This is another one of my favorite local places to eat. Their food is always fresh and the chicken chow mein is my favorite. The owner is super sweet and works her tail off. I tried this place twice. I'm not a fan of the rice used - I like sticky rice and this didn't clump up at all for easy eating with chopsticks. However, I really enjoyed the orange chicken and the General Tso's chicken. My daughter loved the sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken. My son enjoyed the beef lo mein, but wasn't happy with the pork fried rice. The egg rolls, spring rolls, and hot and sour soup were all delicious. read more

Normally 5 stars! Today only three. The girl at the from, taking the orders was asked to include xtra teriyaki and soy sauce. We arrived home and there was none. I DoorDashed from Best Lee's tonight because DoorDash said it was the most ordered from location in my area. I also ordered from them because they have a 4.5 rating on DoorDash. Unfortunately the money I spent there was a waste. The General Tso's tasted like chemically created orange chicken. The steamed vegetables with shrimp was slimy and flavorless. The chicken and steamed broccoli had bits of beef, peas and carrots in it. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

Today, in the Abq Journal Business section under RESTAURANT INSPECTIONS [8/20/2018] page 19, it was reported for "immediate closure"...and also reported, "due to repeated low-scoring priority violations from previous inspections...etc. Please think twice before patronizing this restaurant. We ordered our food to go and bring back to the office to eat. Unfortunately, very disappointed in the BBQ Ribs that I ordered. They were dry, certainly not fresh, and then had some kind of reddish sauce on them. The pieces of meat were cut up into small strips. I should have ran when I pulled into the parking lot! The restaurant had seen better days, but I was committed as we had ordered online and paid for the meal. We had ordered a pupu tray for our appetizer,hot and sour soup, our main meal was sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian Beef, Kung Po chicken and House Special Fried Rice. The egg rolls were all cabbage and soggy. There was a slab of chicken on a skewer that was dry, a chunk of red glazed pork (could not tell what it was) the best thing was crab Rangoon, and even that wasn't as good as some I've had. The Mongolian beef was tough strips of beef lots of green bell pepper and onions (who puts bell pepper in Mongolian beef?), the Kung Po was small chunks of chicken and lots of over cooked zucchini. The sweet and sour chicken was okay , but the sauce was cold. It was so bad we didn't even save our left overs! Save your $$ and pass by Best Lees! read more

Warning: The food at this place is addictive. I find myself craving their lunch buffet at least once a week. They seem to have a regular clientele who feels the same way. The owner, Lina, is a very sweet lady and bustles around constantly making sure everyone is taken care of. I like to start with a bowl of egg drop soup with wonton chips. Standouts on the buffet include crab rangoon and the salt and pepper shrimp, but everything is fresh and totally flavorful and delicious. The only thing on the buffet I don't care for is the chocolate pudding, but really, who goes to a Chinese restaurant for chocolate pudding. It's surprisingly really good here, and it's really cheap as well. Tonight I had a large wonton soup (had like 10 pieces of wontons) for $2.95, 10 cream cheese rangoons for $4.25, and a huge helping of general tso's chicken for $9.95. I can't stress enough how much food this was for this absolutely great price. They've won me over with their pricing alone. For two people, an $18 dinner has given us leftovers for another meal and a snack. The food is fairly decent. I knew what I was getting when I walked into the place. You get what you pay for, basically. But the flavors were there, and the wait staff was very friendly. Ours couldn't speak english that well, but she greeted us with a smile and was very expedient with our requests. It's a very clean restaurant and looks to strive for a more modern look. But I would recommend getting rid of the pink, and instead using blue table cloths. Also there wasn't any music playing, and their TV was also off. There is a lack of atmosphere, but eh, I wasn't expecting much because that's what you usually get when you go to a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. I gave this 5 stars because it really is one of the best Chinese restaurants around here. I haven't been able to find one with a good staff, good food, and comfortable prices like this around Rio Rancho. If anyone knows of one, let me know. My wife said the Moo Goo Gai Pan was one of the best made. We also had noodles and sweet and sour pork and they were good. The Orange beef had to much Orange rind taste to it for me. It's funny but my husband asked me if we should Yelp this restaurant. I didn't think it was worth the energy I would use to write my review but here I go anyway. I figure if I save someone some money and poor use of stomach space it was worth it. We went to Best Lee's this afternoon for their buffet. Usually when I go to a Chinese buffet I like to get down on the hot and sour soup. Theirs was mediocre at best. The chicken and broccoli wasn't too bad but I had to eat it with fried rice because a small handful of white rice sat in the warming pan drying up. A little later they brought another sacrificial bowl of rice out to the warming pan. Anyway, I've gone on long enough. Short story: Stay home, eat a sandwich, save about $14 and you'll be a lot happier. On our way out I saw a review on the wall stating "Best restaurant in Rio Rancho" the menus said the same. I order delivery from Best Lee's and each time has been wonderful. All items arrive very hot and fresh and crispy spring rolls...nothing is soggy. The chicken and pork in my menu items have been delicious, tender and moist quality cuts and trimmed of any fat. The flavors are fabulous. Delivery hasn't taken long if I call around 3:30 to 4 p.m. and the prices are very reasonable for the abundance of food delivered. I love Best Lee's. read more

