Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee shops (but Dutch Bros. is #1 in my book...we need one in SD). The "Best Drink Ever" is my go-to hands down! Hot or iced, it's delish either way (I like it with a little extra vanilla powder...you can thank me later). I use to go to Fashion Valley mall just to get my fix, then Hillcrest (but parking is non-existent) and PB...but now that Mira Mesa and Miramar have Better Buzz in the 'hood we have more opportunities to get our BB fix! I have only been to this location 3 times, my orders have been good, however each visit the customer service was lacking...which is why I deducted a star. All in all I do recommend Better Buzz over Starbucks for sure! read more

A small space, the banana chocolate chip bread is phenomenal and my iced matcha latte was on the sweet side despite not having asked for any sweeteners. The few tables were all dirty, covered in crumbs. We stop by Better Buzz fairly regularly and it's always consistently good. The coffee and food is solid and everyone that works there is always pleasant. The store is clean and well managed. I don't leave reviews all that often, but today we were super impressed with the service and I just wanted to leave some positive feedback. We went through the drive through and were assisted by Juan Pablo. He was very friendly and helpful. My partner was looking for a new coffee to try and he gave him a great recommendation. (Blended coconut) Then he asked for a name for the order. My partner has a name that is uncommon in English, so usually people misspell it or don't understand what his name is. He always has to repeat it two or three times before inevitably having to shorten it to make it easier. But not in this instance. Juan Pablo understood it and we were pleased to see spelled it correctly when we pulled up to pick up our order. My friend and I got our morning fix: Coconut Latte with oat milk and almond croissants. The drive thru was quick and efficient, the drinks perfectly sweetened, and the croissants soft and flaky. I definitely recommend swinging by here to get your daily dose of caffeine! This particular location is rather small and only have a few stools outside. If you're looking for a coffee house where you can lounge around, this isn't the place for you. There's a much much larger Better Buzz in La Jolla. This place is good for grab and go, or drive thru. Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee shops in SD with The Best Drink Ever being my my go to drink. The only issue with all their locations is that they are always super packed with long lines in the the drive thrus and a long wait when you step inside. This can be avoided by ordering your drink through their app... But beware there are some locations that are in the same area and make sure you are choosing the right location! Speaking from first hand experience, I had to drive to another location because I inadvertently chose the wrong one! LOL! For this location, I was in the area and of course I had to grab a coffee to start my day. Like many of the Better Buzz locations, the decor is modern with the incorporation of the bee hive design. Surprisingly, this place was not busy... Yet. We were able to place our order quickly and we got our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the acai bowl with almond butter and I had the Horchata Cold Brew. The acai bowl had a generous helping of fruit toppings and almond butter. This was filling in an of itself and it is good enough for breakfast or lunch. I did note that they had some new items such as Elote Avo toast. Maybe next time I will try. The nitro brew was strong with a generous helping of fluffy cold foam that had a nice hint of Horchata. Cashier was friendly, coffee is fresh, and food was great. Definitely a gem in a sea of furniture stores in Miramar. read more

Date of visit: February 21, 2022 There's going to be a Better Buzz Coffee branch opening up this year in my neighborhood of Mira Mesa - and several of my friends had raved about a drink on the menu called the Best Drink Ever. Seeing how the last time I'd been to Better Buzz was several years ago (where I ordered a holiday drink that had notes of honey in it), I figured that I'd take some time for myself and head out to the Miramar location to see what the "buzz" was about. I ordered a large iced BDE and an almond croissant (which was labeled on the shelf as a bear claw... even though it didn't look like it). For those of you wondering what's inside the Best Drink Ever/BDE, picture an Americano with a ton of Better Buzz's vanilla powder. Does it make for the best drink ever? Well, I thought it needed a bit more sweetness, but the caffeine in it sure kept me buzzing the rest of the afternoon. As for the almond croissant - to be honest, I've had better. While the filling was delicious, I felt it needed more almond paste and less flaky dough. As this location was a former Winchell's Donuts, it is on the small side; seating is at a premium indoors and out. I was lucky enough to snag an indoor table and enjoy my coffee and snack while grooving on the classic and modern hip-hop and R&B tunes playing inside. I also noticed that parking is at a premium at this location, but seeing how I parked behind the strip mall, I didn't have too much of a problem. The drink menu does look pretty inviting, so I'll keep this local chain's Miramar location in mind if I'm in the area... at least, until the Mira Mesa location opens up. read more

I like coming here only thing I wish the sitting areA would be more inviting and comfy. The coffee is strong with great flavor and taste hot like Starbucks which is watered down. today, for the first time at this location, we had a really rude employee take our order. i won't post the video i took bc the manager, i think it was, took care of us when we got out of our car to talk to him about what happened.. but she first would rudely say "WHAT?!" she then handed one drink to my fiance, my fiance asked for straws and a cup holder (since we ordered 3 drinks) , she snatched the cup out of my fiancés hand, we were surprised it didn't spill. she kept slamming the drive thru window shut on us.. she handed us our last items, my fiance told her to have a better day bc what she did was rude and she once again, "WHAT?!" and after she heard what was said, she said "yeah, okay" and slammed the window again. that's when we went inside and the manager was super nice to us and said he'd speak to her. don't let any employee treat you less than, you do not deserve their anger for their bad day or whatever. mad props to the manager for calming my fiance down bc it was all uncalled for. we aren't mean people so it really bothered us. read more

3.5 stars. Went here to do some work and enjoy a sandwich while my car was being serviced. I had a bacon and egg ciabatta sandwich which was quite good (the bread was amazing but nearly $11 for a sandwich is a little wild). The WiFi was shotty and kept cutting out. Restroom was clean, water was good, and the staff was kind. I wouldn't go here in person, just stick with the drive thru. Like I said, the wifi was the most frustrating part, but if you're just going for some coffee and food, shouldn't be too bad. read more

I love Mexican hot chocolate, and whenever I am in San Diego I go to Better Buzz coffee locations. I always order a large Mocha de Mexico with oat milk. This location is not 2 stories like their flagship location in Hillcrest, but this place has drive-thru service. I read a previous review regarding their service and their coffee. I frequent Starbucks, and I don't understand how someone can compare Better Buzz to Starbucks. It's like comparing apples with oranges. A previous review stated that they had to wait a long time for their order, but they could have ordered ahead for pickup? You would think that I worked for Better Buzz based upon this review, but I'm just like everyone else that relies on Yelp's reviews. I happen to love Better Buzz's Mocha de Mexico, and the customer service that I have received at the two locations that I have been to. read more
