Jerry was my service desk person. He was great. I had purchased my tires a few months ago and had low pressure on one a few times. It was also time for a rotation. I was told to just come by and drop it off. Was greeted professionally and everything outlined for me. I received a text when the service was completed. I walked in hoping to get an oil change and a tire rotation. This place was hoppin' and I wondered how long it would take for my car to even be seen. The guy at the counter said an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes, and seeing as I work right around the corner, I left the car and ventured off to do some work. Not 40 minutes later they call me to tell me my car is ready to go. Now that is service. Cars lined up on the hoists and parked in the lot and my car was done that quickly. Updating my review to give this place an even firmer 5 stars. 5 months after getting my new set of tires, I had my first puncture flat - ever. Most of us know the past winter has been literally the worst in history, so I always feared something pothole-based would wreck my tires or alignment. It was actually a large metal object that tore through one of my tires, but that is neither here nor there. I drove from Jackson to Ann Arbor on my spare to get back to this location as I had good dealings with them in the past. I was a walk-in at 5:15pm and was out by 6pm even thought ALL of their lifts had cars on them when I got there. That's pretty impressive. They didn't disappoint again. Even though I hadn't purchased the extended warranty on my tires, the guy behind the counter told me they'd give me a brand new tire - same kind I got @ $120/ea - for just the $19.99 installation cost. Umm, yes please! I'm not sure if I actually qualified for that or they were just being incredibly nice to me, but I'll take it. When I called AAA to help me change my flat, the tow driver told me to beware as a tire place would try to sell me a new tire and "he'd seen worse shaped tires plugged." Obviously it's better to have a new tire than a place try to cut corners and patch one that is irreparable (my last independent car shop tried that, plugged the same tire multiple times and it didn't stick). In short: walking away with a brand new tire for $20, when it wasn't their fault my tire went flat, is amazing customer service. They could have told me my wheel was damaged as I admitted to driving a mile on the freeway with a flat. They could have told me they could patch it and given me a shoddy, dangerous tire. They could have told me I didn't buy the warranty so I'm on the hook for $120. Instead they cut me a break because I was a recent customer. read more

I bought a set of tires here about a year ago. I did not purchase the extra insurance. Well, less than a month later I was parking, and rubbed up against a curb pretty bad with the front tire. It cut the sidewall and exposed some of the internal structure. Needless to say, I was upset. I went to bell tire expecting to pay for a new tire, and they informed me that every tire sold comes with a free "36 Month Pro-Rated Road Hazard Warranty". I thought to myself, if they all come with a warranty, why in the world would I buy your extra warranty? Long story short, they replaced the tire -- all I had to pay was for the amount of tread wear and remounting. I will be doing business here again, I don't think their competitors offer a free warranty, I believe it is extra. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. This review does not apply to all Belle Tire locations. I have taken my cars to Belle Tire for years in the past and have had great experiences at the location in New Hudson/South Lyon. This Ann Arbor location's work is fine but when having my winter tires installed they tried to upsell me saying my Pontiac needed $1500 in parts and labor for suspension repairs. I took the car to an independent shop and 80% of what they quoted was unnecessary and they missed the fact that the front brakes needed replacing. So I saved about $1200 in unnecessary work. Earlier I had brakes replaced on my Honda here (recommended by the Honda dealer but waaay too expensive there). Belle Tire told me I needed a $100 brake fluid change that was unnecessary. Unfortunately I fell for it. DO NOT use this location as they will upsell you all day long for unnecessary repairs. I would certainly consider other Belle Tire locations but I am shopping elsewhere now. I need new tires but am going to Tire Rack and my new independent repair shop. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't go to Belle Tire. After reviewing my receipt again and more closely from the cluster-f day my tire went flat and then was told by Belle Tire that the remaining three tires' treads were not good, I discovered that I was charged for two protection plans that were not discussed with me (and totally optional/unnecessary) and totaled about $135. After seeing other consumer reviews online, it seems that they have a reputation of sneaking hidden charges in the final bill among many other despicable things. read more

