, and I love it when fries and crispy and brown and not overly seasoned, which these were. Tender inside and crispy outside, nice and browned and almost shoestring. Very, very good! With the great service, the lovely outdoor seating, and such delicious food, I would not hesitate driving back here to come eat again! I only wish the restaurant was a smidge bigger so more people at once could enjoy this fantastic establishment!

We recently visited Brewdawgz Grille & Ale and quickly learned from their friendly, hometown staff…read more- don't let the name fool you. Brewdawgz is more than just beer and hotdogs. Though, they have those too. This under-discovered Kerrville Grille is offering up some of the best and freshest, homemade food in Kerrville. And, it's 5 page menu offers an amazing selection. For starters, they have an impressive list of appetizers - real homemade Fried Mushrooms, Onion Rings, Chili Cheese Fries, Shrimp Diablo, Southwest Eggroll, Wings (7 flavors and the size they use to be in the good old days), the best Cheese Curds I have ever tasted and many more. Their menu also offers - delicious meaty burgers (12 choices), salads, chicken, steaks, fish, BBQ; and oh yes, hotdogs. I liked the New York Dawg with grilled onions and sauerkraut. We can also recommend the Double Brew Burger. It's a full pound of lean burger topped with avocado, mushrooms, bacon, cheese, etc - made to order. Take home what you don't eat. It makes great leftovers. The Ribeye Steak Sandwich is also a good choice. They serve it cooked and dressed anyway you like it, on a real Brioche Bun. That's a real Brioche Bun. Not what fast-food restaurants want us to believe are "brioche buns". One taste and you will know to difference - soft, warm and pillowy (if that is a word) Brewdawgz's BBQ is perfectly seasoned, lean or moist with a great smoke ring - not too smoky and not dry or overcooked. BBQ sauce is truly optional here. BBQ is sold by the sandwich (7 choices), as loaded potatoes or by the pound. On special occasions/holidays, Brewdawgz serves BBQ beef ribs. These are a must try - big, smoky, meaty and rich. And, you don't have to go the San Antonio or Boerne to snag one. As for refreshments, 14 beers on draft (I liked the Dogfish 90 IPA or Firemans 4), 11 beers and ciders by the bottle, wine as well as soft drinks and tea. And finally desert, Cheesecake or Carrot Cake which they serve by the wedge. Not a little sliver, but a real wedge of cake. Highly recommend the Carrot Cake. Best we have ever had; and, will judge all others by in the future
