    Nice small place~~

Staying at a friends place and decided to check this place out. Ordered a pizza and wings. Pizza was huge and they give tons of toppings too. Wings were huge too...and they don't spare the sauce either. Price is a little expensive, but quantity is good.

I was in my old neighborhood and decided to get a bite to eat. Not much has changed to the location besides a few menu upgrades and an increase in prices. I ordered a sausage pie & grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing. The pie was oily but edible. I wish they would change up the sauce they use because it can really use more flavor. The grilled chicken salad was delicious but had way too much ranch dressing. The salad was drenched in dressing. I believe their dressings are homemade. The dressing is so creamy, thick & rich in flavor that I don't need much. I couldn't finish it because of this. They have a special on cheese pies. Buy two cheese pies & you get the 3rd one free. Call your order in ahead of time if you're going to pick it up to-go.

Why have I never reviewed Bellerose yet? It's always funny reading the negative reviews because people complain about the stupidest things. Yes, they're pricey and no they're not your typical pizzeria so don't expect to find the New York slice you are looking for here. Bellerose is known for their personal pie pizza pies and that's exactly what we come here for. I've definitely been here a handful of times (maybe not so much recently because I'm getting older and I can't always eat what I want anymore lol). Nonetheless we love coming to Bellerose because it never fails and I love ordering their mushroom pie because I love how they don't skimp on the mushrooms. This time around I paid the extra and added spinach and I enjoyed it very much that I will definitely be ordering that combo again. The boyfriend enjoys their ham pie (which they also don't skimp on) the most and of course he loves that we always get a free cheese pie for ordering two. It's definitely one of our go to spots in the neighborhood. I'm glad that they finally start taking card. FYI: parking lot can get crowded during peak hours.

Ordered the 10" personal pie with mushroom for delivery. It was about $9, a bit pricey for the size of the pie, but it was good. Delivery was fast

I usually order the chicken "sandwich". It's more like a gyro/shawarma. They put chicken, lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. It's a pretty solid choice for lunch. They give you a side of tahini with the sandwich, and if you ask for hot sauce they give you a pretty good/spicy side of that too. Another good choice here if you're ordering for 2 or more people - when you order 2 personal pizzas with a topping, they give you one regular personal pizza free. They also have a good falafel. Their pizza is okay - I only come here for the chicken "sandwich" or falafel.

Hit or miss pizzaria. Last pizza order bottom was burnt & inedible. Check order carefully before leaving restaurant.

The restaurant was…read morepacked when we arrived on a Friday night, but thankfully did not have to wait as we didn't need a booth. We ordered a large pie with pepperoni and a calzone with sausage. Both items came out together like we asked and was far too much food for two. My first bite of the pizza was hot, crunchy, and delicious. I love fresh oven pizzas with a crispy bottom crust. The chefs did an amazing job cooking it just right. I also loved the fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It really elevated the pizza to another level. The crust was great all around with a slight oven char. Lastly the calzone took me by surprise as it had no sauce and was filled with ricotta cheese as opposed to mozzarella. It came with a small cup of hot marinara sauce for dipping/pouring. It was definitely an interesting calzone but don't think it was worth the price. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and Nick's and would highly recommend it. I do wish the pricing was a bit more fair when it came to full vs half pie toppings as well as the calzone.

My friend has a newborn and we were trying to find restaurants in the area that would be stroller-friendly (which actually isn't an easy task, to my surprise) and finally landed on Nick's because we had gone there together when it reopened. And it always seems very family and kid-friendly. We definitely went to the right place. I'm not a parent and I've never pushed a stroller without some bumps here and there, and I was so worried about helping get the stroller through the 2 doors. One of his staff saw us from the inside and immediately came out to help as soon as we reached for the door. Nick's paternal instincts definitely came into full effect because he looked out for us and wanted to give us the best seats so that we can have the stroller beside us. The pizza is excellent and I absolutely would come here over again and again, but the warm service from Nick himself and his staff is what truly makes this place so special in the community for so long. I didn't get a chance to come here during those formative years before the fire but when the restaurant finally reopened last year, it was incredibly sad to hear Nick explain how the fire and rebuilding devastated him and the business for over 2 years.

Now that I'm up in the Catskills, it happens even less- unless we're all traveling together. Gino's came recommended by one of my sisters as a spot for a light dinner before heading to her place and it didn't disappoint. Step into Gino's and you'll know immediately this isn't your average pizza joint. Look up and you'll see those tin ceiling tiles. Not the shiny kind- but a deep, opaque black that gives Gino's a cool, almost moody vibe. Total drama. The black runs along the borders too and it puts everything together in this low-key but in-your-face way. Just a nice space that feels sharp. One of my sisters ordered the pepperoni square, my twin sis ordered the Gino's Salad with artichokes add-on and I had a similar salad with grilled shrimp. My sis liked her square- though I will say, it looked kinda thick. Our salads were incredible though. Sit-down service was great too and our server made all the difference. The guys behind the counter were a riot too. This was a nice spot for our lite bites and a great walking distance from where my sister lives.

Vincenzo's Pizza has the fluffiest and more garlicky garlic knots Aside from their absolutely amazing garlic knots, we had their spinach slice, mushroom slice, and chicken marsala slice. The spinach slice was just heavenly, it was like having creamed spinach in the form of a pizza. Very heavy but your soul is happy. The other 2 were also fantastic in their own right. The service was fast and friendly and it's so clean in here, I thought it was a grand opening. There are plenty of pizzerias in my area but I'd gladly do the 15 minute drive to Vincenzo's any time.

The soup was okay, but it wasn't something I would order again. I decided to try something different the second time and ordered the stuffed mushrooms, Linguine Seafood Fra Diavolo, and a cannoli. I didn't enjoy the stuffed mushrooms at all. The mushrooms themselves were cooked well, but the filling (the most important part) lacked flavor and wasn't as savory as this dish typically is. The Seafood Fra Diavolo wasn't that good & the shrimp was very mushy, to the point where you barely needed to bite into it. The mussels barely had any meat & it was stuck to both sides of the shell. I didn't enjoy that at all. The cannoli also had very little filling, which was disappointing since I enjoy a cannoli every now and then. I can't say whether I would order from here again, since my second order was really disappointing. The two stars are only for the tortellini. If I do decide to order from here again, it will probably be quite a while before I do.
