Great place for quick meal if you're craving bibimbap! It has a clean modern feel to the restaurant. The hot stone bowl is delicious (especially the crispy rice you get to eat at the bottom). We came as a party of 7 on a weekday right before the lunch rush at noon, and were lucky enough to get a table. We ordered the kimchi pancake, seafood pancake, & crispy tofu to share. Personally, I thought the kimchi pancake was better than the seafood one. I really wanted to love my tofu soup, but it had carrots and zucchini, which is not typical of Korean tofu soup. Every Friday is a working lunch and one person gets to choose the menu of their choice following each employee would have to order from that same menu. Well, you can't go wrong with bibimbap. This is one of my favorite items. Got my bowl during lunch and it looks good enough to devour. Bit into the tofu and it tastes more traditionally Chinese cooked than authentic Korean. Don't know if authenticity is even a word to describe this joint. I had brown rice but the portion was pretty small so no brownie points for that either. I easily could had two of these bowls. I have been meaning to try this place for a very long time but never got a chance. We finally ordered through yelp last week. We got two bibim bowls one with beef and other with shrimp and a kimchi pancake. The pancake was definitely the best among the three items that we ordered. The bowls were quite large yet not filling. The shrimp bowl had about 8 shrimp pieces however none of the shrimp were deveined. I would have eaten had I not noticed it but after seeing it I couldn't get myself to eat it. Came here with some coworkers for lunch. I tried their most popular hot stone bowl with Tofu and it tasted great! My coworkers had different kinds of meat and they say it's great as well. The key is to let the hot stone bowl sit for 4-5 minutes while the bowl is piping hot as it cooks the rice even more, making it nice and crispy that enhances the taste of the dish! We ordered delivery and thought the food was mediocre. Their food is significantly cheaper than some of the other Korean restaurants and I think it shows in the quality of the food unfortunately. Everything just seemed OK and would do for a quick bite. I got the kimchi tofu soup and thought it was okay. The soup itself seemed a bit watery but overall flavor was passable. I would probably eat this again since it was passable but I've definitely had more flavorful soup elsewhere. They do give you a decent amount though. The Japchae was not super flavorful and was also kind of dry. Well it was kind of flavorful in that they used a lot of sesame oil for some reason. But not much flavor besides that. Do not come here expecting traditional Korean food, this is more along the lines of healthy Korean food. The menu includes dolsot bibimbap (hot stone bowls), bibimbap bowls, or a sizzling platters. A bento box meal option, Korean BBQ, and tofu soup (soon du bo) as a meals, as well. Almost everything on a menu can be vegetarian or vegan - even their kimchi is vegan! My favorite thing here is the tofu bibimbap bowl - I prefer it over the tofu hot stone bowl because their tofu has a specific sticky texture that just works better served at a cooler temperature. My friend and I were looking for a new place to try in the area. We came upon this place when looking on Yelp. The food looked pretty good and we are both fans of bibimbap. My friend ordered the bulgogi bowl and I ordered the bibim bowl with teriyaki chicken. Overall the flavor was good, the meats were seasoned well and the sauce that came with the teriyaki chicken added extra flavor to the overall bowl. The only thing we would say is that we wish there was a little more rice in the bowl. The vegetables used were a little overpowering and I feel like the rice would've just balanced it out better. The food was good, but nothing too special. We came for dinner and after we didn't really feel too full. I would say it's a nice spot to come for a quick lunch. read more

