Better buzz has some really awesome drinks, my fav being the coconut buzz! This location is very small, barely any inside seating, and a tiny amount of outdoor seating. They are located pretty deep into Miramar, slightly inconvenient. The drive through is usually so packed that they take your order and payment but make you drive and park at one of their stalls while you wait for your drink because it is so packed. Very little parking actually allowed for this business, most spaces reserved for the other businesses. Staff have been mostly friendly during my interactions, a few times had to wait quite some time to have someone available to take my order at the counter inside. They sell bagged coffee (you have to ask for the free drink or they won't give you one when buying bagged coffee). They also now sell kcups! I placed an order for pick up and was supposed to be done by the time I got there. I ordered a large vanilla Caramel latter extra hot and 1/2 sweet and a large caramel latte with oat milk extra hot and 1/2 sweet . I waited inside for at least 20 minutes for the 2 drinks. I ordered the lavender iced blended coffee which is my usual go to at any Better Buzz and received the iced coffee instead but it still was good! I also ordered the chocolate chip banana bread which never fails me. And for my little maltipoo puppy, Gigi, I ordered a pup cup which consists of whip cream and a milk bone biscuit cookie treat. Staff, service and cleanliness of this location was good. There are ample reserved parking spaces for Butter Buzz customers only which was great! This BB location is the closest to my house in Carmel Mtn Ranch and my favorite thing about this location is that there's a drive-thru! I didn't go through the drive-thru since this was my first time at this location and wanted to get the vibe of the store itself but surely will next time. Love love love this place! So glad that Better Buzz is now in my part of town and a couple miles from my house. When I crave Better Buzz, I get a Best Drink Ever (large/decaf/EZ ice). The best way to get your buzz is to order online. You get to customize your order any which way you like and there are a lot of options! The drive thru gets so busy especially in the mornings so you will definitely thank me for preordering. Preorders usually take about 15 mins and you can park in the designated spots out front and go inside to get your drinks. There have been times however they have messed up our orders or have taken a long time, but that won't keep me from my drink! We usually get our fave drinks once a week to get our fix. I've gotten Better Buzz once before, but this was my first time actually sitting inside at this location! The place was a little small but a very nice ambience inside, good for studying or working if you can get a spot. The "Best Coffee Ever" was actually really good, I'm not usually a fan of super sweet coffee and I felt they did a good balance on mine, though I've heard from other people that this varies depending on who makes the drinks that day. The matcha was also decent, it definitely wouldn't be my first choice and I'd recommend the coffee over it (or picking out a specific tea/boba place that focuses on matcha). The team was fast and efficient with ordering and making our drinks, and I know their drive through option is also rather quick too. I was introduced to Better Buzz by a friend from SD and have been obsessed since. My go-to drink is a Hazelnut Divinity with almond milk (either hot or iced -- both are so yummy). I've also gotten a Mexican Hot Chocolate with almond milk and love that as well. There are a few locations on the western part of SD county closer to the coastal areas and I have been to a few locations, only for takeout during all of COVID. COVID Safety: All staff wear masks and it has been consistent every time I go get my drink at the drive-thru. Parking: It's located in a mini plaza so parking is shared with other stores. They have designated 'wait areas' for cars coming from their drive-thru so they take your oder and you pay at the drive-thru window, then park at one of these spots and staff will take your order to your car. read more

This is my first time at this Better Buzz location and it is much smaller than the locations in Hillcrest, Point Loma, and La Jolla. I ordered ahead and redeemed my birthday reward (free regular drink) and also ordered my breakfast favorite, the Bacon Ciabatta. I was hoping to enjoy my breakfast in-store, but despite a couple of open tables, it was too awkward for me to eat at a table where 4 people sitting right outside along the window, facing in, can watch your every bite and phone activity, Lol. With that said, my drink and food were ready on time and the barista was nice and friendly. I ended up eating in the privacy of my car. The Bacon Ciabatta was prepared perfectly and again, is a top favorite of mine. Better Buzz Miramar is really cute - decor, vibe, and all - but the limited seating layout is too intimate and weird. Was visiting