ADV rider, super cool place to grab lunch or take out! :{) OK, I finally tried the Big Bear Deli and am so glad i did. Upon entering i was immediately greeted and handed a menu. I advised the very nice young lady that it was my first time there and asked for a suggestion. She recommended the Big Bear Sandwich, with your choice of chips and a cold drink...sold! I made my way up to the register, placed my order and just a few minutes later she delivered it to my table. WoW, that is a huge sandwich! I was barely able to finish my meal and left filled and well pleased. All of the ingredients were super fresh, colorful and tasty! Parking was easy(motorcycle), their facility is very nice, and well kept with indoor/out of doors seating. It was very clean, well stocked and well staffed. Each of the staff members that i dealt with were clean, very presentable and personable(rather refreshing). Please do not do like i did and wait years before you stop in. My new favorite place is Big Bear Deli in post falls. Their ingredients are amazing!!! Today I was craving an amazing pastrami sandwich, when I got there I had to wait maybe 2 minutes tops before who I presumed was the owner saw me, asked if I'd been helped when I said no she apologized and got someone to ring up my order right away. They were so nice and the food was amazing as usual. When I got home I noticed a little gift card in my bag. My assumption is that it was because of the short wait I had before getting my order taken or maybe it was my 33 week pregnant belly that they just knew I needed more sandwiches but it was so sweet!! I didn't take a picture of the pastrami because well it was my first meal of the day and like I said I'm 33 weeks pregnant so it got devoured quickly but here's a picture of a turkey sandwich I got a week or so ago. Finally! We finally made it to Big Bear Deli on Friday for their shrimp po boy!! Worth the wait, but will try not to wait so long before going back! The roll looks like it might make the sandwich awkward to eat, but it's super soft and squishes down to hold all that goodness in the sandwich and make it into the mouth ! So we tried big bear deli for the first time today. Looks like the place belongs in the mountains, like it's namesake. Really thought the outside tables were cool and the place doesn't even feel like you are "in town". Looked over the menu, lots of options, reasonable priced (think 8 bucks a sandwich comes with chips). Had the daily special for today, I don't remember what it was, and it was delicious. My wife ordered a number two. She added mayo at home and it was a great sandwich too. Meats, bread, and all ingredients seemed very fresh. We will be back for more. Big bear deli is a small little sandwich shop packed with TONS of flavor! My boys and I tried it for the first time and absolutely loved their sandwiches. I got a number #7, my oldest got a club sandwich and my youngest got #13! We were all very impressed and in a food coma after we were done! Why am I even writing a review for this place it is clearly so popular and great! I have to add to their accolades! Great fresh baked bread and hearty meats. Good selection of chips and a rotating homemade soup. The building is small and looks like a cozy mountain retreat. They are only open for lunch. Service is speedy and friendly. No, they are NOT from California LOL! I personally love their version of the French dip. You get plenty of au jus and the bread is buttered and toasted to perfection. The sandwiches here are great, and there's always a "special"that is top notch.... but I come here for the SOUP!!! First time it was roasted garlic and onion... so good, next up was a wonderful split pea and tomato, last week I had a great chicken and sausage gumbo... each time I go back, I'm hoping that they'll have the soups I've tried again but every time I try a new soup I find one that I like even better than the last. There are always two options, one for the carnivores and one for the vegetarians. They are all obviously made from scratch, and are super hearty. I have read several negative reviews about customer service, but I am doubtful about them as we have never had anything but top-notch service, friendly smiles, and instant refills of our RC cola, which is a sweet surprise. This is a place I found by luck. I moved here about a month ago and was looking for a good sandwich in town. I was so use to a good sandwich from where i use to live I was a little spoiled. I took my wife and son and we all ordered something a little different and not one of use were disappointed with our choice. This place has huge, fresh and great tasting sandwiches. Not only the food but the service was great, friendly and it goes to everyone working at this store. This is a family owned small place that all of the big boys should learn from as a model. Ordered a Ruben. Staff was friendly enough, sevice was ok, but I basically got a sourkraut sandwich with a thin slice of beef on it. When the manager/owner asked me what I thought I gave him this same opinion. He suggested I ordered "xtra meat" next time. But frankly I think $8 for a sandwich is quite enough. As long as it's a cornedbeef sandwich with kraut, not a kraut sandwich w/ a thin slice of beef. So in my opinion, not worth the thin slice of nothing you get for your money. And that feedback from the owner was horse shit. I won't be back. Side note* the waitress was wearing flip flops. And Nobody wants to see someone's nasty feet slapin around in open toe shoes while there eating, especially if it's an employee. read more

Great food, super friendly staff. My new favorite place to eat in PostFalls. We had soup, sandwich and coleslaw, all were delicious. They were busy, steady stream of customers, many getting to go orders. Our food came out promptly, steaming hot. My only concern was that they don't seem to wipe down the tables after a customer leaves. They were very quick to clear a table, but they were all left sticky. Where we sat was based on which table looked the least sticky. Not something I want to worry about, I hope they improve on this, as I will be back. read more