I have gone here probably a couple dozen times in the last year , the place is easy to get and out and for the most part service is quick. Have had a few times that my order needed to be checked on , one time , it had not been placed. However the food is very fresh , comes out with consistent temperate and packaged well for take out during COVID Their are a couple areas to sit around outside location ? But better to pick up. One thing that is sometimes a concern the cashier continues to report order back to you fast , sometime although know not mad comes off Little angry and really just makes the order confirmation difficult to understand So the 4 star here is for the quality and packaging of to go orders. Came here on a weeknight around 630pm based on the high Yelp ratings and expected a bit of a wait. The place was less than 1/2 full and we sat immediately. We barely had a chance to look at the menu when they brought us some kimchi and asked for drink orders. Based on you Yelpers, we decided to go with the popular dishes: Hot Stone Bowl with white rice, bulgogi (beef), assorted marinated vegetables, ADD a fried egg, and original (non-spicy) sauce. It's served with miso soup. Tofu Soup with brown rice, beef, shrimp, & clam (original), and mild spice. You get a raw egg to cook in the broth. Both are generous portions - we had trouble finishing either dish. The tofu was the more flavorful of the two dishes. I felt like the rice in the hot stone bowl dried out over time. Prices are reasonable; service was good. I enjoyed Bimbimbowl and probably will come back but it's not in my regular rotation. read more

However, she was given Miso soup which was not part of the box she ordered. It was free for her. When I ordered the same thing, I did not get miso soup. My co-worker pointed out that it must've been free because she is Asian. I sat there feeling like I wanted to leave. We came here on a Monday at 6pm and the parking was not that great since it was a strip mall with limited parking. It was probably good for people who worked in the nearby buildings that were walking distances. There were a few people here but this place was fairly open as far as tables. Their menu was simple and there weren't too many things on the menu to potentially complicate things. We ordered the two Tofu Soup ($10.99), the Hot Stone Bowl (with beef bulgogi) ($10.99), and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi ($12.99). They had choices on which rice you wanted (only white or brown), what kind of protein, and what kind of sauce/spicy level. Each came with rice, miso, or salad and of course ban chan (not a whole lot like other Korean restaurants). The salad and miso were nothing special to me. The Hot Stone Bowl with beef bulgogi was good and pretty much like other Korean restaurants with bibimbap. It would be hard to mess that up. The Tofu Soup was flavorful and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi was okay and not really spicy to me. One of these would be enough for one person. Came here for dinner tonight with a coworker and looooved it! We were seated promptly once we arrived and we ordered the following: Original tofu soup which came with beef and tofu. This was delicious and I really enjoyed the broth. I enjoyed the clams and other seafood that the soup came with as well. Mind you, not a fan of spice I ordered the soup in mild and I still enjoyed it! Before the soup came out we were also given cucumbers, kimchi, and raw eggs as side dishes with rice. Overall I really enjoyed this dish and would go back for more. Next we ordered the galbi and shared between the both of us. The order came with veggies and the meat was grilled and seasoned to perfection. This dish also came with miso soup. Definitely enjoyed this to eat on the side with the tofu soups. I have this bottle of gochujang from three years ago the last time Bibimbowl catered for my office when we were all still in. It's still good ...and I still use it (tastes exactly the same as it did as the day I took it home.) This review is for my veg homies. The vegetarian and vegan friendly items are great. Soondubu is just okay but that tofu box is on point. Do it. Note. I called and ask if the tofu is vegan or not due to the breading, and they mentioned it is but I would also love additional confirmation on that. Also would be nice to know for the kimchi (which I usually assume is not due to fish/shellfish productions traditionally used to make it). read more

