This location has sadly closed! We went last week and everything was being taken down and they had little to no ingredients left to make drinks :(

Great vibes but drinks were average. I tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and thought it was a bit underwhelming compared to other mango drinks I've tried like Auntea Jennys. Sizes aren't that big either for the price. It's a decent place to chill with friends and located with other stores - not bad to walk around.

This is my go-to place whenever I crave boba. I love that they have a wide variety of teas and customizable sweetness levels, and you can add fresh boba of your choice. Their Peach Jasmine Milk Tea is not too sweet and perfectly suits my taste, so it is one of my frequent orders. The staff is also friendly, which makes the experience satisfying. As for parking, it is located inside a large plaza, so parking is always available whenever I go. It is also fun to grab a boba and go shopping at the Target right next door.

Peach oolong milk tea with cream top

Not bad. A huge selection, so hard to decide since a lot of drinks looked good. Staff was patient. Our party of 4 was satisfied with our drinks. Beware: the strawberry peach sparkling tea was very sweet (like OG tea places' 100% sweet). I liked my peach oolong milk tea with cream top. It was truly cream--whipped cream. And my favorite part was some ?barley inside. The pecans were a nice touch, but also tasted like they could've been fresher. My friend liked his hot peach oolong milk tea, which surprisingly also had barley at the bottom. My other friend and my bf liked their strawberry peach sparkling tea. They said it was like a sweet mocktail. One out of two of them found it to be too sweet (the other one likes soda and would probably drink it every hot day if it were good for you). The decor is cute and clean. Some large families came in on a temperate March Sunday mid-afternoon, so it got a bit busy. Overall average and the barley in peach oolong MT was a delightful touch. However, since I only might come back if in the area, 3 stars for now.

Went back today to try some other drinks and Jesus was super helpful! He provided great customer service and answered all our questions. The coco dew was probably my favorite drink today.

Cute place, if you enjoy your drink here, there are tables, games and table top activities available. Check out the counter space opposite of ordering and see what is displayed. Excellent tea and creative flavors. Our group of 5 ordered different drinks and we were all satisfied. I ordered their signature drink mango pomelo with my adjusted sweetness preference, wow it was so good, so refreshing, not tart, perfect! We came on a Sunday, there were many drink orders Togo. Had a little wait for our drinks, but didn't mind . Seemed to be one worker making the drinks at the time, and she was killin' it! Made each drink with intention, consistency, many satisfied customers. She was in her zone. Amazing job! It's hard to find good workers these days!

Bengong Tea is one of my favorite places to grab a drink and relax. Their teas are always delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, and they also offer tasty macarons if you're looking for a sweet treat. The café has ample seating, free WiFi, and even a selection of games, making it a great spot to hang out with friends, study, or get some work done. Another bonus is that they frequently have drink specials available through the Retail Therapy app, which makes an already great experience even better. If you're looking for a comfortable tea shop with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent drinks, Bengong Tea is definitely worth a visit.

I got a grape cheese slush and a passion fruit sparkling tea. Both drinks were delicious. The only thing that I wasn't a big fan of was with large drinks with the dome lid the straws are too short and barely stick out of the cup making it a bit hard to mix the drinks. I wasn't able to mix the grape cheese slush and ended up drinking just the cheese at the end which wasn't bad but I would've preferred if it was mixed together. There is a kiosk that you can order from and a screen that lets you know when your order is ready so there is minimal interaction with staff. There's lots of tables and seating indoors. There are also activities to do and card games that you can use while you hand out at the store.

Osmanthus Rice Milk Frost $6.95 with brown sugar boba (extra $1)
    Mary D.

BenGong's Tea is a tea shop chain that blends traditional Chinese tea with modern flavors. They offer milk teas, fruit teas, cheese teas, slushies, and other signature drinks. I got the OSMANTHUS RICE MOCHI FROST. It was a creamy, blended drink with notes of floral. It had a bit of a rice wine taste to it which I enjoyed. It was also topped with crunchy bits of water chestnut boba. I also added boba for $1, but I didn't know the drink already had the water chestnuts so it was a little too much texture. I got the drink at 25% sweetness, which was perfect. The boba was warm but a little hard and I would not get that in the future. They were super busy on a weekend around lunch time and we waited about 10-15 minutes for our order. The inside was cute and there are a few tables to enjoy your tea. There is also a "wish tree" as an nice decoration. I look forward to trying their mango sago, black rice taro milk tea, other specialty drinks, as well as their milk and fruit teas in the future. Stay thirsty my friends! Yelp Review #8- 2026

