I went with the Best Drink Ever and it was the Worst Coffee Ever, I took the lid to cool it off and it was just coffee and creamer, didn't look creamy, it was wack, should have just ordered a latte. 5/5 for the drink but 2/5 for the service. The location is really great and the store is really beautiful! We loved the open concept of the front doors and the decoration inside. We have never been to a Better Buzz before so we were curious what the "best drink ever" was as they call it on their menu. The worker was so rude to us when we asked her this. She seemed so annoyed that we asked. The worker who was making the drinks also seemed angry at everything. They were both not happy to be there. What saved the day with this place was how good the drink was. We were really impressed with the quality of the coffee and the taste of the "best drink ever". The Better Breakfast sandwich-My husband orders this all the time but I've never tried it. That's unfortunate bc I finally ordered it and was amazed at all the flavor! The aioli and cheese made this a great choice with my Mexican mocha. Never disappointed by this place. It remains a favorite with friendly (not overly but at least they're not snotty) cashiers. (+) Matcha Latte Better Buzz Coffee is a coffee shop that have many locations within the San Diego area. They offer lattes, expressos, and açaí bowls/sandwiches. There are tables and a store front that is open to the cool San Diego breeze. They do have milk alternates as well. Drinks: I ordered the Matcha Latte with almond milk. I liked my drink because of the cool, and sweet flavor from the sweetener and matcha powder. The matcha is not overwhelming and offers great tea flavor. I would order this drink again. Overall, I would recommend Better Buzz Coffee for your tea and coffee needs. I appreciate the food options, along with other drink options besides those who don't drink coffee, or prefer something else. Usually I always order a black coffee and nothing else. I have a very sensitive palette when it comes to sweetness. However, this time I decided to try their specialty drinks because I heard from my partner that it is amazing here. I had the "Horchata Iced Latte." Let me tell you, I am so happy I did. It wasn't overbearing with sugar. It had a nice smooth flavor. It was perfect.  The service was like any other special coffee shop. Nice people, great service. We were in San Diego for a week for the Rock and Roll Marathon and hit up a different Better Buzz location almost every day. This one took the top spot though. The coffee was great at all of the locations but the open air style, and atmosphere at this location just seemed to make the coffee just taste that much better! Better buzz is one of my favorite coffee chains! We stumbled into this new location by the beach and it did not disappoint. The interior is spacious and open air. There's plenty of seating and they're dog friendly! We saw a special where they had coconut match and a chocolate coconut cold brew. We ordered both and they were delicious! Side note- the chocolate coconut cold brew is a bit sweeter than your average cold brew. The coconut matcha had a coconut cream in it that was delicious and made the drink feel very tropical. Again, also a bit sweet so if you're a fan of sweet drinks, this is for you. After we finished ordering, the barista was super friendly and offered us some banana bread! Wow. This coffee is hands down the BEST coffee I've ever had. This is coming from an AVID coffee drinker. They have so many options and unique flavors but every one that I've tried hasn't failed to completely impress me. Better Buzz in general is the best coffee shop in SD (way better than starbucks). This location in specific has the best hospitality ever! Everyone there was beyond nice and I had to leave a great tip for them. My toddler and I shared the feta avocado toast & ham & cheese croissant & both were perfectly warmed & fresh. I absolutely love when the toppings are loaded up on the avo toast. The younger brunette gal taking are order wasn't super friendly, she seemed pretty checked out lol, but the two baristas working with her were awesome! We will definitely be back next trip down here. Only con: the bathroom needs a deep cleaning. Such cute pink tile & finishes, but the floors were nasty... the same brunette worker used the restroom before me, so she obviously wasn't bothered by the condition of the restrooms... definitely something to prioritize. :) read more

La la LOVE Better Buzz. I am so glad my cousin told me about Better Buzz. She said there's one everywhere in San Diego area. She recommended the Hazelnut Divinity but I saw the Mint and had to get it. It tasted very similar to Philz coffee. I made my husband try the hazelnut but he got it hot instead of iced. It tasted very good but should have went less on the sugar. It was sweet but still very good. The decor was beautiful and I also loved that they offer still or sparking water for you to fill up yourself. It gets crowded but goes pretty quick. Every time I'm in the San Diego area, Better Buzz is going to be my place to visit. read more

I came here at 9 AM on a Saturday and there was a lot of street parking available. I parked a little farther down just in case there wasn't and had a nice walk! There's plenty of shops around the area but a lot weren't open that early. The cafe is very nice and the staff seemed nice as well. They made my drink super duper fast. It was done about a minute after I ordered it. I'm giving it three stars because I tried the Hazelnut Divinity, as I read on Yelp that the "best drink ever" is not the best drink and that the hazelnut divinity is better. I tried it and it tastes like hazelnut creamer. I don't think I'll be drinking it unfortunately. It was also $6 for a regular size. You can get half sweet but I didn't because coffees at other places are usually sweet enough for me or not sweet enough! read more

Cute location with a super airy, open space right on the main street. They have a good amount of seating but definitely seems more like a meet up place versus somewhere you could get work done. They have a bunch of food and bakery options as well as coffee, non-coffee and smoothie options. They also had some seasonal drinks. I got a hot "best drink ever" which is just an Americano with their vanilla powder. It's tasty and I would say is different than just a vanilla latte (it's less milky), but to say it's the best ever is quite a stretch! I absolutely love coming down to the La Jolla location. Crystal is always so friendly and the sandwiches just taste better when she's making them. The better breakfast is my favorite food item by far; a fresh runny egg, thick bacon, delicious crème fresh and mayo, arugula, tomato and I add avocado. 10/10 the atmosphere is always amazing and they manage to keep the store very clean with all the foot traffic they receive. The best coffe I've ever had. 6+ years working as a barista and it was fantastic. I would come here every day if I wasn't a tourist. The only downside was that the tables weren't clean so I had to clean them myself to sit at them. That's the only reason it's not a five star rating. read more
