We ordered the salmon salad (club?), garlic pub fries, chicken flatbread, and calamari (didn't take a picture of the calamari). The salmon was seasoned well with the salad and very light. Similarly, the chicken flatbread was lightly seasoned and not heavy, which we enjoyed. The garlic fries were the heaviest, but that wasn't a bad thing. The calamari was crispy and their spicy aioli dip paired well. The patio seating was pleasant and the weather was perfect. We liked the green plants and nature all around. There weren't many customers around the lunch hour, which allowed us to sit in peace and quiet. The service was quick and our server was great. No beautiful pictures today but but but... the experience was fantastic! Food - burgers were excellent - juicy and well done; garlic fries are good - with real garlic not just salt. Battered cod was perfect, not greasy at all, poke was fresh and tasty. Desserts were interesting and surprisingly good. Great service! Our server was spectacular. Pleasant always smiling. Love it when they don't write it down but remembers everything. Prices are very reasonable. Everything under $20. We were running away from places serving food for $50-100 per person. Excellant meal as usual but I have to say something about this. The overuse of tech is getting ridiculous. I picked up an order to go and paid cash. This process used to take about 30 seconds. Well they've computerized the process. They have to enter all the info into the computer and the system is very slow. What was a 30 second process took 4-5 minutes. My husband and I were in Napa and wanted to try Hop Creek for the first time for my birthday dinner. It was dark when we arrived and the shopping plaza that its located it was not well lit. We parked and got out, not sure if we were in the correct place but finally saw the sign. We almost did not continue to look for the restaurant because of the minimal lighting and confusion as to where the actual restaurant was at. I am glad we did continue to the restaurant as we walked in, the employees were nice. The restaurant was busy but we were seated fairly quickly to the patio area we requested. It was so nice and spacious with lots of heating lamps, beautiful greenery and lovely lights. I was so happy we decided to eat outside. Our waitress was absolutely a doll and was very helpful. We decided to just get some appetizers as we had a very large and late lunch. We chose the fried pickles to start out with. My husband chose the chicken bacon flatbread with the ranch and bacon on the side, and I chose the combo flatbread. As we were waiting on our food, we just enjoyed how peaceful the patio was. It was a chilly night but the heating lamps helped keep us comfortable. When we got the pickle fries, my husband pointed out the dip. It was supposed to be cucumber ranch dressing, but it tasted more like dill ranch. Either way it was very good with the pickle fries. We both enjoyed our flatbread pizza. My husband really enjoyed the cheese option that was used and I liked that they was a good amount of toppings on both. They also gave me a complimentary dessert that was so big and tasted amazing! We definitely want to come back, and try the main menu, not just the appetizers. I do suggest maybe more lighting and more obvious signage as to not confuse the people who have never eaten here. Came here with my dad to celebrate his 63rd birthday, and everything was on point. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer -- fresh and flavorful. I had the Western Burger with pepper jack (juicy and full of flavor), and my dad had the fried cod, which he really enjoyed. What really made the night was the staff. Whayett, Clara, Josh, Ruby, Courtney, Melissa, Owen, and Mike all helped us out and made sure everything was smooth. They even let our dog hang out with us on the patio, which meant a lot. My go to meal has always been their delicious fish and chips but the last 3 or 4 times I have ordered it it has been tough and rubbery and didn't taste like cod. Those crispy little brined beauties were so good we briefly debated switching careers to full-time pickle critics. The Brewsed Black and Bleu burger? A glorious tower of bold flavor, beefy bravado, and bleu cheese sass. It punched our tastebuds in the best possible way and left us emotionally bonded to our napkins. And let's talk about the Classic Reuben on marble rye. If sandwiches could write poetry, this one would've penned a heartfelt sonnet about melted Swiss and sauerkraut destiny. This is a (primarily) local spot, well off the beaten path. It has very good pub food, a good selection of beers (sorry, I have never had wine here), and a great outdoor seating area (dog friendly). Note that the outdoor seating area is nice both in warm and cold weather. I have not eaten anything bad here. The menu is what you would expect for a brewpub. They have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and desserts, plus some other items. I have eaten here many times with family members, and all of our selections have been good. On my most recent visit, my son and I shared their flatbread margarita "pizza", which was very good. My son also had a bowl of clam chowder. I had as my main course their Shrimp Louie salad, which I have had many times and is always excellent, and they don't scrimp on the shrimp (Bay Shrimp). My son had their fish tacos, which I have had in the past, and which are also really good. For dessert, my son had their Crème Brûlée donut (a special dessert, not always on the menu but it should be!) that came with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It