I stopped by on the way to the airport and this was some of the best, if not the best, vegan food I've had in this city, and in a long time. I got the jackfruit crab cakes and they were delicious. The wild rice and sauteed greens were such a nice compliment. I also loved the sauce that went with it. I will come back! read more

Wow!!!! So by taking a little stroll in Culver City I came across an Alkaline vegan Cafe. My eyes got big cause I was like yes my kind of eating I'm assuming the gentleman that warmly greeted me was the owner. Very nice to walk in and be greeted so warmly. They have a digital menu before you walk in so I decided with the quesidilla with walnut cheese. That was the best vegan quesidilla I've ever had! It was grilled to perfection and had a nice little crunch to it. The refried garbanzo beans is just something so good and flavorful you have to taste. Wild rice perfection as well. They also have a large array of supplements: my favorite sea moss, men's health women's health, detox all type of wonderful supplements to keep you in good health. I'll be back really soon!!! Wanting a place to loiter before picking up friends at the airport, I found this spot to be great for grabbing a snack or a healthy juice. I visited towards the end of the workday, so the options were a bit limited. It wasn't just sad leftovers, though. I discovered a perfect little snack box they call the "Snack Quartet." Cameron was very welcoming. I'll definitely be back to this bright little spot in "The Triangle." read more

My neighbor recommended I visit this restaurant which I did today. Now, I am not a 'proper' vegan per se, but I am trying to have one full day of veganism/vegetarianism per week, as I like to have a balanced diet. I had the quinoa and jackfruit 'crab' cake with kale,...and the food was epic! Love their selections of grab-n-go items. They all look tasty. The service was decent too. However, it's on the pricey side for me. Nothing less than $15 which most vegan places set their prices. Crazy, how eating healthy is not at everybody's reach!! Would I go there again, probably, though not as often as my budget would allow me :(. Wish they had items that could suit everyone's pocket, and expand their clientele or have more repeat customers! The most delicious vegan food I've had in some time. I've had the Buddha Bowl, Jackfruit tacos & the Quesadilla. Portions are generous & everything tastes fresh. The fresh juices are not to be missed. I am sad it is over an hour from me or I would definitely be a regular. Thank you for caring and providing healthy delicious options to the neighborhood. This place is amazing! The food, the juice, the service...all outstanding. It's clean in here, they play good music, and the smell of the food will have your mouth watering. They have a cold section for juice, ready made meals to go and prepared soursop and mango sea moss gels. They also have a wall of holistic herbal supplements for many common problems. We tried the camis cooler, tamarind & ginger, and the grape juices, all super good! All the food not only looks but tastes delicious. They have a lot of foot traffic of people buying their meals and juices for the next couple of days that had nothing but great things to say. If you're in the area, go now to try it. The level of unprofessionalism is amazing. This "open and close when we feel like it" is why people like myself can't buy into the "support black business" thing. I spent the time and gas going there, they had the open advertisement outside the door, and it was locked and someone inside saying "we're closed". Amazing. Weird that it's always places like these, who focus on health that have such unhealthy business. read more

Super friendly owner and staff. We had the chana masala, Buddha bowl, sandwich, and jackfruit tacos. They made the food fresh and it was quite flavorful. I had their vegan jamalaya. It was surprisingly good even after I reheated it a couple of days afterwards. Lots of chewy and soft bits like mushroom and stewed okra(?) or other stuff. Overall jambalaya flavor was there. Skip the cactus cooler - it tastes nothing like its namesake. Although it might be better if you mix it with some cactus cooler. read more

I am Lucious, a principal in the Netflix movie "The Game Changer". Always searching for good (any lol) Vegan restaurants when I travel. I have been a Vegan for over 22 years now, and the food here is amazing! Good flavor and the bonus was that the meals are based upon the pioneer of the "Electric Food" nutrition from Dr. Sebi's research. The food is flavorful and the detoxing food elements unmistakable. I've tried 3 things (quesadilla, tacos, crab cakes) and a juice and I love this place so far. Food: amazing and feels healthy. All vegan! Service: great, food was ready in reasonable time. They also have to-go options already boxed in a refrigerated section that they can heat up for you too. Ambiance: pleasant and clean Price: reasonable for the great taste, quality, and amount. The food is amazing!! Flavorful, very satisfying, and prepared to perfection. My new spot and so happy to have found it. This place truly caught me off guard. I went in (ate/smashed) and everything was fire (emoji won't show) and I even bought 3 more dinners, a lunch and 2 soursop juices after I finished eating, to have meal preps I could just grab and go for later and another 2 days! In photo...The "Best" Sandwich with burro cut fries; sandwich is delicious and the bread caps it off (trust); very nice touch to compliment the sandwich . I'm still trying to figure out the seasoning on the burro banana. Its like I know what it is but then I can't put two and two together, so I don't know what it is lol. The Beyond Vegan Quesadilla with wild rice and the refried garbanzo beans, yes refried garbanzo beans I scrapped that plate. And lastly, the Chickpea Chowder (saved for later cause I was full, but bout to murk now)... I don't know how he does it (chef/owner) but he does it!! Today was my first visit but it will certainly not be my last!! It was a truly an amazing experience, the food, service, and ambiance was a 10 out of 10!!! I purchased the quesadillas over wild rice and was completely satisfied: taste, portion size, and presentation were truly outstanding. I also purchased soup for the rest of the week!! This place is so delicious!! we got the sandwich, chickpea soup, and the pina colada smoothie. both the soup and the sandwich was so flavorful and beyond delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the smoothie because it was kinda chunky. My boyfriend rly liked though it so if you don't have a problem with textures, the taste was great! They had some seating inside and the service was super quick. would definitely come here again when i'm back in town. read more