I brought my car in with a flat tire (no appointment) and was prepared to wait for at least a few hours. After an hour, I was pleasantly surprised when the service manager let me know everything was taken care of - the valve replaced and I was good to go! Always pleasant to deal with! read more

I had a good experience once at the other Belle Tire in Ann Arbor, so when I was in need of a new tire and saw that there was a location closer to my house, I decided to head there. Unfortunately, unlike the other franchise, the service here was pretty horrendous. Less rude than super-disorganized, nobody knowing who was taking care of what, and customers being ignored as a result. I only needed one tire replaced and was told it wouldn't take long. I arrived at 9am on a Saturday morning and got out of there a little after noon. I'm pretty sure they forgot about my car for the first hour after I arrived. It just shouldn't take that long to replace one tire or at the very least, they should be more forthright about the wait. I saw other people around me equally as frustrated about the same thing. I don't know if it was just a bad morning, but I won't be heading back to find out. read more

The only advantage of this place is low price. Other than that, bad experiences! When my tires got problem, they denied their tire warranty and claimed I has not serviced often enough. This is just a make-up excuse. If you got tires here, they will not mention it nor they will write it down on the receipts. I have bought several tires from this store. Every purchase, even simple ones, took a very long time. Once a simple replacement of two tires took two days! But my worst (and last) experience was when I purchased a full set of expensive tires. Despite being assured that I was "next", I waited 2.5 hours. Worse, shortly after I bought them, my steering wheel began shaking at highway speeds. So I took the car back to Belle. Knowing better than to trust the "we'll get to it soon" promise, I left it with them. I came back 4 hours later to find that they hadn't even looked at it. In disgust, I left and had my mechanic fix the problem by rebalancing the tires Belle had failed to balance correctly in the first place.. If you want poor workmanship done very slowly, Belle is your place. It is definitely not mine. read more

I went in for a tire change and wheel alignment. Left with having to pay for a whole set of new problems. when they were doing the alignment they broke a bolt which I now realize I should never have paid for as they broke it, but this was my first time taking my car anywhere. A month later after hearing strange noises from my car my dad helped me check what was going on. Turns out they didn't even put my brakes on back the right way. So then I had to replace the calipers, rotors, and pads in the rear brakes. save the years of your life that gets taken away due to the headache of having to deal with the incompetence over at this Bell tire. These guys were the absolute best! I was told that I needed two new front tires. They offered several selections, including the price and the labor. They also found that I had bad tie rods and ball joints. I am not from here and noticed that many car service centers or mechanics will give you an estimation of all of the services you need, when they are not/ may not be necessary. They were straight to the point and explained all what needed to be done to my car in a clear and concise manner. Awful experience. Got to Belle Tire at 1045am to get brakes and new tires all around. I am still waiting for my car and its 625. They said it would be done about 2 or 3pm. NOT. Then 4 or 5 at the latest. NOT. Then the salesman went home. Then they told me at 5 it would be done at 6. It's now 630pm. Why did they jerk me around all day? I will never come back. I had been a good customer of this particular shop, and now get treated like dog doo. Not happy and will tell everyone to avoid Belle Tire. Disgusted with the " oh well" attitude. It's now around 8 o'clock. Belle Tire has completed repair and I'm on my way home....coming up to a red light (at about 40-45 mph) I apply pressure to the brake and they lock up. My car is spinning sideways and I wind up in a ditch on Pinckney Dexter Rd. GREAT WORK GUYS!!! Brakes are still locked up and I can't move the car. Can't wait to hear their excuse for almost killing me. read more

Belle Tires sells old tires. The tires on my car were already three years old. New but old. The date code is 4112 which means manufactured in 2012 and now with only 24,000 miles on the tires, I need new ones. I will never go to Belle Tires and I suggest you dont either. Tires expire in 6 years so I can thank Belle Tire for screwing me over. read more

