I had a wonderful experience here this morning. I made an appointment for 9am for new tires. My car needed an alignment as well, which I knew based on how it was driving, and I was still out of there in about an hour! Everyone was complying with covid safety measures. I took my car there for an alignment and the technician severed the cable going to my abs sensor. Manager would not refund the alignment or fix the problem. They wanted a $150 for a $35 sensor they broke. Car went in with no lights on the dash lit up and I was given the car back with 3 dash lights lit up. I immediately went to the service desk and asked what was wrong. They pulled my car in and 5 minutes later walked me back. The manager pointed to the abs cord which was severed. The service tech said he didn't do it and had no idea if any lights on the dashboard were lit up. The service manager (Mike) told me his "tech" couldn't possible have broken the cord and told me to contact corporate. So while replacing the ridiculously easy $35 dollar sensor myself and looking up alignment adjustments I realized (1) the tie rod the tech adjusted is about 6 inches away from a hanging abs sensor cord on any honda odyssey (2) the tech would have noticed a severed abs cord hanging in his face while adjusting the tie rod so to have no idea what was going on is ridiculous (3) neither that tech or the manager I talked to have any business working on cars. The manager literally laughed at me and told me to call corporate. So I filed with the BBB and I am reaching out to corporate. Also most Belle Tires have a F with the better business bureau. read more

I went there today with an issue regarding the gauges on my car twitching and the car not turning over. They told me it would cost 80 an hour to look at my car. I walked over to the oil shop Choice Quick lube and talked to Al, he walked over with a charger and started it and told me that the alternator belt needed replaced. No charge, why couldnt belle tire help me while I was in their parking lot? I know why because it's a doggy- dog world. They were nice when they told me 80 an hour and ignored me and the hood up while in their parking lot on Eisenhower. - Karma will catch up. read more

Needed to have my tire repaired and I had my 2 years old kid, since it was an emergency I went to Belle tire which was the closest place to where I live. Michael Thorp told me that it's 2 hours wait. I ended up waiting for 4 hours with my child. It's a real issue when your time estimate is off by 50%. this is a feedback for the business and warning for the customers that their time estimates are way off. read more

I just created yelp just so I could write this review. I have been going to Belle Tire for years and have been a loyal costumer, however recently I felt like my prices have been getting higher. To test this I called and asked for a general quote on my 2010 ford fusion for new brake pads and rotors. When I spoke to someone on the phone they quoted me at $430 give or take a bit. Once I dropped my car off and they pulled up my file they said it would be $720. I have been quoted by a different belle tire recently for $500. They saw that I had been coming there and thought they could get away with damn near twice the amount they originally quoted me. This is horrible and shows they do not value their loyal costumers. I will never go to another Belle Tire again. Also, when I told them about the other quotes, their only response was "we don's see that on file." read more

I got new tires from Belle Tire two months ago. At the time, all I knew was that I needed new tires and my alignment fixed. I was already frustrated with the service then as I was not even greeted or helped for over 5 minutes as the only customer in the store (with an appointment already scheduled), but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. With some tire issues since then, I decided to take my car back in yesterday. The workers told me that the control arm was ripping and this would cost hundreds of dollars to fix. I asked if this is something that they normally check when replacing tires, and they said yes. This was frustrating enough to find out that I should have known two months ago that there was an issue that they never checked for, but on top of that - I was almost charged an extra $130 because the workers did not even look for an alignment fix warranty. I had to bring it up not once but twice in order to receive my discount (on a repair that shouldn't be needed because Belle Tire was the one who "fixed it" in the first place). Overall, I am highly dissatisfied and will never go back to Belle Tire again. read more

