I've been here multiple times but never to sit inside and enjoy my açaí bowl. This particular morning I decided to come in and enjoy my açaí bowl inside. The service was fast but the staff always seems overwhelmed and you can feel it . My açaí bowl is always good. Butttt I have never seen a more gross seating area than this place. There was literally people's hair on every table. I had to get a napkin just to wipe down the area I was sitting. I get that they're pretty busy but having a clean seating area isn't hard to keep up, especially in such a small place like this location. Defiantly will be my last time eating inside. read more

I visited this store on a rainy day, and it was just ok- the drinks are pretty well made, but they are really expensive and take too long for what they are. I ordered the Hazelnut Divinity, and it was pretty yummy! I could taste the hazelnut flavor, but the coffee personally was not strong enough for my taste. It was also almost $7. I think I waited around 25 minutes for my drink to be made - there weren't that many people in-store, but I think there may have been a lot of online/drive through orders. The ceiling was also leaking on this day, so customers were walking while looking up, trying to dodge the water that was coming down through the roof. This was an interesting experience that is maybe location-specific, but I would probably prefer some other coffee shops in the area. read more

I'm really bummed cause I used to love this location. I went today and ordered two bde drinks, a regular black coffee and a sandwich-- what utter failure. First it took almost an hour to get our orders in to receiving it. No coffee shop should take this long to get this done. Additionally, my sandwich was dry and our coffee was not sweet at all... except for the regular black coffee of course. The best drinks tasted like coffee with a splash of creamer. WTF?! How does this happen?! Were everyone working today new hires?? So disappointing to spend almost $30 for items that weren't done right and not enjoyable. Never coming back to this location. read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Better Buzz! The customer service was genuinely amazing--super friendly, welcoming, and attentive without feeling overbearing. Rmie was able to help me pick out a new drink and she was lovely. You can tell the staff really cares about what they do and about their customers. On top of that, the coffee was so good--smooth, flavorful, and made perfectly. It's one of those places where you can taste the quality in every sip. As a first time customer at Better Buzz Coffee Miramar, I think there are a few things this Better Buzz could get Better At. I ordered a Turkey Pesto sandwich. When I received my sandwich, it had only Turkey and cheese, pesto was nowhere to be found. This made the sandwich then very bland and boring. Enjoyed not having to wait in any drive thru line, as we came around 5:30 AM. My candy cane drink was pretty good though. In the future, I don't think I will be returning here as $10 for a "Turkey Pesto" served as a turkey and cheese sandwich is underwhelming and seems like false advertising. read more

When heading to UTC, this is my go to spot for drinks and acai bowls! Conveniently located off Miramar Road, their staff are fast and diligent. The place is clean with a good amount of parking and comfy dining area My choices are always tasty and fresh. I'll be back soon. read more

We've been here once a while ago early in the morning and haven't been back since because we don't drive through Miramar much anymore. Guess what brought us back? Their hours! I think this is one of the few coffee shops open after 4:00pm (besides Starbucks), for crazies like us. The coffee is good, and the interior is cute. I've never tried the drive thru because it was busy and confusing in the past, but hopefully they've made it better since. Outside seating is ok, but there was shade after 4pm which is a plus. Indoor seating is mostly booth and communal tables, which were taken up by individuals using their laptops so it's limited. Now I just found out they have another location on Mira Mesa! I'll be checking that out soon too since I do go to the Target and the playgrounds over there often. Yay! read more

The Best Drink Ever tastes like someone blended happiness, caffeine, and a supportive hug. Came here based on a recommendation to try out a drink called "BEST DRINK EVER" which is a classic americano with a signature creamy vanilla. I opted for the large size which made it a triple shot! OK, definitely got a nice jolt of caffeine energy from the large drink, but I might try the "half sweet" option next time to make it a little less sweeter! The AC inside is blasting so definitely bring a jacket/sweater if you are sitting indoors. There is very limited seating both indoor and outdoor, so don't be surprised if there are no seats available. They have a drive thru option also, which makes it convenient. Came in for a few hours to do some work and grab a coffee. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but the barista helped me decide on the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew which was really great. I was looking for a drink that wasn't too sweet and this one was perfect. This location isn't too big, but has a few tables inside and out to sit at. There is Better Buzz merchandise and coffee for sale in the front of the store as well. After trying this place, their coffee, and the overall vibes of the store (I love the branding and the music they were playing the day I was there) I'm really sad they only have locations towards the SD area and I don't go out there too often. I'll definitely want to stop here whenever I visit SD next. Please open up some locations in OC & LA!! read more