was delicious (I had one bite). I have also had, in past visits, their buffalo chicken salad, their Reuben sandwich, burgers, fish and chips, shrimp tacos, and other flatbread pizzas. I have never had a bad meal here, it has always been good to very good. They always have a good selection of beer, which changes often. Their tap selections are always interesting, and there is something for everyone. They have a good selection of wine, which I have never sampled here, and also a bevy of non-alcoholic drinks as well. While we were eating, the manager stopped by to make sure everything was good (it was). This is not unusual. The waitstaff is always great; they are helpful and friendly. Took my sister for her 83rd birthday today with my other sister, my nieces, my great niece, my great, great niece and my cousin to hot Creek for lunch today. Melissa was our server and everybody else that works there really nice to us.. I had the fish and chips three of them and french fries and they're yummy. Yum. My niece had the fish tacos. She like those my sister had the sandwich she liked that, my sister had a hamburger with bacon, and that was really good. The service was wonderful. The price point for a party of 2 in Napa was pretty good, compared to other neighborhood restaurants this is the most inexpensive I've seen in a while. The outdoor patio is so beautiful, I really enjoyed sitting outside in the sun with the sound of water flowing near. We have 3 different servers touch our table and they were all very friendly. Now that I am on my plight to get MY ELITE BACK YELP I am reviewing the S out of everyone. Lets start with this. The other day Pliny the Younger came out. I dont know if you all are hip with it but its one of the rarest beers in the world and blah blah blah. I read online that Hop Creek had some. Emailed them in a jiffy the other morning and I can't remember his name but I believe I just saw him said replied to me so quickly (I prefer email and text and ill tell you what I cant even get the cemetary my mom is at to email me back. Why offer it???) and let me know they had a keg back in February but it sold out in 4 hrs. Points scored right there. You obviously tend to the email and you answer questions with a quickness. Totally won me over. Today, Killa B and I decided to drop by cuz I do love their fried brussels sprouts. However this time we seen the pickle fries and went that direction. I got a Pliny (the younger insert sad face) and Killa B got a Margarita. Everything was good but there are a couple of standouts. 1. Our server. I always worry about going to a restaurant cuz I aint gonna eat a full meal. I prefer to eat at home but occasionally we go out and have an appetizer and a couple of drinks and I dont want to feel like im being pressured. Our server was super cool and accomodated us accordingly and was taken care of accordingly. 2. Kille B loves the clam chowder. They had clam chowder on the menu and we got it to go. We stared at it for a bit and I finally decided that I would give it a try. F!. Best clam chowder this guy has ever had. Creamy, buttery on the end oh my goodness, oh my goodness. I need to go find out if I can get a bigger container cuz what we got aint gonna last! The ambiance is real cool too. Monday after the Superbowl I took my 50 year old sports car out for an installation lap from Vallejo to Napa on 29 and back the scenic route. Hop Creek was a good half way point to stop for lunch and I had read that the fish & chips were good here. My server, April, was cheerful and attentive and brought my beer right away. The fish & chips l were served shortly after and lived up to expectations. They arrived hot from the fryer. The cod was cooked perfectly in a beer batter that provided a distinct crunch when I bit into it. The tarter sauce was a little bland but not to the point of spoiling the meal. The frys were crisp and hot and slightly browned and not too oily and with no unpleasant cooking oil tastes. A great find for us on our recent trip to the Napa area. We wanted a down-home locals place, and this is it for sure. Great attentive service in a good vibe atmosphere. Our server was April, and she greeted us lie long lost friends instead of travelers. She later told us that their business is mostly locals. I had the chicken & hominy (a variation of pozole) soup, and Dixie had BLTB sandwich. Bacon, lettuce, tomato and more bacon. You want bacon, you fog it. It was really a bacon sandwich with lettuce/tomato garnish. Exactly what a bacon lover, well, loves. Plenty of good beers on tap, and a full bar for those who desire. We sat outdoors, which had umbrellas for shade. We ordered the cobb salad, chicken pesto sandwich, fish tacos, ale-battered cod, and the salmon club. Everything was delicious! The ale-battered cod was perfectly friend and the fish super flaky. The buns on all the sandwiches were perfect. The salmon on the salmon club was perfectly cooked! Just finished a hike nearby and needed some good food. We stopped by Hop Creek and it was exactly what we needed. We were greeted right away as soon as we walked in. Our server April was incredible! She gave us food recommendations and was very helpful. We got some beers, wings with the three sauces on the side (Yum), we shared the margarita flatbread which was delicious. We were seated quickly and our friendly and very attentive server, Melissa, made us feel quite welcome. The fish and chips were some of the best I've had in Napa. The fish was very fresh and the fry and breading were perfect. Portion size was just right and I really enjoyed it with coleslaw and malt vinegar.