The building is older but they play nice music that gives the restaurant a local ambiance. The owners are so nice and rhey recognize us every time we go in to dine or takeout! I ordered moo shoo pork and wonton souptoday, I was disappointed with both. First of, moo shoo pork was too salty. 2nd of all, it wasn't moo shoo pork, it was like moo shoo cabbage. She also told me that out of the $91.00 bill I paid to DOOR DASH, she only receives $36.00 and DOORDASH KEEPS THE REST!!!! What a rip-off. I contacted DOORDASH and they never returned my calls and I never received any follow-up. I love the wonton soup soo much! I order it on dash and let me just say that the broth brought me back to life after I caught the flu. The green onion is fresh and the dumplings (pork) are amazing. The lady that runs the front has to be one of the nicest person I've ever meet. She remembers peoples, makes them feel wanted and welcomed and is always trying to make things better. If that wasn't enough I love their food. I usually get the seasme chicken if we go for dinner and the chicken is always hot, crispy and not drowning in sauce. My husband doesn't have a usual, he likes to try all sorts of things and he hasn't found one thing there he doesn't like. The lunch buffet isn't going to be near the size as other places but its fresh and different. I love the noodles and the pepper chicken that they put out, my husband is addicted to the "meat on a stick" they have on the buffet. The nice lady noticed one time I never got the soup at the buffet but she remembered we love the wonton (they don't have it on the buffet) and she brought me out a bowl, just so caring. I also love the hot tea they serve and the crispy noodles they serve at dinner time with some kind of sauce (never thought to ask what it was) She also brings out watermelon sometimes when its in season which is just a perfect way to end a meal. We went to Best Lee's for takeout on Christmas Day and it was delicious! The food is freshly made and some of the best Chinese food I've ever had (including Chinatown in NYC). The sesame chicken and rice noodles were awesome and my picky kids loved them. The Mongolian beef was sweet and spicy. The fried rice was delish, not greasy or overdone. We tried this place on a recommendation. We were not impressed! The service was very slow, even though not busy, and the place was dirty. There was gunk on the table we were seated at, I showed it to the waitress and asked her to please clean it, and she never came back to do it. So I got a wet wipe out of my bag, and cleaned it myself. Looking around, it seems like they don't spend much time cleaning. The food was just ok, and portions were large. We took quite a bit home (had to get the to go box ourselves since the waitress never came back around), but we ended up throwing it out since neither of us wanted to eat it. The clean factor of the place really put us off. If the eating area is dirty, the kitchen is likely worse. We won't be back. read more