I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff at this particular Belle Tire. I had just got back to the country the night before and it had already started snowing so I was in a rush to switch to my snow tires. They were able to get me an appointment for 6:00pm on Thursday even though I only called them at 5 the day before. On Thursday however, I found out that I wouldn't be able to make it at 6 because my delayed bags were being delivered around that time, so I called them around noon to see if I could go in early and they were very accommodating and I went in at 2:30 instead. When I got to the store I was greeted nicely and they took my keys while I sat on a comfortable chair and drank a complimentary hot chocolate while using the free WiFi to continue complete some work. They completed the tire switch in about an hour and a half and I was able to leave after they promptly checked me out and had me on my way pleased. However, what I did not know at the time (and I did not think to check), was that the hubcaps on my wheels were not put back properly, and one of them fell off (and got lost) within 24 hours of my leaving the store, leaving one of my wheels without a hubcap and looking ugly. read more

I've been a customer at Belle tire for quite a long time, but this location is the best in the area by far. I dropped off my tire that had a small hole in it to be fixed, and by the time I got home I received a call saying it was already fixed. When I got there I got my tire right away and when I asked how much they said it was free of charge! Didn't even buy my tires there. Super friendly employees too. Do not shop here. They gave us the wrong information regarding tires which made us decide to buy more expensive tires. When we argued, they did give us a small discount but did make it feel like it was our fault. After all that they charged us an additional $111 for a customer service plan without explaining to us what it meant and we didn't notice the additional charge on the bill until we got home. read more

I made an appointment and selected my tires on line showed up and they were ready for me all great things! I wAs also offered 0% for 6 months which I used due to the 1000 $ tires I put on my CRV. The service was professional the waiting area was fairly clean. I have 4 stars for this reason... my car was in the back still and my hour appointment was over I needed to get back to work, I was approached by the my sales rep and told that they had checked my alignment and all 4 tires were out! It would be another 90 bucks to adjust this. Now if he would have told me they would be checking this I would have been prepared for the added cost but it was a surprise at the end when I was already late. For that they get 4 stars. read more

My car was being towed there after hours, I gave the store a call and a heads up that the specific tire for my car might need to be ordered. The general manager who answered my initial call was quite dismissive of me. I called again the next morning to make sure they were aware my car had been dropped off, again the same general manager was dismissive and stated they would let me know when it had been looked at. After several hours and no word from the store I called again the assistant manager who was much easier to talk to said he would get my car moved up since it had been towed in the night before, but 3 hours later I still had not heard from anyone. After 6 hours I received a call from the general manager who was abrasive and again dismissive of my concerns, telling me I had to have 4 new tires, and that I had to purchase the warranty. My questions were dismissed and I told him this was unacceptable customer service, at the time of the phone call he told me there is also no way my car could be done that same day. I finally asked to speak with someone else and he said there is no one above him he was the general manager. I said I just didn't want to speak with him, after being out on hold for 10 mins to speak with anyone else I hung up. My call was returned by the assistant manager who then told me they could replace two tires, after I questioned the general manager multiple times now you can replace two tires? And I don't have to purchase said warranty? This was the most horrific experience I've ever had with any car repair. I am paying so much more by having my car towed to discount tire who was able to assist me with my first phone call. I don't recommend anyone using THIS BELL TIRE to anyone. But especially women, I feel like this man heard me on the phone and just thought he could walk all over me, which is overall frustrating to me. I would also like to say after speaking to someone for 5 mins at discount tire they were able to replace the ONE tire that needed to be repaired and gave me the newer version of said tire including a price match for what was initially purchased. read more