Really enjoyed my experience at Beyond Vegan. I ordered the "best" sandwich and it was so delicious! They put some seasoning on the bread and then grilled it. So yummy highly recommend. I would prefer though if you're dining in that they would use China and metal forks. Something that's easy, washable and better for the environment than plastic containers. If you're coming into LAX do yourself a favor and come here immediately after leaving the airport. Nothing better after a long flight than some good healthy food. Their food is delicious and high protein. I'm not a vegan but do travel a lot for work. Meals like this are the closest thing to a meal at home so I'm grateful! The staff here are also great, thank you to the very nice staff that helped me out! I got the Buddha bowl, it was a large serving and tasted delicious. Thank you again Beyond Vegan team! There is plenty of street parking and also a large parking lot (free for 2hrs) less than a minute down the road if you are walking. read more

Beyond vegan is definitely a hidden gem. They have everything you need to heal yourself and start on a healthy life journey. I've been coming to their locations for a few years now. They follow Dr. Sebi alkaline diet teaching on food. The food is always so fresh and delicious. If you're on a alkaline journey, this is the place to order your meals and get the best herbs. I will eventually try their meal plans because my body needs a reset. The herbs I love to purchase is the mega plant iron capsules. They're by far the best herbs you can take to get your iron back to where it need to be. I deal with anemia a lot but when I take the mega plant iron capsules I'm more energized and my iron levels are phenomenal! The best! They also have fresh juices (JuiceBae) that they make in house. I've tried several in the past and all of them are so refreshing and delicious! Beyond vegan is definitely your one stop shop :) read more

One of the best vegan restaurants that I've ever eaten at! I got the Best salad which was the best vegan salad I had. And for dessert, apples slices that were made in some sort of juice that helped my sweet & sour craving for candy. The customer service was also outstanding. Found this place by chance looking up "healthy food" on yelp. The people were friendly, and helpful. They offer dine in or take out, but they also have ready made meals in oven safe containers and soups that are out of this world. The food, the service and the vibe. This place is the trifecta. The food is well executed and yummy. The product availability is a vegan person's candy store. They have smoothies, juices and all are freshly made. Next the customer service so nice. Even though I know the gentleman at the front must answer same three questions, at least 20 times a day. He still answers with the same even-tone pleasantness as if it were the first time. Lastly the vibe, soft modern r&b and Caribbean beats playing in the background, while the aromas of good spices and herbs dance in the air. It's a quite place and but not at the same time. This review is overdue. Ordered takeout from here for the first time a few weeks ago. The employee who I think was one of the owners was great about answering any questions I had and when I asked how spicy the sauce was, he let me taste it first. I got the quesadilla which came with refried chickpeas (delish!!), and the ginger strawberry juice. He also gave me a free ginger tamarind juice for waiting a bit longer. Friendly, excellent service and super healthy and tasty WFPB food. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area. read more

Thankfully, the young lady behind the counter was an herbalist. After a few quick questions she made a couple of great recommendations. Ultimately I ended up getting a cold pressed juice that I believe had carrot, pineapple, apple, and ginger in it. It was so spicy and so good. I like my ginger drinks with a little kick on this one delivered! For the road I also got a bottle of the 'Purple Rain' butterfly pea flower lemonade. Ever so slightly tart and incredibly refreshing! The Philly cheesesteak with all the fixings and fries, the pasta with the garlic knots, and two apple pies. Everything was delicious. I'll def be back. This will be my Friday lunch/dinner for the next few weeks. Service was dope, very friendly and I felt the love in my food. Prices can't be beat either. I drove there and it was not a safe part of town. Buildings were abandoned and people were living in the streets. It smelled like urine. Folks were showering at the broken fire hydrants. I walked around looking for the restaurant or a food pick up window and could not find anything. All I saw were abandoned buildings. I walked down one side of the street and was too scared to turn the corner where guys were smoking pot and I could see water spraying into the air. I got back in my car to drive by and could not see any signage. If this is a legitimate restaurant or ghost kitchen/food pick up spot then there needs to be better signage so that it is clear that this place actually exist.
