This place was recommended by a few people at work. I finally came here for lunch and got what my sources had recommended: roast beef three ways with curly fries. I wasn't too sure about the portion sizes, so I ordered one size above junior - it was a lot of food, but can't complain! Our curly fries were small size. The roast beef (8oz) was really good. We saw them slicing off fresh. The bread was nicely toasted. The three ways of barbecue sauce, mayo, and cheese nicely coated the meat added delicious flavour. When I read voted the best roast beef we had to try it and oh my goodness it was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. The meat melted in my mouth and the 3 way is the only way to go. Everyone was so friendly and helpful as we weren't sure what to order. The place was hoppin while we were there with no break in customers with a steady line for over an hour until the lunch rush was over. We didn't get there until 1 I can't even imagine how busy they were before then. The food came out quick and the same quality on every order. Huge portions on side dishes. Small place but they have some seating and some standing tables. Thankfully we're here until next week so we can go back again. Losing Harrison's Roast Beef down the street was tough but to find this place so close to home was an absolute treat. We were welcomed by a friendly greeting from Bella herself. Husband brought me for my first beef after a few days in Hampton. He's had beefs but never been to Bella's, said it was higher ranked. Wow. So good. I don't have a typical beef run down for you but the meat was warm and pink, cheese on the bottom, perfectly sauced with mayo and bread held up and has a nice toasted butter touch. Ordered here multiple times drove half hour away and usually enjoy the beef. Last time we got it, it was bloody so this time we let them know and asked for it not to be bloody. The staff here is so friendly from the time they greet you on the phone to the time you leave with your order. We called on our way to place a lunch order and they were spot on with the amount of time they quoted. I was greeted immediately upon entering even though there were a few people in line ahead of me, paid for my order efficiently and not only were our lunches (two fried haddock dinners with skin on fries and Cole slaw) accurate, they were piping hot, delish and plentiful. I've been to Bella's 4 times now. I live quite far from the north shore but work in the area often. I've tried the majority of staples for the infamous beef. Bella's has been my favorite without question. This past week I decided to try an Italian sub to mix things up. Got a small with the works. Talk about phenomenal. I opted for untoasted as I don't think many places can match the greek style toasted grinders native to Cape Cod..and that is ok. Bella's killed it. The bread was second only to Marzillis bakery in Fall River and the quantity of meat and fixings was more than sufficient. I couldn't even finish the small. I noticed it was not filled very deeply and the ends of the bread had no meat in them. I ended up combining the meat from one end into the other so it would fill up. I would say get the small because it will be the same amount of meat as the large. It's a tad expensive for less. No thanks. I'm all set.
