Garlic Bread: Nothing particularly special other than it being really nice bread with a bit of garlic flavor and aroma that weren't particularly strong. Actually the highlights of this were the homemade bread being great itself and the marinara sauce being very flavorful! Pepperoni Pizza: Now this is what amazing pizza is. My favorite fast food pizza is Pizza Hut, and this feels like what Pizza Hut WISHES it actually was. The crust is a great balance of crispy on the bottom and fluffy throughout. (Honestly this place just makes REALLY good bread I guess.) The cheese melted and stretched like your childhood cartoon made you think pizza cheese should be. The pepperoni was nicely cooked on top being the perfect amount of crisp without being burnt. This pizza was perfect in its simplicity. The side of ranch it came with was just a pleasant bonus to cool it off from being so hot. It's now the afternoon after having this for dinner and I can confirm heating it in a pan on the stove brings it back to the same quality as before, so this also makes for good leftovers! Our flat only orders Bellissimo after a night out. Clouded by the booze, we forget our lessons learned the previous times ordered... just taste like cardboard crust. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza (which btw doesn't come with cilantro) and the few seconds after the initial bite the only thing you taste is crust. The pepperoni pizza was perfect for my personal tastes. The crust was not too thick or too thin. It was crisp but still had a nice chew and it had a nice bready flavor. I also really enjoyed the sharpness of the sauce. It just all came together very well. Since my return to San Francisco, this is definitely one of my favorite pizzas. The wings were just ok. They were spicy and had decent overall flavor. However, they had an oily texture that seemed like they had been fried in oil that was not quite hot enough. Ordering was easy through Grubhub. Delivery was prompt, professional, and polite. For $3-5 per slice, it can be quite pricey. However, this was one delicious slice of pizza! My friend and I needed something quick to eat on the way to another friend's place and found this spot on the way. There were a couple people ahead of us, but the line went through quickly. Most pizza places are stingy with the seasonings and toppings, but you won't have that trouble here! Trust me when I say that this place and all the food it serves, is memorable and delicious! I came here (the physical store) twice during my time in San Francisco - once at noon on Monday and once at 1:30 am that night. The pizza was just that good. Food: I got an x-large (16 inch) pizza both times I went. They only have small (12 inch) medium (14 inch), and x-large pizzas. I had the Tijuana and the California pizzas, both of which were incredible! Of the two, I would recommend the California because the pesto and spinach toppings worked so well together on that pizza. Service: The service is not roadrunner fast. In fact, it's probably average at best, despite the fact that my friends and I were the only ones in the store for lunch. The worker was patient with us while we tried to decide what pizza and even asked us if we wanted to change pizzas after we had already paid. However, because we went to the store both times (despite the fact that delivery is free), we did not get to experience their delivery service. Interior: It is not spacious inside. There are a three round, tall tables with probably six chairs, and then you also had the option to sit along the wall, where there was another four chairs. Pizza here is not the cheapest pizza in the world. I split the cost 4 ways and then 3 ways on my two visits here, respectively. On occasions when you're looking for some quality pizza, Bellissimo's is the place to go. read more

They just stole $15.17 from me. It was surreal. I ordered from their website, which uses a service called SimpleMenu. The order went through and I received an email confirmation. I went to the store to pick up my order, and they told that they did not have my order. The guy behind the counter asked for my order number. I gave him the order number, I showed him my email confirmation, and I even showed him that I was charged in my bank account in the bank app on my phone. He acted as though I was engaging in an elaborate plot to steal chicken wings from them. I asked him for the phone number of the service they use for their online orders or even a number for an owner or manager. He managed to give me the name of an alleged manage. There were a number of customers around to witness my embarrassment when trying to explain to this genius behind the counter that I was charged even though they do not have my order. He looked at me with disdain multiple times and said that this has never happened. I half expected him to call the police on me for *them* stealing *my* money. Order at your own risk. It might just be that they did not like my demographics and thus treated me like a criminal. If this happens to you, they might actually treat you differently. But what annoyed the most is that the guy behind the counter was extremely unhelpful in giving me *any* information on how I could resolve the problem. They earned this one star--I only wish I could give them a (well-deserved) negative rating after this experience. read more

We did not do delivery. We went in to the store, ordered a pizza, and took it to go. The guys are so friendly, and I could see them making our pizza fresh. A whole pizza with "three" toppings (one premium and one regular) was around $23. Definitely fed two hungry people with leftovers. Smelled amazing, and people even stopped us on the street to say it smelled so good. Unfortunately, the taste was just average. The cheese wasn't as gooey or stringy as I'd like. When not ordering by the slice getting a whole pizza will be made fresh for you. Yup it all started with a ball of dough! We ordered a 14" medium Garlic Chicken Pesto Pizza...is listed on one of their specialties. This pie meshed well, I like it fresh and we got that. No greasy stuff, thank gawd. Pesto swirled, amazing! Chicken with the garlic tasted well. We asked for extra grated cheese and crushed peppers to go, then we were told that we have those extras inside the pizza box, only to find one packet of cheese and one packet of crushed peppers?!? dang you suck. Overall we enjoyed our pizza and when you finish a medium pie for two within an hour, its good. If you are looking for fancy gourmet styles go elsewhere. This place is like many city New Yorker pizza joints.
