I LOVE BEVERLIZ! I come here for lunch almost everyday and they have delicious specials that add to their giant menu that I never get tired of. I can go on and on about this place but I would have to say that my favorite aspect of this charming little cafe would be that I can come here for lunch and feel like I am taking a vacation from my hectic job for 45min, then its back to the real world.. Anna (the owner) is so kind and accommodating, shes kind of the life of the party there. She makes for such a friendly and family-like atmosphere with the lunch regulars that come in everyday with me. I read the other negative comments about their "poor costumer service" but honestly that is just because they have so many orders that it is hard to cater to every single person the proper way. Take this from an everyday costumer who sees their everyday demand. Here's the Key People : Order 15-20 min in advance so that you don't have to wait when you get there! That's what I do to avoid the long wait. They are more then happy to take you order early so you don't have to wait and run out of time on your lunch break. Also, there is a reason why they are also busy, because so many people love the food and the atmosphere, unlike other snobby restaurants on South Beverly drive. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, which I love to eat at all hours. My favorite breakfast meal is multigrain or whole wheat chocolate chip pancakes (with dark chocolate chips, of course, so much healthier and tastier), with a sliced up banana on top and whipped cream on the side (so it doesn't melt on top of the steaming hot off-the-griddle pancakes). Ever on the hunt for places that serve this favorite meal of mine all day, I stumbled on Beverliz and found the nugget of gold in the big sieve that is Beverly Hills. Not only do they make the best chocolate chip pancakes in a 10-mile radius, but the cappuccino I always love to get as accompaniment is absolutely exquisite, delicious with a fantastic coffee flavor in addition to having oodles of scrumptious frothy foam. I am embarrassed to say that I am so madly in love with this menu selection that I have never even been tempted to try anything else on the menu in all the many times I've visited Beverliz, but I have been with several friends, none of whom have gotten the pancakes, all of whom have ordered varying things. We have all unanimously been glassy-eyed about the deliciousness of each and every selection, and all of them have been extremely eager to accompany me every time I return there. In addition to the very high quality food and wonderful menu, the space itself is small and cozy, very charming, quiet and pleasant. They have a very large selection of delicious breakfast items, in addition to sandwiches, burgers, specialty plates and lots of incredible salads (one of them named after my dermatologist Dr. Lancer). Among the many charms of this little neighborhood gem are their reasonable prices, not so common in the Hills of Beverly. Although there are many delicious restaurants in the greater LA area, there are not many where the owners are fully present every day (at least every day that I've been there), and where after one or 2 visits they make you feel like you're family (or at least BFFs). One day recently I went to Beverliz for a comfort meal with my closest friend and was sharing my troubles with her. The owner saw my distress and when we were leaving offered me words of kindness with real, genuine sympathy in his eyes, and even gave me a comforting hug. That's the kind of cozy, homey place this is, and I wanted to post this review in the hope that it encourages at least one person to start frequenting it and telling their friends, because now I live in mortal terror that one day they will no longer be there, and I am determined to do everything I can to prevent that ever happening. So please, do me and yourself a huge favor, and make Beverliz your go-to breakfast and lunch place. You'll never regret it! read more

Stumbled upon this place. Quaint & I love the name (cuz it includes my name :) Guy at the counter was nice & my salad was good but unlike any cobb salad i'd ever had. I didn't get a long look at the menu cuz I was in a hurry but I could guess from the European theme probably all the items aren't traditional American but they seemed to serve all the regulars. They also had a mini-bakery & an extensive selection of drinks. I really enjoy how difficult it is to describe the menu of Beverliz...mediterranean - american maybe? It's like they took the best things from multiple regions and were like "yeah, let's do that too" which I think is a great way to build a menu. I went there for lunch during the week, and it got pretty busy after 1 PM. It's a small place so I'd recommend getting there a bit earlier if you want a table. The service was quick and accurate, which is what I look for in a brunch place. I opted for the strawberry chicken salad, which is HUGE. I definitely ended up taking half of it home, because it was so good I couldn't bear to lose out on any of it. The chicken was cooked and seasoned well, and the cook wasn't shy about adding on lots of the goat cheese or toasted almonds. Will definitely be going back! read more

I haven't had dinner, just breakfast and lunch, but I'm always satisfied. They have some low carb and healthy options, which is nice, but it is far from trendy. I can't imagine anyone driving to go here specifically, but if you are around S. Beverly Drive and want eggs rather than a pastry, this is the only spot aside from Urth cafe and Champagne bakery, which have fewer items and aren't as good, in my opinion. Beverliz does omelets, bagel and breakfast sandwiches, a breakfast burrito, and breakfast quesadilla, all with your choice of meat, avocado, and a tasty red sauce that I can't identify, but eat a lot of. They have good coffee, cappuccinos, and Americanos too, and some nice tables outside that are good for the pup, or for getting away from the busier spots on Beverly. read more