BibimBowl is very similar to Sunny Bowl in Mountain View. The question we're all asking is, "Which one is better?!" Well today, we're going to have them face off in culinary combat to answer that question once and for all. The winner for each round will be determined by two impartial judges: my wallet, and my stomach. Let the battle begin! PRICES: Sunny Bowl. SB is slightly cheaper and their items are priced so that they come to an even number after tax. VARIETY: BibimBowl. SB doesn't offer pork, but BB does. BB offers both normal and spicy versions of beef and chicken; SB has just the normal versions. Both places have the option for brown rice, but only BB advertises it. BB gives you four choices for sauce, compared to a single option at SB. QUALITY OF FOOD: Sunny Bowl. Both places use fresh ingredients, but SB's bibimbap includes scrambled egg and grape tomato, which BB omits. QUANTITY OF FOOD: Guess what. For this round, we have a tie! Both places provide a reasonable amount of food, but my stomach would be happy with more. AMBIANCE: Sunny Bowl. After their remodel, SB has a lot more space, feels less cramped, and has a classy-looking bar. Sorry BB, your modern look is appreciated, but you're still cramped, like SB used to be. HOURS: Sunny Bowl. During weekdays, BB closes after lunch at 2:30, and reopens for dinner at 4:30. SB works hard and takes no such break. Both places are annoyingly closed on Sunday. Verdict: Well, well. All things considered, Sunny Bowl ekes out a narrow win, with BibimBowl a close second due to their larger variety. The importance of variety is not to be underestimated. Sunny Bowl will continue to be my first choice for bibimbap, but on days I don't bring my car to work and can't drive over to Mountain View, BibimBowl in Sunnyvale will be a gratifying choice indeed. My problem is that they price it as a regular Korean food. Paying 12.45$ (11.95$ + tip) for this is not fair. What I had was not worth more than 8$ with taxes. Over rated. After a day of running errands, my daughter & I were starving! So, we decided to try out BB, which has been on my radar since they have opened. And, it's just down the street from our house. Unfortunately, we arrived just as they were about to close, so we couldn't sit down. But, we were able to take our stuff to go. I ordered a Bibim Bowl with spicy pork, but, they ran out of pork. So, I asked for chicken instead, but were only able to give me half, since my daughters order took up most of the chicken, so I was able to get the bulgogi as well. I tried the citron soy & the original spicy. I was starved! I couldn't wait to get home & dig in. And let me tell you, I must have been hungry, because I even ate the sides of kimchi, of which I am not a huge fan of. But, nevertheless, it was all so good. It is definitely a great spot for some quick & easy Korean food. The restaurant is nice & bright & the decor is pretty modest, simple and well appointed. Went there because of the good reviews. Was extremely disappointed. We ordered the bento boxes priced at $13.99 each with choices of galbi, beef, chicken. Being a first timer there, we didn't know how to order. The owner behind the counter is rushing us and seemed irritated. Husband and I ordered galbi and bulgogi each plus seafood tofu soup and 2 bottled beverages. Total came to $72!!! The guy didn't even offer to give us the receipt. A friend invited me here to grab a bite to eat. I love bibimbop, so I had no qualms about this place. Everyone comparing it to a Chipotle though thought that I would be picking out my veggies too, but that was not the case. We arrived right when they opened, and our server was really friendly and ushered us to the back of the restaurant for more privacy and since it's quiet in the back of the long restaurant. The reason for the lack of 5 stars is since we were seated near the restroom, all I could smell was bleach and cleaning products. That's one of my biggest pet peeves at restaurants (more when they are cleaning while you are eating) but I could not get the stench out of my sensitive nose. Kudos to them for doing such a good job cleaning, but negative points for seating us there. I decided to get the stone pot bibimbop because I like my food hot, and went with the spicy pork since I get beef all the time. For $9 (egg included on this one), it was not a bad deal. Typically other Korean restaurants charge up to $15 for this dish. Friend ordered the cold version, which is $2 cheaper, but a $1 extra for a fried egg. We were given miso soup and side dish of kimchi (cabbage kind that you find at chinese/korean restaurants) and pickled cucumbers. We also ordered the kimchi pancake, which for $6 is not cheap as it's only 6 pieces. It was tasty though, drenched in oil. Yum. Our entrees came out shortly after, and I had expected it to be smaller portions and not as crazy hot and sizzling, but it was. My rice burnt immediately, which I actually am not a fan of (gets all stuck up in your teeth!) and the sunnyside egg immediately turned into well done. Lots of veggies that you would typically find (although I tossed all the mushrooms out), and the spicy pork was really good, but definitley fatty. I couldn't finish my dish, which is saying a lot!