SD and have heard about Better Buzz via social media for years. I know this is a newer location and was in a rush, so opted for the drive through. The worker standing outside was nice but not super helpful in recommending me options as a first timer. I went with the iced vanilla bean latte and a matcha latte with oat milk for my sister. Honestly the latte was good but not amazing. Solid coffee flavor and not too sweet, not too bitter. I didn't like that I ordered light ice on just this one but both drinks came out with the exact same amount of ice (3/4 of the cup full) even after asking the worker explicitly abt their usual amt of ice they give. The matcha was reminiscent of a starbucks matcha latte, potentially worse but didn't expect much I guess. You order and pay with a person at the drive through, and pull up to a window just to get straws if you want and then park in a designated # they tell you where you wait for your order, which is different. read more

Let me just say.... I love Better Buzz! Just as much as Starbucks. But Better Buzz I feel is way better since more exclusive! & there's not many around so I don't drink it as often as Starbies. I've been to this particular location a few different times before going into work. & typically I'll order for my coworkers as well. I've never really been inside the store itself. Usually go thru the drive thru since I want to be in & out. The many times I've visited this location, the drive thru wait time is ridiculously longggggggg. I mean I understand they're backed up, there's many ppl ordering, it's early morning, they're tryna fill orders as fast as they're ringing them up. But each time I've ordered it's like 20mins+. Who has that amount of time to wait especially if you're making a quick pit stop before work. They usually tell me to pull into a parking spot to wait for my items. There's usually a FEW cars waiting in the stalls already. Be prepared to turn off your vehicle. Lol. The food & drinks itself is top tier. One time I went through the drive-thru and the barista accidentally made an extra drink and kindly offered it to me free of charge. Another time I ordered a regular and they kindly upgraded my drink to a large. Surprisingly my favorite drink is not The Best Coffee Ever, it's actually a tie between the Snickerdoodle Latte with oat milk (half sweet) or iced Hazelnut Divinity Latte (half sweet because this drink is super sweet). I also really enjoy the iced White Chocolate Latte (half sweet). This location also offers a handful of pastries -- I'd recommend the pistachio croissant!!! EVERYTHING = 5/5. Prior to this visit, I have only had their coffees, lattes, and açaí bowls. This time, I ordered the caprese sandwich and the orange-infused matcha latte. I don't use this word lightly, but I am OBSESSED with these two menu items! The matcha drink isn't too overpowering and somewhat bitter like traditional matcha and the hint of orange is just enough! It's one of the best drinks I've had in awhile! My only complaint is that the drink isn't big enough since I wanted more. The size of the drink is comparable to a "tall" at Starbucks. The caprese sandwich is toasted on a ciabatta bread and just the right amount of toasting. The mozzarella is melted and gooey on the inside. The tomato is still intact and the arugula and aioli are great compliments to this sandwich! The sandwich is also pretty thick so they don't cheap out on portions either. Why order a vanilla latte when there's a vanilla bean latte?! It didn't taste like vanilla syrup in a latte. Vanilla bean flavoring wasn't prominent, just enhances the latte a bit. You know, I am a fan of the Better Buzz and what they have accomplished over the years, but the I have to be honest, the Grilled Chicken Pesto was not their best item I have had. In fact, I strongly believe it could be much better. However, the black unsweetened iced tea I had with the sandwich was quite good. The sandwich came with turkey, Mozzarella, and a spread of pesto aioli. I added bacon for an up charge. The grill the sourdough which is very nice. My problem was that sandwich as a whole was flat and boring. The best thing was grilled and crusty sourdough bread. The quantity of the turkey was minimal and it was a little on the dry side. The Mozzarella was good, and I was very happy that I added the bacon because it was the most tasty item in the sandwich. What really disappointed me was the aioli pesto. The sandwich barely had any on it, and of what it did had, it's flavor was quite mute. As a result, It did not feel as if any pesto was involved. They need to up the game. They need to put a pesto spread that offers that herbaceous pesto flavor that it's so famous for. Also add more turkey to offer a nice visual cross section, and perhaps include some greens and a little tomato slice. That would really liven the sandwich up; but most important of all, if the word "pesto" is in the in the title, you better make sure you can not only see that pesto, but taste it as well! I