Great mom and pop cafe in the heart of Beverly Hills. Very lovely couple own the joint and are usually there. The food is very consistent and service is quick. It is a diamond in the rough due to its location. Being across the way from the trendiest, overpriced, pretentious chains second to 'The Ivy', Urth Caffe; it may be a challenge to find. No snobs here, just good food. Generous portions, fresh produce, you can't beat it! Great for a nice breakfast, brunch or lunch. They also deliver! read more

I just adored this little cafe. I felt so full after lunch, yet without that gross feeling of being full, which indicated that what I ate was pretty healthy. Service was casual yet attentive, they did serve me the wrong panini ( I wanted chicken-artichoke, and got chicken chipotle), but I only noticed after I almost ate all of it, so decided to not say anything. It was pretty good, and I will be back to try the right sandwich this time. Perfect place with small outdoor seating for salads, wraps, and paninis. What an amazing gem hidden on Beverly Drive. I have eaten over a million times on this block and never tried this place becAuse it is one block after all the other places on Beverly drive. My husband and I saw this place today and tried it for the first time. We absolutely loved it! GreAt food and amazing service. We will definitely be coming back here and I will for sure become a regular here! We got salmon and also a sandwich which were very huge portions. i LOVE beverliz. honestly, one of my favorite restaurants on beverly drive. trying to find a decent lunch place in bev hills is HARD. everything is either cheap but gross, good but overpriced, or too far away to fit into my hour lunch. beverliz is affordable, GOOD, and close enough to my work that i can walk there, eat, and walk back within an hour's time. the one thing i always get here is the turkey burger. it is seriously the BEST turkey burger i've ever tried--juicy (this is the one thing i notice a lot of turkey burgers lack), flavorful (another thing a lot of turkey burgers lack), and yet not overly greasy or salty (so hard to find!). plus it'll only knock you back $6 if you dont get a drink or fries (which is better for you anyway!). i've tried a few other items of the menu like the breakfast burrito, the salads, and the steak press wrap but i always go back to the good ol turkey burger. it really does hit the spot when you're craving a juicy fresh burger. it's even good when you order delivery! now that deserves 5 stars! read more

I have only had their breakfast and it is delicious! I have had the breakfast burrito numerous times (which I usually get with egg whites and turkey bacon) and I have had the breakfast sandwich made the same way. It's a little pricey, but it's really good. And they deliver too. I work close by. :) read more

This place is awesome. Good food and prices that you cannot beat in Beverly Hills! I had a patty melt, fries, and drink for under $10 - that is unheard of at a cafe in BH. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. They have 15 or small tables and deliver too! Parking can be a pain though. But overall - yum! read more

In all honesty the chipotle chicken sandwich was good and it would deserve a 3*. But they got my order wrong (which is hard considering I just ordered the sandwich), the coleslaw on the side was pretty bad. Cabbage shredded in a white sauce, not marinated, no raisins, don't call it coleslaw...my espresso tasted like folger and didn't have a foam on top and service was bad. Well fortunately you don't have to seek out a fictional basement bar in Chicago to have that experience. Just pop into the very special Beverliz Café. What this precious, cozy, charming café lacks in square footage, it makes up for in heart... big time! The staff radiates warm hospitality to every guest and treats regulars like family. Even the cooks in the kitchen were joyous and sweet... as I stumbled straight into them on my search for the tucked-away loo. The owners, Art and Anahit, are humble and kind and so generous to everyone. I had the Veggie Kabob plate and scarfed it all up. Delicious, light, fresh, tasty, healthy. Yum! I loved the food, the environment and the people. Best of all, after my meal, I carried with me a feeling of contentment through the rest of my day that came from being in an environment with people who truly care for others and show it through the service they offer in their work. I just had lunch at Beverliz for the first time and ordered a veggie wrap and hibiscus iced tea. While waiting, I was speaking with Ana who is SO sweet. I felt very at home in this little cafe. I took a sip of my iced (unsweetened) hibiscus tea and I was in HEAVEN. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I took a bite of my veggie wrap. It was AMAZING. Just had a completely obnoxious experience at this restaurant. 45 minutes went by with only two of our party of four people getting served. When we finally went up to the counter to ask what happened to our food we were told that because we ordered salad and not hot food it took longer for our food to come out. It's bad enough that we sat around for an hour only getting spoken to one time, but to be told that it was our fault that our food took forever is ridiculous. I get that they're a small, family run business, but you're either professional or you're not. And you definitely never blame the customer for choosing the wrong meal. I'm giving two stars because the food that did come out looked like it must be pretty good. There are lots of other restaurants that are worth my business. read more

The waiter recommended the plates with a lot of variety (humus, chicken, salad and pita bread) and it definitely was a good combination of variety! Came here for a late lunch on Saturday. The ambiance was great, light music was playing (Spanish guitar, my favorite!). Our server was attentive. The food was terrific! I had the veggie burger, my daughters had the salmon burger and the Chilean salmon salad. They loved their food. The portions were generous. My daughter spotted a "no cell phone use" on the menu (THANK YOU Beverliz Cafe!). It is quiet and peaceful here, even with several tables full, one of which included children.
