Has been my favorite place for BBQ in Branson. The ribs were excellent! Not sure of the seasoning here, but was so good it didn't need BBQ sauce. For sauces they also had 3 choices to choose from. All different but very good. I will be sure to come back here whenever in town. read more

Very good BBQ and sides. We had Texas Brisket and is smoky, perfectly seasoned and tender. Best Fried Okra we've had just delicious...better than Gma's(please don't tell her). Green beans are savory and Smokey..very good. Cole slaw was flavorful and fresh! Baked beans were ok, maybe canned?! Restaurant is very clean, very cute rustic atmosphere. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Service was quick too. Only complaint is the meatloaf was a special and sweet lady at front told us it was really good so we choose it instead of ribs and it came out with a tiny slice(2 inches by 2 inches) that was room temperature. Our plates were two choice plates and a little pricey and we feel the meat sizes served didn't match the price. Over all we do recommend this restaurant based on great food and service! read more

We had the food delivered by Door Dash. So, I can not say anything service or atmosphere. The food we ordered was just OK. The ribs were below average and the Burnt Ends were above average. I think both relied on the sauce for flavor and the meat itself was bland. The sides were also anticlimactic, they were boring with little flavor. I couldn't believe this was voted number one barbeque in Branson. I ordered beef brisket sandwich and fries . The fries were very tiny order but I guess it was a good thing because they were cold and hard . My friend ordered brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese . Two small pieces of brisket cold and very small portion of Mac n cheese . We spent 29$ and had to go eat elsewhere ! We won't be back! Food was good but reminded me of a BBQ version of McDonald's. Granted we had a group of 8 but one couple in our party ate after everyone else because their order was given to another party, so, service-wise maybe not so good. Went on a Monday night from a referral. Verified the restaurant was open and it was suppose to be. Arrived about 7pm or so and the parking lot was empty, lights were off, doors were locked and the parking lot looked as if it had not been open for a while (weeds, debris and cracks with weeds growing out of them). The brisket was smaller than the 1/2lb mentioned on the menu and the burnt ends were dry. We ordered an appetizer and received 1/2 and when the other half arrived it was burnt. I would say $78 for two for lunch was way too expensive and quality/quantity was poor. read more

There was lots of cars outside. That's a good sign, friendly staff. I thought this will be great. Prices was high enough...must be awesome bbq! BIG disappointment! Brisket was bone dry, chicken must have been cooked since morning. The portion of meat was small for the price. The fried okra and green beans was tasty and at least hot so we ate that and hubby had what few French fries they threw his way. I loved my ribs and actually liked the burnt ends but kinda felt it was like a roast beef burnt end and not off the brisket. Portions are small and the sides were average. Probably try another BBQ place in Branson next time. read more

Overall the food was really good. However, it took an absurd amount of time to get to us in line. There we're about 4 parties in front of us with two cashiers. It took each group so long to order. In fact, our order for 4 ppl was really quick, while the people who were in front of us at the other cashier didn't finish their order till we had already gotten our drinks and were seated. First of all - right when you walk in the door EVERY EMPLOYEE IS SMILING!!! How rare is that? Menu covers anything you could possibly want at a BBQ place. We had a hard time deciding but went with the 'off menu' special which was a brisket cheesesteak sandwich with a side. Sandwich was HUGE and cheese was overflowing nicely. The brisket was VERY tasty and had the perfect amount of smoke in it, add in some sautéed onions and green peppers and cover with the cheese - it's a little messy but oh so worth it. Hubby had French fries which were good but I went a little 'outside the box' and had the SMOKED Mac and cheese and the creamy texture with the smoky flavor was heavenly. On the side was a couple pickle chips and some spicy pickled onion slices which topped off the yum. If it was possible to give negative stars, I would do that. I ordered a "pulled" chicken sandwich, but in reality it was a snatched chicken sandwich. The meat was so tough & tasteless I thought I had covid! The bbq sauce was more like unflavored ketchup and the server gave "no service." I know this place has 4.6 star rating and I will have a better chance finding Jimmy Hoffa rather than understanding how this rating is realistic. This has to be one of the worst resturants I have ever been too. I am a psychologist and I do not go on vacations to fight with people. All I did was ask a staff member for a refund because the food took over an hour to come out and they had skipped over my wife and I. Her staff member instead of doing the right thing and getting the manager to issue a refund. Instead, she started to attempt to bait, gaslight, and attempt to make me angry by telling the manager we were making a disturbance by complaining for over twenty minutes. This place is very popular, we actually didn't get to eat there the first night because they ran out of food by 630. We came back the next day at 5pm. They were already out of brisket! The ribs were meaty, the burnt ends were delicious and the BBQ egg roll was awesome. My daughter got the BBQ nachos -the baked beans and loved them. My father in law got the smoked pork chop and raved about it. The service was speedy and our order came out hot. I like the sliced pickles and pickled onions they serve on the side of their BBQ. We had the Western Bacon Bison Burger (off the menu daily special). It was so delicious! I've never had a less than stellar experience and this one didn't disappoint. This was our first time dining at Big D's, but it certainly won't be our last!! I knew we were in for a good meal when the sign on the counter said, "Get your fat pants ready!" I asked if they had a gluten free menu & the cashier (in the "Feed me Brisket & tell me I'm pretty" T-Shirt said I could eat "ALL THE MEAT" & most of the sides & explained which ones I couldn't ! I hadn't had brisket for a long time! I've never had such good brisket & the "Pit Beans" (that have brisket in them & had been baked for days (!) we're the best I've ever eaten! The food was Delish! We purchased The Big D Pitmaster Feast and the brisket nachos, for our party of 5. We each ate our share until we were full and we had some left over to take to go. It's funny that we each had our choice of what we liked the best. Although the brisket was tender, along with the ribs, there was still a vote for the sausage. But the winner for the best smoke flavor was the chicken breast hands down. If they could get that same smoke flavor in the brisket with it's juicy tenderness they would be a strong contender for some of the best BBQ I've had. I love beans with meat in them and that was one of my side choices, which were great, but I could have passed on the Mac and cheese, it was kinda powder cheese tasting to me, yet it was a hit with the kids. The staff was friendly, although we seemed to have thrown them off when we asked for slices bread with our meat. Maybe it's a Texan thing! They did accommodate our request.