Favorite better buzz location. I've been to several. There's one closer to my place, but I rarely go. This better buzz though, I'm basically here every day before work. I usually come here before work and never had an issue, but today was horrible. I was told to park at #1, and cars that pulled in after me all got their orders first. I only ordered two simple drinks, kept asking politely, and was brushed off with "soon" while everyone else was served. When my order finally came out, it was wrong--not once, but twice. I've noticed a lot of cafes close crazy early, so my friends and I came to Better Buzz to study after trying two other spots. I ordered tea so I can't speak for the coffee but I am definitely not going to come back here to study. Better Buzz Coffee is a very well branded coffee chain, and this store has a shelving display dedicated to selling merch. The store is pretty small, and there are only about four tables. The main issues I had as I tried to study were the loud music and bad wifi. I could hear the music even over my headphones. I was trying to watch a video, and it paused every 5 minutes. It was really a inefficient situation. Their pastries looked quite good, but I was full from my earlier meal and didn't get one. I just got an iced tea and it was nothing to write home about, very bitter. I don't really make a big deal about service, but when I let the person at the register know they were out of toilet paper, I got a snappy reply. There are many better cafe drinks and study spots in San Diego, so this is a one and done for me. read more

Went to get something to eat to wait out my car getting fixed nearby. I figured I had tried Starbucks enough so I would try something different. This was the closest option available. The interior space is tiny. Actually was so small that it triggered my slight claustrophobia while I sat down to eat my avocado toast, which was actually pretty good if a little plain, and acai smoothie (which tasted... interesting). I think acai is probably best in a bowl mixed with other fruit and granola. I should probably order the bowl next time. The interior space was also very loud, with the cacophonous mixture of the drink blenders, employees shouting, customer conversations, and the blaring music over the PA system. I don't know how the guy sitting next to me was able to do his work/studying on his laptop with all that noise. read more

A solid addition to the Miramar area! As with their other locations , this Better Buzz has a hip interior + exterior design with memorable branding: "life is better buzzed." It wasn't crowded on a weekday afternoon. My friend and I were both flatlining into a post lunch food coma so coffee sounded fantastic. I typically opt for a "best iced drink ever" but went for hazelnut today. It was as expected -- quite sweet. Perhaps that's on me for not asking, or maybe I should've gotten an unsweetened drink altogether. Pricing was okay ($5-$7/drink). Service was prompt. Seating area was clean and featured good music. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I used to previously work at this location. back in 2020, but the service and drinks were so disgusting went I went in on 12/10/24. First, when I walked in the barista looked as if they were just in a rush to make everything. It just seemed a little bit too chaotic for a coffee setting. Also, I have ordered a hazelnut divinity with a cinnamon cold foam that was supposed to have caramel in it, and it definitely did not taste like it had caramel in it. And the drink was just flat overall and it tasted a little bit like lead awkwardly... I had placed an order for an almond croissant and asked for it to be heated up, but the person at the register just handed it to me and walked away, and I had to wait for them to come back to request for my croissant to be warmed up again. Lastly, when the rest of the drinks are ordered came out the Barista didn't think to put everything into a cupholder and offer stickers so instead I had to ask for it. I just personally feel like customer service has went downhill at this location and the quality of drinks went downhill as well. I'll continue to go to the Carlsbad, OC or Escondido location. read more

This place sucks! Waiting period for food just for an Avocado toast take 10min. Meanwhile you have 4 employees not doing anything just yapping and place has no one other than 2 customer drinking coffee. I would never pay for an Avocado toast more than $10 when customer service sucks. Better buzz used to have good food focused on customer service they got bigger and these things just get neglected.