The staff was very nice and there's plenty of parking next to Target. Unfortunately, the drinks tasted very artificial and like someone added essential oils. Orange Jasmine: the orange tasted very fake and you couldn't taste the Jasmine tea. Osmanthus Rice Mochi: the osmanthus had a fake floral perfume taste and the rice was like popping boba. The mochi got stuck in the straw. Da Hong Pao Tea: this tasted like a regular black tea with a weird tangy aftertaste. The interior had cute decorations and some seating but the drinks were unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it unless you get a fruit smoothie.

Walked by this place yesterday just getting some steps in. The wishing tree caught my attention in the front window and thought it was nicely decorated. Noticed this is a tea spot and decided to check it out. I ordered the coco-watermelon with brown sugar boba at 50% sweetness. The watermelon and coconut were subtle and enjoyable. The only unfortunate thing is that by the time I finished the drink it was simply shaved ice. Still every sip was pleasant. The service was good but its obvious they need another tea maker in the kitchen. The staff was completely overwhelmed and did their best, but the order tickets kept rolling in faster than the drinks could be made. Respect the hustle, but this place needs at least 2 more staff members to stay on top the drink rush.

We stopped by Bengong's Tea in Irvine for the first time and overall, it's a super cute spot with great photo opportunities. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and definitely a fun place to grab drinks. We ordered some of their most popular menu items: the Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea with boba, Osmanthus Rice, Mango Strawberry Boom, and Mango Pomelo Sago. The Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea wasn't my favorite--it had a noticeable rice wine / wine-like flavor , which may appeal to some but wasn't for me. The Mango Strawberry Boom had good flavor, but unfortunately it wasn't blended all the way, so there were chunks of ice throughout the drink, which took away from the experience. On the other hand, the Mango Pomelo Sago was really well blended and delicious--smooth texture and spot-on flavor. If the Mango Strawberry Boom had been blended properly, it would've easily been a tie between the two. One nice touch was the free little gift they were offering when you spent a certain amount--I'm always a fan of small incentives like that. We did come about 15 minutes before closing, so I suspect that may have affected the quality of the blended drinks. I honestly think if we had come earlier in the day, the experience might've been different. I'd be open to giving it another try at a better time

Osmanthus Cloud Milk Tea & Burnt Brown Sugar Milk
    Cindy H.

Located at the Market Place in Irvine! I got to try: Burnt brown sugar milk (5/5) - one of the better brown sugar milk drinks I've had. The burn brown sugar on top creates a toasty flavor that goes well with this decadent drink. I also enjoyed their fresh boba. Osmanthus cloud milk (3/5) - got 75% sweet, and it was still on the sweet side. There is a slight floral flavor but it's a little overwhelmed with milk, overpowering the osmanthus tea. There's seating inside with games to play with while you enjoy your drinks. Also convenient kiosk order. Service was pretty slow, but that just shows that their drinks are popular.

The grilled cheese was super cheesy and delicious. I especially loved the marinara/tomato sauce that it came with! But warning, it's a lot of cheese. If you are lactose intolerant, you've been warned! The breakfast sandwich and burrito were also good!! Nothing too special, but still yummy The avocado toast was tasty, but some of the ratios were a bit off. A little too much goat cheese and it was loaded with avocado (perhaps a bit too much for the bread it was on), but I did really love the addition of pickled onions and balsamic glaze. Again, I liked it but it didn't wow me. Overall, good!

Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. This drink was truly an exceptional culinary experience. I will be back again and again for the Banana Cold Foam.

I always buy an oatmilk latte here, and the coffee taste is deep and aromatic. Definitely one of the best in Orange County for the pure quality of its coffee. For Orange County, the location has a nice community vibe. Eclectic mix of tables, but there aren't always enough of them, so it always seems packed. Staff are always extremely nice. Appreciating the history, great coffee, and community feel is one thing, but you should know in advance that they do not offer wifi here. That is my only complaint and the only reason this gets a 5 and not a 4 star. Either $1.25 for oat milk was a total turn off for me, it seems a little greedy. Most places charge $.75-$1. The rewards system is not very rewarding as it is one free donut for every $100 you spend.
