I didn't have the best first experience at the La Jolla location, so I was hesitant to try Better Buzz again. But I remembered how good the coffee was, so I decided to give the Bonita location a chance and I'm so glad I did! This location was awesome. Came here for the first time after my walk around Rohr Park. There is no inside seating just 2 tables outside. Order at the window or mobile order and drive thur. The wait to order and to get our drink was extremely long. We went about 8:30am Saturday morning. I'm a fan of Better Buzz but this one I would definitely pass on. The girl who took our order was nice but the man who was giving out the drinks was not so nice. How disappointing to pay $6.49 for an iced orange matcha and basically get a cup of milk on ice. Look at how pale this is. You guys really need to do better with quality control and delivering value considering the ever-increasing prices. It's just robbery otherwise. The cashier is on point with getting the orders correct consistently and I can tell English is not his first language. I was visiting family and saw they opened a Better Buzz down the street and had to grab breakfast & coffee on our way out. It was a Saturday so it was really busy, the drive through was out of the parking lot and down the street (expected for a weekend morning). We found parking, not in their lot but down the street. It was our first time so the nice girl at the counter recommended the most popular drinks and breakfast foods and nothing disappointed. The breakfast burrito & ham/cheese croissant was perfect. I got the ice hoechata latte and the hubs got the best coffee. For being so busy, the service was quick and we were offered water while we waited. I had the iced matcha latte with almond milk and it was different. It was a good and refreshing and slightly sweetened. Not sure what kind of matcha it is but still a tasty drink and I'd get it again. Almond milk was a dollar up-charge though. Also tried the açaí smoothie and it tasted like one I make at home. Worst customer service I ask for a hot drink and they gave me an ice drink so I request formally to change my drink and they refused because they were about to closed, they closed at 10:00 it was 9:20 like really ? Honestly, I go here everyday. A quick drink, because they have really good service. If it's just a mobile order or going through the drive through. I always go for the energy, and because the drinks are very customizable! To the holiday drinks, better buzz breakfast sandwiches , and the 3- seed Avacado toast. My order ALWAYS comes out amazing ! But most of all it's the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Cause girl(s), I just recently asked for the managers name ( ANTHONY ) he's always smiling. And that you can't beat when dealing in customer service while also managing the back bar and doing what needs to get done so his team is settled. That I understand from having previous experience. One time I forgot my blueberry muffin because usually I always just get an iced latte - OF ANY FLOVOR- And I was about to leave - still parked in my car- Anthony ran through to make sure I got it and knocked on my window. scared me but I was so happy and it genuinely made my day that they would go as far as to run out and make sure I had my order. Cause at big chain coffee shops it really doesn't matter if you forget it ( and always goes to waste ) OR I HAVE TO ASK FOR IT ! I always go in the morning before work, after a long night the food is GRUMPTIOUS! But most importantly The ambiance is down to the tea from the music outside the coffee shop, to always playing some good music inside behind the bar. Always smiling and making sure I get my order. Unfortunately this is one of the worst Better Buzz locations I've visited. I only go because it's the closest to where I live. Every time I come my drink is always made wrong and when I ask for it to be remade it's not any better. The milk will be incorrect, the flavored foams always taste like the regular one, and the staff always has an attitude with me at the window. I work at a Starbucks and prefer Better Buzz but at this point it's not very worth it to me anymore. read more

Ordered this morning and ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes past my pickup time. The guy at the window wasn't exactly on top of things -- instead of helping me, he was calling out names of people who weren't even there. When I asked again about my order, he asked for my name again. By the time I finally got my coffee, it was a disappointment. The quality was nowhere near what you'd expect (or pay for). Honestly, I could've made a better cup at home. It's sad when you spend money expecting decent service and flavor -- and get neither. Even Taco Bell makes a better-tasting coffee. I don't usually leave reviews, but this was frustrating enough to make an exception. My daughter placed an online order for a drink, a bowl, and a Blackberry Lavender Danish. I picked it up and was handed one drink. I had to point out there was more and show the order on my phone. Ricky brought out the bowl, handed me a sealed bag, and said nothing about the missing danish. Running out of an item happens. Not communicating it and letting a customer get all the way home only to find it missing? UNACCEPTABLE. I tried calling three times with no answer, so I drove back. The manager offered a replacement, but nothing comparable and all cheaper. No refund option in store, no refund option in the app, and no contact info. Even the manager couldn't figure out how to process one. To top it off, staff barely acknowledged customers waiting at the window during all of this. Poor communication, no accountability, and a second trip for their mistake. Add in the terrible ingress and egress, and this was just bad customer service all around. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Support a local neighborhood coffee shop that actually communicates and values your time. This one isn't worth it. Anyway, time for me to go on a scavenger hunt for a customer service email so I can maybe, hopefully, get our money back. read more

The only thing I'd love to see improved is the ordering experience. It can feel a bit slow at times, especially with the upselling throughout the process.