stop by this place because I love the signage outside when I was driving by. Starbucks is on stripes and I don't want to cross no picket lines. I absolutely love the vibe inside the servers are so sweet and have a great energy about them. The gold and turquoise coloring is very cute with all the honeycomb. But, I was not impressed with the "patio pick-up" customer service. UGH! So being this place is always busy, I figured I'd order ahead of time, online. Apparently not the best idea this day. Shocking because I placed my order at 7:05, told me it'd be ready around 7:20. Got there it wasn't ready...Waited there for almost 20 mins. I didn't get my drink until 7:35ish. Better Buzz was the "cool" coffee place by the beach when I was in high school and ever since it's been popping up over the county, I decided to give it another try. TL;DR, it's basically like a more expensive San Diego version of Dutch Bros. My main gripes are that the drive-thru-menu is excessively high up and I couldn't see it from the passenger seat. I didn't want to make the line slower by pulling up the menu on my phone, so I just defaulted for a Best Drink Ever. My bf got the blended white chocolate mocha. The drinks themselves were not great- I couldn't taste any of the add-ons in the BDE and the coffee was very weak and watery. I know blended drinks are usually for the demographic that doesn't drink coffee, but the white chocolate mocha tasted like too much syrup/powder blitzed with some ice. read more

The place is very expensive. I ordered an iced mocha and the bacon ciabatta breakfast sandwich, and it cost $15.68. I was offered two drink sizes, and chose the smaller one. The mocha was too sweet. I wasn't asked for a desired sweetness level, so it's their default. The sandwich was tasty, but for $8.49, it should have been bigger than it was. Weird experience with the staff. I used the drive through. A dyed blonde white girl took my order by the menu outside. When I got to the window, I grabbed my phone for Apple Pay. The girl there had a confused look on her face. She then said "oh, it said you were paying with cash." No one asked me how I was going to pay, so how did that come about? Did fake Goldilocks assume that because I'm black I could only pay with cash? Given the reaction of the employee at the pick up window, that's the only thing that makes sense. read more

I love the better breakfast sandwich from better buzz but every time I order from this location it is wrong. I always sub for the croissant since it's so yummy. First time, they did not include all the ingredients but it was still okay. Next time, the croissant was burned and it did not come with the arugula. Today I decided to try it again because maybe it was just an off day the previous times, but I also decided to add avocado. When received the sandwich only had egg and cheese, no arugula, no bacon, no avocado which I paid extra for. At least the croissant wasn't burned though. Drinks are yummy here. That's why I love coming back. I'd love to give them 5 stars, but customer service and wait time have been a constant issue. Service is friendly about 25% of the time. Sometimes they just hand me the drink without saying anything. No "hi", "thank you", or "have a good day". Maybe I'm being picky, but (good) customer service involves acknowledging your customers right? Also, I usually I have to park and wait for my drinks because they're not ready at the drive thru window. It's not a problem if it happens every now then, but a majority of the time I'm here (I'm not here that often), I've had to wait. I'm so happy a Better Buzz opened up closer to me! All of their other locations were out of the way for me so it was always a once-in-a-while treat to get their coffee. Pick up was easy - you order through the website and they will tell you when your order is ready on your phone. You go up to the pick-up area and tell them your name and voila! Today I ordered their iced snickerdoodle latte, banana bread and ham cheese croissant sandwich. Coffee was great as always, banana bread was thick and moist, and the sandwich was warm while having that buttery flaky goodness. I do wish they put less ice in my drink. I asked for "ez ice" when customizing my drink and I was still left with a little over 1/3 of my cup filled with ice. Maybe next time I'll ask for no ice? I also ordered the banana chocolate chip bread but they gave me banana nut instead. I should've checked before I went home, but it was good nonetheless. I'm so excited for a Better Buzz to open closer to the Mira Mesa area! After being in quarantine for so long, I really missed coffee from the outside world. After seeing online that this location finally opened, I had to make a visit. I believe the inside of the store is not open yet to the public, so they're just doing drive through. But when I placed my order, they had two people taking orders and this helped move the line pretty quickly. I placed my order with the guy in the drive through line and he was so nice!