These guys are awesome! I walked in in the middle of the afternoon, and they were able to look at my vehicle right away, without awake. They had my alignment done in 20 minutes. They were helpful and friendly. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. It was easy. The waiting room was really nice with the TV, comfy chairs, and free coffee. I sometimes need things to be explained and he just didn't seem to have the time. They did give me about the same diagnosis and estimate as the second place I took my car. I get here and get told me 4 cars and then my car will be serviced FOR JUST WHEEL BALANCING. 4 hours later i come back and say im up next, 30 mins and seeing 4 other cars go into the shop i left. Get a written estimate in advance. Charged me $184 to mount and balance 4 tires and took all day to do it after being told about 2 hours when I dropped it off. Online they show the same service on the same vehicle and size for $94, which is reasonable and competitive with other tire stores. Their excuse is because of the size.... Mine were 22" with a big sidewall which doesn't take any more effort than a smaller diameter besides they are a little heavier. If they would have been a super low profile, it would be understandable to charge more. I never asked to begin with as I have never been charged over $80 for the same service at any other competitor. The manager insists that I was told when I dropped it off which I wasn't because I would have walked right back out and went elsewhere. Don't call your customers liars and feed them a line of bs because you overcharged me. Just because your techs are slow and take way too long, it isn't a reason to charge higher prices. Training your salesman on how to communicate effectively with customers and train your techs to work at a normal pace and you wouldn't have complaints. Only reason I went to Belle Tire in the first place was because it was convenient to my location, but should have known better from having bad experiences with another Belle Tire in the past and the other bad reviews of this location. My took my jeep to Belle Tire on State St and Ellsworth in Ann Arbor on 7/28/21 for a new battery. I was told that a new battery would be $390.00 which I thought was a bit high so I did a google search on the cost. The average I should pay is between $220-265 but I thought the $390.00 included labor which It didn't. So after "paying" I ended up going to Advanced Auto because I wanted a second opinion. I was told by an employee that a battery would cost around $225 and they felt (along with me) that they screwed me and charged me too much. They referred me to Firestone so I ended up going there and was told that I could get one for $254 with labor. I called Belle Tire back and told them I did not want their battery because I felt that they overcharged me. Dave then said they would lower the price to $275.00 and credit me the difference or junk it and I would get a refund minus the core cost of $18.00. At that point I did not want Belle Tire to have any of my money so I let Firestone do the work. After the work was completed, I took the battery back to Belle Tire and they credited me only $372.00 because of the core charge plus they refused to give me back my original battery! The only reason I went to Belle Tire in the first place is because they were right down the street from my job. NEVER AGAIN! People, go with your gut. I knew they were trying to get over on me. They never have to worry about seeing my face in their establishment again. Belle Tire is a rip off do not give them your business! If they were willing to lower the price to $275.00 they were up to no good from the very beginning! read more

I had a horrible experience. Staff made rookie mechanic mistakes (local mechanic said it was the kind of mistake someone using youtube to repair their own car would have made) causing various damage to my vehicle. My trip to them cost me almost $2,000 and they are only willing to reimburse me $150. Local garage has to re do all of the work that Belle Tire did. Frustrated but satisfied. I have decided to update my initial review and will explain why. My experience is as follows. I went in for an emergency on Friday morning. The location is just around the corner from work so I thought that was my best option. I drive at least 81 miles a day, and wanted to avoid putting the donut on. I stopped in, told the associate at the counter I needed my driver-rear tire replaced. She helped me decide on the middle-of-the-road grade tire, and I was satisfied. Got my car back in a reasonable amount of time. Upon pulling in to pick the car up, I noticed the new tire on the rear-passenger side. I didn't pay attention to the driver side tire because I trusted them to perform the work, and I assumed since the new tire was on the opposite side, they must have rotated my tires. I also noticed my low tire pressure light was still on when I got in the car. The next day, Saturday, I noticed the huge spots on my driver-rear tire that brought me in. I called right away and spoke with the assistant manager. After looking up my transaction in the computer, he said it stated my passenger-rear tire. He put me on hold and came back. He said he spoke with the associate who helped me initially. She helps a lot of people with tires through the day, but she was pretty sure I told her passenger-rear. She later said she enters the information as the discussion is occurring, so she felt it was not possible for her to make this mistake. The assistant manager told me the truck that picks up the used tires had already been in so he couldn't offer me my old tire back. He said the best he can do for me is 20% off another tire, the system would not allow anymore. I noticed a $30 off coupon if I sign up for emails, and he said I could use that also. I took my car back in to get the bad tire repaired Monday morning. I was willing to take a lesser quality tire than the one I purchased to get the bad tire replaced, but after the 20% and $30 off, it was a $10 difference, and they didn't have any of the lesser quality in stock. My frustration boiled because I did not feel these explanations were good enough, and I felt taken advantage of. I felt even if the associate who checked me in mistyped, the technicians should have questioned the tread that was left on the tire they took off. The manager explained to me it was not put on a lift due to just being the one tire, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt they didn't see the condition of the driver side tire. I wrote reviews to represent the account, and gave one star. I just received an email from the manager giving further explanation. I appreciated him taking the time to further explain their thought process, and overall, I felt it was fair enough to edit my reviews. They did their best to bring the second tire down to 50% off, accepting 50% of the fault, with no way to really prove whose at fault. I am accepting my 50% as well. With so many things pointing to something not right, I should have investigated further before leaving the parking lot. I really appreciate the manager taking time to explain how they came to their conclusion, and why they felt this was most fair. read more

