My first PSL for the season goes to Better Buzz! It's my first time having their PSL and it was sweeeeeeeet. I let my kids try it and they were like it's delicious!! I actually ended up making popsicles with half of them so we will see how delicious they are in ice pop form. It was so sweet I could only drink half but obviously didn't want to waste and thought it while be delicious dessert! I also tried their Better Breakfast Sandwich. I liked the flavors and melting cheesy deliciousness with the arugula but it felt microwaved so if I waited a little more I think the bread would've gotten hard - so beware if you're getting it to go! The acai bowl was good as usual! A bit sweet for my liking but it's a bowl of fruit on fruit! It looked like the music was quieter and there were more benches so great atmosphere! read more

It was my first time trying Better Buzz. The expectations were quite high given the popularity. There was a long drive-thru so we decided it would be better to order our drinks inside the store. I think the drive-thru would've been faster. We stood in line to order through the window for almost 20 minutes. It was busy which I expect is the usual for this coffee shop. The workers knew we were waiting to order but didn't really acknowledge us. There was a person in line before us before who gave up on waiting and left. Someone locally said it's be better to order online so that's what we ended up doing. The drinks had a similar taste to those from a popular coffee chain, but with a bit more caffeine which I enjoyed. The acai tasted watered down, but I didn't have high expectations for this item since it's a coffee shop. Anyway, the experience was definitely a buzz. I suppose that's why life feels better when you're buzzed, rather than waiting around in line for too long while sober. read more

I'm a regular drive thru customer at this location and the staff here are very friendly and polite. It gets crazy busy at the drive thru and they always do their best as fast as they can to clear the traffic so everyone that's needs to be caffeinated gets their fix. We LOVE Giselle! My boyfriend and I met her in the drive thru and we initially started talking how I had the same Stanley as her. And I saw her EDC sticker and mentioned I was going in two weeks! And from there we started hitting it off immediately, what a breath of fresh air she is! Better Buzz you are extremely lucky to have her on your team! People like this make or break a team, and I can easily see she is probably the light and sparkle of this place. I totally want to be her friend IRL!!! Oh and we love the turkey pesto on a pretzel bun, thank you for the team for doing that every morning we come in (which is a lot lol). read more

I went to better bust again May 12th and again I enjoyed the delicious coffee I had the mocha de Mexico this time and I sat in the front looking at the Bonita traffic and cars and listening to the upbeat music on the great speakers beyoncé's a beat and you can't help but feel good so sitting there relax me and I enjoy the Bonita area the coffee had one shot of espresso which I requested regular milk the tea that I had last time I changed for oat milk and both delicious my other friend wasn't that impressed with the coffee but he does like the service and perhaps he needs to try something else but I love better buzz I used to go to the one in point Loma it's just a little far it's great that there's a better buzz here there's another coffee place that I used to go to that serves Mazapan coffee called the Blue Luna but it's no longer there from what I see so it's great to have a better buzzed I like the merchandise hanging in the front The umbrellas too read more

Good coffee, friendly service, delicious pastries, reasonable prices, small outdoor seating area, walk up and drive thru service. The location, the busy street, no available parking, and long drive thru line tends to be a turn off for me. There is a small parking lot, however it often a gets blocked by the drive thru's long line of cars. At times there is no where to park, making it difficult to place an order at the window. On many occasions I choose other coffee places due to the near impractical parking situation and drive thru line extending out onto the main road. Yeah, no thanks. Other than that, their drinks are good. I love their lattes and seasonal drink options here. If you haven't had Better Buzz Coffee, and you're thinking of trying it, I recommend a different location. read more

Great coffee shop with a lot of selection. I love that they have a drive thro because it's easy. Great service. They are open pretty late too for a coffee shop. Their drinks are delicious one of my favorites is the orange matcha or matcha with cold foam. I had the snickerdoodle latte and it was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. Been here twice, I had to come back for this blueberry pancake cold brew!! I like my coffee strong so i added an extra shot of espresso and that's all I needed to get it just right. I've also tried the avocado toast and a cheese danish. The avocado toast was a bit salty due to the bacon. It was a little hard to communicate with the employee to order but other than that, service was ok. First time at this coffee place bc the lines are always too long. Yesterday, I went around 2pm and no one answered in the drive-through & I drove to the window. The associate asked "I didn't wait to order" I was shocked she spoke to me like that. I proceeded to order a Horchata latte. The drink was so thick I asked for a new drink bc to me it was not edible. The associate was not nice and annoyed. In addition, she was putting her hands in the cup-not hygienic!!! Overall, I won't be coming back simply bc of the customer service. Every time I pass this place the line is extremely long so I thought I'd give it a try. I used the drive thru and if you're not a regular it can be confusing. But once I was in the right lane the service was fast. I ordered a mocha latte and they have food, non-coffee drinks and coffee drinks. It was good but, a little too sweet for my liking. I hate this location... I have given them way too many chances to be better since they opened here in Bonita. If you are picking up a drink, you are ignored for upward of 5 minutes before someone will even acknowledge your existence. The customer service as a whole is terrible. They will look right at you and not communicate that "someone will be there to help you soon". Or they will attempt to avoid making eye contact with you. It isn't one or two people. There are typically at least 4 or five people there. And most of the time at least two of them are standing around talking about their lives. There are a few who are polite, but as a whole their customer service is awful. I also have now tested the drive thru a couple of times and under each iteration it doesn't work. It creates opportunities for people to cut the line with their cars. The structure of the two lines merging in to one works because we see it at chick-fil-a work just fine for the most part. Here it really doesn't work. Smh. This is my last time. I'll be traveling to a different better buzz to get my coffee. Customer service goes so far and this place doesn't have it. ** reading through some of the other reviews it's clear that customer service is genuinely a big issue at this location. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Better Buzz. However, almost every time I go to this location, I feel scolded in one way or another. I can place my order online before leaving my house (around 18 mins away) and when I go to the call box, I am still scolded because the order is not ready and I "shouldn't" have gone in the drive thru if it is not ready. I don't understand how if someone orders on the spot, they have everything ready QUICKER than someone who ordered ahead 20 mins ago. I have also gotten down in the pickup area and one of the workers there is a little passive aggressive with his comments. I am torn because I love the products and it is on my way to work, however, I have come to feel uncomfortable whenever I go to this location. read more

Went up to the counter last night about 8:30pm. There was a little wait as it seemed like there was only one person working doing the counter and drive thru, no problem. I order my drink and ask for it decaf. Got my drink, it said decaf on the tag but guess what? It wasn't decaf because I was up until 5 am. This really has messed up my today because I slept a few hours and feel terrible. I love coffee for the taste and regularly get decaf in the evening, but now I can't trust this location. read more

This location gets pretty busy, but the staff are always so kind and the drinks are fairly consistent every time I go. I appreciate that they aren't stingy with their drink portions when you order light ice, they'll usually fill the entire cup up with the drink of choice unlike other coffee places.
