1. Customer service: visited today for the first time. They have a "small side window for take-outs" which we tried using, to place a take-out order. A male cashier and the other staff were not welcoming and didnt open the side window to take our order, and when we went around and entered the cafe to place our order, they seemed puzzled and shared the puzzled look with each other. So happy to finally have Better Buzz in Carlsbad but the location is honestly difficult to get to unless you are walking the village. There is very limited parking in their lot and street parking is always hard to come by in the village. They did do a good job at converting Cessy's into having more space outdoors. Seems like the wait would be long but honestly the staff was pretty fast. I always mobile order ahead because iykyk. I still had to wait ~10 minutes past the time I was told but again not worse than other locations. My drink tasted exactly as expected and the coffee itself was perfect. Chai and Matcha lattes are very creamy and can be rather on the sweet side (which I personally like)! - Food: yummy but inconsistent. I've tried the Turkey Pesto a couple times, but the bread seems to change between a french bread and a sourdough. Not sure if that was a one-time change due to supply, but it was odd that the sandwiches used different ingredients and tasted different each time. - Space: one of its biggest perks! They keep their ordering/drink-making space separate from their seating, and the seating area has windows that swing up and expose the area, making it super breezy. Bring a jacket if you get cold!