I had to get a new battery for my car came up here to get a new one and they put one on in 2017. 10 months later 2018 the battery went dead, and I came up to get a replacement. They wanted to act like the battery wasn't really dead and didn't want to replace. Long story short I waited for hours for a replacement and they finally got to it. Fast forward to 2019, 11 months later battery went dead again. I didnt return back I went to another shop only to find out my battery was never replaced because it was corroded and everything. Belletire has done so many horrible things while I was a customer there I can't even count, but I know one thing I will never return to this location or any other unless I've exhausted my options. read more

Quick, friendly, effective service for the small job I brought in. I called ahead with a slow leak in my tire, and after I returned to pick it up, I learned there was a nail in there. It was quickly removed and the tire was repaired. The mechanic handed me the key, thanked me and told me to have a good day. Had my tire dropped off. A few hours later, I called them to ask what the status was. Dave said oh yea, it's done. I got to the store to get it and 4 people were standing there at the desks with 2 cars in the garage on lifts and people working on those. They were gracious enough to put my tire back on. But why did I need to call to find out if it was done or not? I thought calling when service is complete is part of the process. So that's why the 4 stars. I usually recieve great service at Belle Tire. I've used a total of 4 different service locations in the area, but I've had to call to find out that my repairs are complete more than once at different locations. I guess maybe they get busy, but if they are not busy and most of their techs and customer service are standing around, it would be nice if they could at least call... I can not say enough good things about this location! When I needed new tires November 2015, they ordered them and installed them and I purchased the insurance for the tires. Fast forward to April 23, 2016. I had a screw or somethings metal in my tire. I took it to the belle tire in commerce and they thought the object was too close to the side wall and said they would replace it if I could leave my car there until Monday. I couldn't because I live in Ann Arbor. I called the Ann Arbor location on Ellsworth and told them the situation. They were closing in 15 minutes. They ordered my tire so I could get it fixed Monday. The tire arrived, I took my car in and it was painless. The people are GREAT here! I primarily spoke with Jeremy and he made all the difference. No hassle. AND because I purchased the insurance initially I didn't have to BUY a whole new tire! Such a great experience! You guys have my business for as long as I live in Ann Arbor!!! THANK YOU! I fell victim to the pothole massacre that has been plaguing the area as it looks like my front right rim was bent just enough to cause a slow leak in my tire. I stopped at Belle Tire in the afternoon and told the service rep ( I think his name was Neil) about my issue and he took my info and said they would look at it right away. He also broke down the possible costs for repair. I took a seat in the waiting area and about 30 minutes later, he came out and said it was v=certainly a bent rim and since it was a steel rim, he beat on it with a hammer until it was straight. I was impressed but even more so when he handed me my key and said "Have a great day!" They did the work for NO CHARGE! That made my day and did my car drive great after I left! Neil and Belle Tire have just made a new customer! What great treatment!! Needless to say, I'll be back! Oh, did I mention he also filled my other 3 tires with air to get them up to spec?
