Came here last Saturday. The place was buzzing and full. Even though it was busy service was fast, very friendly, and the food was really good. I cant say enough about thw macaroni n cheese chicken sandwich. Live in the neighborhood so always excited to try new places opening up ! Easy parking at the Landing and then walked in to the relatively new chicken spot. From the get go- service matters here. There were some individuals who looked manager level, helping maintain cleanliness and greeting customers. They have instilled a genuine sense of being kind and caring into their employees - even people on break would look up, smile and be helpful. Ordering was easy, so many choices ! I was pleasantly surprised at how good the chicken sandwich was here! The jalapeño slAw really made the sandwich flavor go to another level. On top of that Shaq has provided 3 specialty sauces, which I dipped my sandwich into ALL of them I also recommend the strawberry lemonade to go with your meal , as well as trying the peach sweet tea. But being honest the fast food franchise in Renton ( landing), is unorganized, lack of seating, no signs to post when you're number is called, and the refuse to wash down the clean up the few tables they have after they have been used. Ok, Ok I am a fan! Now that I got that out let me share my experience .. It was AWESOME start to finish. I went by to see how busy they might be. Parked and got right the counter. The person that helped me was very polite and seemed like she liked to be there! The place was nice and clean and had customers eating their lunch. I ordered a couple of the "Shaq Attack Baskets" to go. Got my cups and filled them, got my sauces too. Then I was called for pick up. Again I will say by the super attentive and friendly lady. Took my food and left out the door....... Well now this is when I will say "this is the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had" ..... The brioche bun was soft, the chicken is nicely breaded, not too crispy not soggy just plain perfect. And cooked to perfectionas well! The "Shaq Slaw" is kick a$$ awesome, add the peperjack cheese and it all comes together. Now this sandwich has 1 pepper on the menu for its spicyness factor, I think it fits perfectly as it has some heat but more the flavor, you could still taste it.. The fries are funkily awesome, they are not normal fries they are wide (about an inch), but thin and flat. Done to my liking. I had some Shaq Sauce on them. It's a old fashioned type of fry sauce with a bit of a kick. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side for some, I get it.. You need to go and try it for yourself! read more

I got the big and sloppy chicken sandwich meal which came with steak fries and a drink, the mac n cheese, and the grandma's banana pudding ice cream sandwich. The chicken sandwich was juicy, the fries were amazing, the sauces were very solid, and the drink that I chose was the pineapple cream soda. I'm not a big cream soda person, but I loved it. To be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of the mac n cheese, as it lacked seasoning a little bit, but the few bites with the crushed cheese it's on top were really good. Made a trip to Big Chicken, in Renton, from West Seattle to see what the hype was all about. Not sure how I feel about it though I think I had very high expectations and came away with just a sandwich. Nothing to really set it apart. I kept waiting for something to kick in so I could say yes now that amazing chicken...never happened. I get that the chicken used is hormone free and all that and I read one of the owners responses where he talked about the weight of their chicken compared to Popeyes and that other place I will not mention, but I feel like Popeyes sandwich was larger. I will definitely try Big Chicken again but I will need to be coming to the east side for something else besides going there. I need to actually compare one of the Big Chicken sandwiches to an actual Popeyes to really see. I rate it a strong 3.5 stars but not quite a 4. read more

Big Chicken? More like Big Attitude and Big Food Poisoning. I've worked food and retail for a long time, so especially with fast food like this I've come to be pretty forgiving. But I feel like I have to start at the beginning, because this was probably the worst experience I've had in a long time. My husband and I walked in and stood a few feet from the register with no one in line behind us. We were still considering the menu when the girl at the register called out to us "for here or to go?". At first I was confused, as we hadn't even been greeted or approached the register yet, but she called out to us again: "for here or to go?". We said "for here, but we're still looking". She waited for us to decide, and once we approached the register again she asked again: "for here or to go?". No hello or how are you, just the same question. Whatever, maybe she forgot. I told her for here again, and we ordered. About halfway through our order, she lifted her t-shirt collar over her nose and started speaking very quietly into it. I didn't pay it any attention at first, but as the order went on it became hard to hear her questions and she still had her entire nose and mouth inside her shirt. Finally I decided to joke, "Do we smell bad girl??". She told me "No, sorry, I just don't feel well". It worried me then that she was feeling sick on the floor, if she was one of my employees I would've sent her home. Or at the very least, maybe she should be wearing a mask?? I told her "Maybe you shouldn't be on the floor if you're not feeling well...". She seemed to take that to heart, because as soon as she took our payment she sprinted off the floor without giving us our drinks or our receipt/order number. We had to flag down a different employee to give us both of those. At first, I was glad she got to go home. I hoped she would feel better. But after a few minutes I turned around and she had returned to the front register, leaning against the counter and looking just as sickly as ever. We ate our food, which was pretty standard as far as fried chicken goes, and headed out. About halfway home I started feeling nauseous, and I've been glued to the toilet ever since. I've had no other food today that could've contributed to this; this is the only food I've had outside my norm today. I'm not saying this sick (and kinda rude) employee was to blame for me getting sick, but it makes me worried about what's going on behind the scenes.
