Love coming to this Better Buzz location for the proximity to the beach and the awesome open concept shop. Parking can be difficult to find (depending on the time of day), but it's worth it for sure. The shop is open concept as I mentioned, with plenty of seating inside and on the patio. Great aesthetic here that makes it unique to other Better Buzz spots. The staff here is really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. We order something different each time we stop by. This time around we got the Best Drink Ever soft serve in a cone and a Best Drink Ever cold brew float. The soft serve had a great consistency and flavor. The cone was the perfect sweet treat, and the cold brew float was awesome as the soft serve melted, making the drink extra creamy. Great spot in La Jolla that's perfect to visit and grab something before heading down towards the water. read more

So loved the dirty chai latte with the two pumps of vanilla. Tried three pumps and it was so sweet. We are staying around the corner at Inn by the sea and we've visited twice during our weekend stay. My friends both are drinking flat whites and the first day we had pastries, a ham and cheese croissant and an almond croissant. Both were lip smacking good. The service at this place is upbeat and definitely adds to the vibe. You can sit outside and smell the ocean. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying in this area. The are fast so it can be in and out. read more

We're visiting San Diego and there are hundreds of coffee places here. We have had Better Buzz shamelessly three mornings in a row. The first location was a very janky vibe but the coffee was spectacular so we looked for the location on Prospect. AMAZING! Such a neat spot and FAST. This place definitely attracts people of all kinds but especially a younger crowd with the upbeat, hip-hop, music and aesthetic ambience. Staff is friendly and they seem to keep a tidy space. This cafe has fantastic coffee and even better service. VInce is INCREDIBLE! He actually starts my making my 'normal' drink as soon as he sees me walking across the street. Highly recommend this coffee shop situated in the heart of La Jolla. read more

Took some friends from NY. They loved the aesthetic of the shop. Very pretty decor that felt modern and somewhat homey at the same time. Staff was nice and service was fast even though it was busy with a lot of people ordering and sitting in the cafe. Good cafe for people to sit and do work on laptops. Peaceful and you can smell the ocean so close to us. Great location in the main strip of shops in La Jolla. Picked up coffees to walk around and look at tide pools and seals. Coffee was more affordable than expected for La Jolla. Coffee flavor was strong which was great. Vanilla caramel latte was more caramel than vanilla with caramel drizzle on the bottom and sides of the cup. Snazzy newish coffee shop on Prospect. Open air with decor that is bright, colorful (splashes of pink) with differing patterned wallpaper, flooring & countertops. Plenty of seating and this place was hopping when I stopped by for a coffee and bite for my stroll. Hazelnut Divinity. I love hazelnut lattes, so I was excited to give this drink a try. I decided to try the new menu item, Waffle Bites, after seeing the sign--it looked delicious. However, it took over 20 minutes and still didn't come out. Eventually, I had to ask about it, and they told me someone must have taken it by mistake. It finally arrived exactly 31 minutes after I placed my order, but the person handing it to me didn't even offer an apology. After such a long wait, this is what the Waffle Bites looked like. This place is totally worth the hype. The coffee here is so tasty and the aesthetic is perfect. It was a hot day and after walking around for majority of the day, I was craving a smoothie. I saw that the Pink Dragon smoothie on the menu and knew I had to get it. My friends ordered the Best Drink Ever, and for all you coffee lovers, that seriously might be in my top 3 iced coffees of all time. I had a sip and it had a strong but satisfying coffee flavor with notes of vanilla. As for the smoothie, it was very refreshing. Everything about it tasted natural and fresh. I got buzzed in La Jolla! Finally got to try this coffee shop after having it bookmarked for many years. The layout of this location looks very refreshing and cute. There was a long line but it moved quick and they make their drinks fast. I got the horchata iced latte, which was one of their popular drinks. The latte wasn't too sweet and still strong in coffee flavor. The horchata did not overpower the coffee. Definitely will be back to try other drinks! read more

I loved this fun beachy coffee spot! I came here twice while visiting because my hotel was nearby. I personally don't drink coffee, but I tried both of their tea lattes and they were really good! I've always loved Better Buzz and tried the La Jolla location for the first time! Parking seems pretty bad when you drive right in front of it but if you drive down to the coast two blocks over or go into the neighborhood, I always seem to find a spot pretty quickly even on a Saturday morning. This applies to trying to go anywhere near La Jolla Shores. There's some seating but recommend getting your coffee and walking down to the water! You can see some sea lions if you walk two blocks down from the cafe. I always get the Lavender Tea Latte and it tastes the same no matter which location I go to, so I love how consistent it tastes! The banana bread with chocolate chip is soooo good, definitely satisfied my hunger in the morning. The employee who served me the chocolate chip banana bread gave me an extra bit of another slice and that was so sweet! Better Buzz employees are always energetic and kind, no matter which location I go to (in my experience). Also when I was walking from the cafe I saw two dogs on a car so that was a cherry on top. read more

For my drink, I got the Love smoothie (almond milk, coconut water, banana, kale, almond butter, date, and spirulina). It was hydrating and filling. I could even have it as a breakfast meal. The cafe is on the penthouse floor, at the top of the building. People are doing yoga outside of the cafe. What a great place to do yoga and get something healthy to eat and drink!

Liz, my barista, was so awesome; she was the one who helped my friend and me when we came. The environment here is so relaxing and fun. They have a good amount of seating, and it's an open area, so everything's open to the beautiful weather of sunny San Diego while also offering roof coverage and outdoor areas. The line to order is always long and I know that's not their fault but it's ridiculous. There's only one person making drinks while the manager just sits in the corner and does nothing to help them. Not just that but she's very rude and dismissive to the baristas.
