Vibe- Cool burger spot with a lot of menu items! I love that they have a vegan burger on the menu :) there's plenty of seating inside, I'd say over 40+ tables. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got the vegan burger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, and tomatoes and the wedge fries. The burger was alright, the grain patty wasn't seasoned enough for me so I would give it a 3/5; the wedge fries were delicious! Parking- There's plenty of parking in the lot.

First time going to Beyond Burger. Honestly thought it was fake meat when I first saw the sign. Some friends told me to check the menu and I was surprised. I got the South of the Border (1/2 beef burger, chorizo, fried egg and, pepper jack). So you order your burger and it is made with your choice of protein and cheese. After you pick up your order you take it to the condiment bar and build away. I added red onion, tomato, shredded lettuce, and mayo.

Solid 1/2 patty burger. Wanted a "lighter" fare so went bunless. The topping bar was ideal for this as they had both large romaine leaf lettuce or shredded iceberg. I was able to use the larger pieces to wrap my burger in. Fries were good. Could have either had a little more seasoning and/or temp hot. Good casual dining fond in Texas City. Salad on the menu looked good as well and would try them out next time.

Been coming here a few times now and have never gotten the chance to leave a review (my bad)! I have to say, they still have the best burgers in the area. And despite inflation and whatnot; their prices and serving sizes has remained reasonable. I always order the portobello mushroom burger and load up my plate with as many veggies (from the veggie buffet) as I can fit on my plate. It's always tasted the same old amazing flavor that I've always loved since the first time we tried this place out years ago. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great food. I particularly enjoy their grilled chicken salad with avocado, bacon, and extra eggs. Their steak sandwich is also really good.

Really, that was my welcome? The restaurant had a few customers for the early Saturday morning. I was sat at a table that was very wobbly. The server had to notice because she moved the table around before seating me. Really, all these empty tables and you sit me at the wobbly one. I ordered a hot tea and ice water. The water for the tea tasted like it came from the coffee pot. Restaurants need to learn not to use the same pot for hot water that is used for coffee. I get bad indigestion if I drink any amount of coffee. So much so I now state I am allergic to coffee. So restaurants, please stop mixing the pots without doing a deep cleaning. I also ordered "The Southerner". It has 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs over medium served on a split biscuit, covered with sausage gravy and a side of grits. I requested the gravy to be on the side. The eggs were cooked great, sausage patties also great. The biscuit they were on had an odd taste. Didn't taste like the biscuits were baked, maybe fried? That would probably explain the biscuit being tough. The sausage gravy was not good. The gravy was thin/runny with cut up pieces of the sausage patties, but it lacked the sausage flavor. The grits were also very soupy. I had pushed my full cup of hot tea to the edge of the table, the server either didn't notice or just didn't care. I was only asked once if I was needing anything else, and since she didn't ask about my full cup of tea, I wasn't going to say anything. When she came over to the table she asked if I needed anything, I stated No, I am done. She asked if I wanted my check, and I paid my tab. They do advertise Bloody Mary's and other breakfast cocktails but I didn't have any of those. The location is good, area outside for the kids to run and play. Seating outside also to watch the kids. I think I would only return to this place if I am invited out to brunch with my group of friends. Otherwise, would be a long while before I return, being hopeful things have improved.

Maybe it's just me, but when the meat easily melts in your mouth, you have to slowly enjoy it. The veggies were fresh and seasoned nicely and the mashed potatoes came alive flavor wise thanks to the shredded cheese and bacon bits. I just wished they were a bit bigger to match the steak portions wise. As for the establishment itself, a bit noisy, but it can be easily overlooked by the laidback vibe. I could see this place being overstimulating for some but, but for me, the music was at the right volume and nothing was too distracting from my experience. It was also nice to see the severs participate in a line dance randomly in the middle of the restaurant, as well as someone being celebrated for their birthday. I wasn't aware of traditions like that before visiting and it left a much more memorable experience than somewhere like Logan's Roadhouse. The food was excellent. Those rolls are to die for! I ordered the grilled salmon. While this is a steakhouse, I was impressed with the quality of the salmon. It had the perfect texture and combination of flavors. The lemon butter not so much. If you want to buy only a daiquiri, you can't. You have to buy a food menu item, too, but it wasn't even Sunday when they told me this. Daiquiris: delicious and a variety to choose from. Food: The first time I came here I had hush puppies and a daiquiri. They were both good. The second time: a catfish poboy with remoulade sauce, the meaty part of the fish was so thin. I thought it was just a bad day or I received a really small fish out of the bunch, but it tasted okay the remoulade sauce saved it. The third time I ordered a catfish and shrimp platter, which had a nice amount of fries, but I couldn't really see how the catfish and shrimp looked or how many of each I received initially. That wasn't an issue, because I like French fries. But once I ate some of my French fries, that's when I realized that I had 4 shrimp, which were a good size and delicious and 3 catfish PIECES for $27. The two sauces were great. After seeing the catfish and four shrimp, I reviewed their website because the catfish was not catfishing the way that I'm accustomed. Their website says CATFISH PIECES, it's literally HALF of what a standard 3 piece catfish order would be at other places, so ONE AND HALF catfish. Absolutely ridiculous. Mind you the $27 does not include a drink, bread, or a daiquiri in the total price, just the food that you see in the picture, sans some of the fries that I ate. If I ever come back here again, it would only be for the daiquiri. I was disappointed in the catfish flavor, size and cost. I will wait until I visit home to get a better value catfish plate and eat elsewhere in the Houston area, because $27 for this is crazy. Ambiance: There's parking and the place looks clean with plenty of places to sit inside considering the size of the place.

Very vibrant and unique, with a neat outdoor area and amazing TV placement for those who care about that. Even their to-go counter is well decorated and themed! I can't comment on the atmosphere since both times I've been it's been relatively quiet, but I'd imagine on a busy night this place could have a fun atmosphere. Joshua was our server and he did a good job, and our food came out relatively fast, so no issues with service. As for the food however, I can't be as positive. Last time I had the Mahi Mahi and thought it was fine enough. This time I decided to try one of their burgers. I'll be honest, I like my burgers pretty plain, which is its own can of worms. Point being, the bun tasted very odd and almost stale, and the patty was very mushy and lacked flavor. The signature sauce was also unappetizing, with it being some sort of distant cousin of mustard or potentially a very odd Thousand Islands? I'm not sure if additional toppings would save this considering the unappealing foundation. It just left me very unfulfilled. The milkshakes on the other hand? Fantastic. Definitely the highlight. It was just as good as the last time I went. I haven't been to many other places that matches the quality of here. Could not recommend more. I've yet to try the chicken or other fish so I can't comment on their quality. All I'm gonna say is, burger lovers maybe approach with a grain of salt. 3/5
