I heard about Country Kitchen through Long Beach Food Scene and was impressed by its Yelp reviews,…read moreso I decided to give it a try. I ordered the ABC omelette with home potatoes and upgraded the bread to a granola pancake for an additional $4. I had been wanting to try their famous granola pancake, so I was happy they allowed the substitution. The portions were generous and easily enough for two people. The ABC omelette was delicious. It had plenty of bacon pieces, just the right amount of cheese, and the avocado on top was fresh and flavorful. I requested the home potatoes well done, and they came out perfectly crispy on the outside and great with ketchup. The star of the meal was definitely the granola pancake. I can see why it's one of their most popular items. It was one of the best pancakes I've ever had. Topped with bananas, blueberries, granola, and almonds, it had a unique combination of flavors and textures that I've never experienced before. I would absolutely come back just for the pancakes. The customer service was excellent as well. Everyone was friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Next time, I plan to dine in.

I was wondering if they will be able to deliver that more of a home field rather than corporate breakfast places but we all know so well. I was greeted by warm staff that look like my friends Moms got together to make sure that they feed their kids. Everybody smiled and everybody cared, and it was really good filling to be around them. The prices were seemingly reasonable, considering that omelette was almost $16 and it came with everything you would expect omelette to come with. Home potatoes were delicious as well! The atmosphere inside is humble and very clean, with rather regular booths, that are easy to get in and out, with some curtains on the windows that had that warm country feel. I really love this place, I will surely go back there, and I suggest you will give them a chance!

No wait but moderately busy, restrooms immaculately clean. Menu descriptions are fantastic. perfect customization of a traditional breakfast menu... with traditional items available.. They pay attention to every little detail of your experience. This would be my "never go anywhere else" breakfast place if I lived close to Long Beach. Just go there.

My husband and I had two opposite experiences this morning at Breakfast Bar…read more My husband ordered the Pancake Combo ($19). His eggs were just the way he likes them - soft and fluffy, like the egg whites have been whipped. Pancakes were also very delicious with good flavor and fluffy height. The pancakes had a brown butter topping that he really liked, didn't even need syrup. Sausages didn't seem homemade but were very tasty. I ordered the Eggs Noni ($18), which is a version of Eggs Florentine, plus a side of bacon. The Eggs Noni came on two pretty hard small sourdough discs. I had difficulty cutting through the crust with a knife. There is a lot of cayenne in their hollandaise sauce, not my favorite version. The thick slice of tomato was the highlight. Side of bacon $6 for two measly pieces - overcooked and too crunchy. I could tell the bacon would have been good if it was more on the meaty/chewy side. This came with a potato pancake which was like mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and then fried. Service was okay, I think because it was pretty busy. They may need more staff to help the servers with drink refills and to check in more frequently. Lastly, our table was very wobbly and we had to fix it with sugar packets otherwise our drinks would have toppled.

Parking: Free in the small lot in the back. If the lot is full, you can usually find nearby street parking. Service: Excellent! Our server, Jairo, was prompt and very friendly. Dogs: Allowed on the patio. No restrictions on them having to be under the table or otherwise hidden. We had the corner table at the front which my girl loved because she solicited pets from people through the little fence and had plenty of room to stretch out. Food: I ordered the Grand Prix omelet with super spuds and biscuit and gravy. Everything was hot and most of it was delicious. My only complaint was that I felt like the gravy has changed since my last visit. I used to love it but this time it was thinner, not as flavorful, and had an almost see-through quality to it. Not sure how to describe it, but I wouldn't order it again. The biscuit was good, though. My girl got scrambled eggs and bacon and they cut up the bacon, much appreciated! Everything I've had here over the years is good, including their pancakes, fruity pebble french toast, and curly fries! We will be back for another patio visit soon. :)
