I was in the Miramar area on May 2 and decided to go to Better Buzz coffee to get a bag of ground decaf coffee, I really like their coffee and pick up some when I'm in town. When I got back to northern Calif and went to make me a cup of coffee I notice that the Best Buy date was 3-25. That is over a month past and you're still selling it. I guess I need to start looking at the dates on packaged coffee beans. If I was still in town I would have taken it back. I went here on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends and had a great experience. I went inside and there wasn't a very long wait. The barista at the register was friendly and knowledgeable about the products. He was able to give us suggestions that everyone liked. I ordered the pride bread, strawberry scone and a Best Drink Ever. Pride bread- the pride bread was super sweet and sugary. It might be a bit much for people but I like sugary pastries. It was pretty to look at and the raspberry filling was super pronounced. Unfortunately, the raspberry filling was somewhat artificial tasting. I probably wouldn't order it again but I am happy to see some of the proceeds are donated to Hillcrest Youth center. Strawberry almond scone- The scone was delicious. It wasn't super sweet and was pleasant to drink with my coffee. The bread was quite fluffy inside and it was heated up before being served. The almonds inside give it a better texture. Always a must when I'm in San Diego! This location is so cute and has a good amount of seating, and also have a restroom on the side. Tried the Honey Latte and loved it, not too sweet which is my preference but you can always add more sweetener! My sister got the Cinnamon Cold Brew which I liked a lot as well, especially the cream top. I love that had ice water on tap, my parents aren't coffee drinkers so I was happy they could at least have nice cold water. First time here. There's a drive in and a bunch of people were sitting outside in the parking lot. I went in and was the only customer inside when I ordered at 3:30 pm on a weekend. It's super modern in design - but Miramar Road is not the most atmospheric, so I was happy to order mine to take home! Sophie and McKenna were very helpful - I explained that I like Central American and Caribbean coffees & not Indonesian/African. McKenna talked me through a few options (the El Salvador sounded like a possibility - she said it had orange peel and dark chocolate notes), but I decided to sip the cold brew first to see what I thought. They also have a nitro cold brew but I started with the regular. First sip of the regular cold brew: delicious! I forgot even to ask what the beans were, but it was perfect. Not muddy tasting LOL. Went in on a weekend hoping to get some work done. Dirty tables everywhere filled with splattered coffee and pastry crumbs. Wiped it down while waiting for my drink, which was the "Best Drink Ever". While I was waiting for my drink, I tried connecting to the wifi, which couldn't work. I asked the worker there if the password written on the chalkboard was correct and he said, "Yes but sometimes it goes in and out. Denny's should be strong enough to connect here though". I went back to my laptop, and found that Denny's wifi required a password. Then my drink was ready and decided to head straight back home since I couldn't get any luck with the wifi. When I got back, I took a sip of the drink and found that it was extremely watered down. There was not a hint of sweetness. It tasted like 10% brewed coffee mixed with 80% water, mixed with 10% milk powder. It was disgusting and the worst drink I've ever had. Was not worth the $6.50 I paid for, including tips! Do not come to this location. You're better off going to the Starbucks one block away. read more

The breakfast is very delicious also. The avocado toast is delectable and one of my favorites. The buttery breakfast croissant melts in your mouth. I've visited this spot many times in the drive thru but I thought I'd write a review for my first dine in experience here! Service: I ordered at the front counter and the cashier was very nice & friendly! I always appreciate enthusiastic service :) I also noticed employees sanitizing tables that I wasn't sitting at (good w covid guidelines). Drink: I ordered my go-to hazelnut divinity with oat milk! It's the perfect sweet way to energize halfway thru the day. Drink came out very fast too. Ambience: Location is very cute and brightly lit with windows all around. There is nice decor and some plants that make it a very comfortable atmosphere. I will note that the music was a little loud so if you want to get some serious studying done, maybe sit outside but the noise was ok for me and I could still hear the audio from my airpods just fine. The wifi didn't connect for me so I was using my personal hotspot :/ Overall, I would highly recommend better buzz! I always take any friends visiting in town here because it's an SD chain and I really like some of their drinks like the BDE, matcha latte (I also add lavender it's the besttttt), and any of their frappe buzzes! read more

Not my typical stop on the way to work but the other coffee was closed. I came at a good time before the drive thru line got incredibly long. There was a person outside taking our orders to help reduce the traffic from overflowing into the road. They also take your payment when you order. Then you are directed to a parking spot number to wait. They will deliver your drink to your car. It was awesome! First time experiencing that getting coffee. It wasn't that long of a wait compared to other morning coffee runs. I only had one single order so that also helped. Overall I really liked their matcha latte with almost milk.