Excellent customer service. I have had many interactions with Belle Tire, and each time I am more impressed. Today, we were given an estimate for new tires, but it turns out they are on backorder. So, we were offered an upgrade for an additional $20 for $70 more worth of tires. Great warranty policy; only cost me $8 to replace a tire that was probably nearing the end of it's life. And the damage was my fault. Incredibly thorough, straight forward pricing, great customer service. I will come back here again and again. read more

First time trying Belle Tire, not a good experience. My car is locked up inside the garage for memorial weekend with no way to get it out - awesome. They told me they would call before they closed on Friday so I could pay. When they did call, it was to offer two additional upsells. I stopped by Belle Tire to simply put air in my tires as they have a great easy-to-use compressor outside their building. Everytime I've stopped by the compressor works great, however today, due to cold weather it seemed to be frozen. A customer who was walking out of the store saw that I was having trouble, and was kind enough to go back into the store to let them know something wasn't working correctly. In two minutes a service guy (AJ was his name) opened the garage door where he was putting tires on another car and filled my tires with a hose to a compressor inside the bay. They are well staffed so you are usually in and out the same day versus alternative shops or dealerships where you are more likely to experience less flexible time frames and or higher labor rates. read more

Terrible! Dropped off car for scheduled appointment for new windshield, returned two hours later, as told, to pick it up. Five employees were standing around the counter (no other customers--now I Know why), all looking confused when I asked to pick up my car. At first they couldn't find the car, I pointed to it out the window, then they couldn't find the keys, sitting in plain view on the counter behind them, and finally, as it turned out, they did not work on the car. My tire had popped and I was unable to drive it up the rd to bell tire with my 6week old son. My mom had came and had taken it up there. There was a gentleman named Howard who works there, who had said it would be about an hr and a half.. I wasn't able to wait that long so he took it back right away and helped me out. After waiting for 50 minutes and watching several cars be taken back that had arrived much later than me, I asked what was going on. They had forgotten. No apology. I was told by my dealer's service department that I would need new tires, brakes and an alignment. I needed it sooner than they could perform the work and went to Belle Tire for just tires as I was nervous about anyone other than my dealer working on my car. The salesperson who answered the phone, Nick, was very knowledgeable about what type of tires my car needed, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable about allowing them to perform the other work on my car. I just returned from a 500 mile trip and am happy to say that my car feels and handles like new. Belle Tire did an excellent job on their work and Nick was on the ball by having my work already written up when I came in for service. I'm very happy and will recommend them. read more

I had a windshield replaced at this Belle Tire facility. They put in a cheap 2nd grade windshield and tried to pass it off as being the PPG glass I had ordered. In addition, they gouged up the paint and left bare metal around the windshield and black greasy finger prints all over the headliner. The response from the store staff was "it's not perfect, but that's the windshield you ordered." They simply could care less. After a week of negotiations with with my insurance company, I ended up having to take the vehicle to a Chevrolet body shop for repairs, which took 5 days to complete. read more

I've been a Belle Tire customer for over 25 years. I left my car at the shop for 4 new tires in late Dec. 2015 and got a call from Belle that I needed an alignment and that my struts needed to be replaced for another $1,081. This was strange since my car was at the Toyota dealer 3 weeks earlier and had an alignment done (hit a boulder in the road) and a complete suspension inspection. So, I declined the work and took the car to the Toyota dealer who did an alignment check and checked the struts. Surprise, surprise--the alignment was 100% in spec and the struts we NOT leaking. In fact, Toyota said the struts looked to be in good shape. So, clearly Belle Tire is trying to rip customers off by trying to sell unneeded services. I've reported them to the Michigan Secretary of State and written to the Belle corporate offices informing them of this practice. This level of dishonesty is despicable. STAY AWAY. 1 star is too high for crooks. Next time I'm going to Costco, who provided a competitive tire quote. read more
