The ribs were very tender and meaty and almost no fat. But - a little rub or even salt and pepper would've been nice. Definitely tasted better with BBQ sauce. 4 stars. But the sides - potato salad and coleslaw - 2 stars. My advice: Take the meat home (and don't forget the BBQ sauce) and use your own sides. read more

Big D's is real BBQ. Their meat is actually wood smoked and delicious My wife and I got a 1/2 chicken and pulled pork platters. With to-go boxes we had 3 additional meals with the leftovers. read more

Place food was okay. Went through drive thru and after waiting 10 minutes lady at window said that we had to call in order to use drive thru. FYI it was raining hard. We went to store and called in. No price given and I didn't ask (my fault). Get back in line wait another 10 minutes and get food. 95$ for food for 4 adults and 2 kinds. ( Raining harder now). Was too far into process to stop now. The food wasn't bad and inside was packed. People like it. SO maybe just a bad day. Food was Okay, customer service needs a lot of help and price was high. read more

Best BBQ we've had at a restaurant... we've traveled a lot, but could never find decent BBQ until now!!! Brisket was so tender and full of flavor. My husband had the Burnt Ends that were excellent! People were friendly even though they were all working their tails off... it was really busy... and the price was very reasonable! read more

This is great BBQ. The ribs are really fall off the bone. Served Memphis style with no sauce, which they don't need sauce, it would only hide the flavor of the ribs. They do have a variety of sauces if you perfer. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. I had baked beans and potato salad. Best meal we had in Branson. Highly recommend. read more

Came around 12:45 on a Tuesday. Not very busy which was great for us. The BBQ was seriously amazing! I had the pulled chicken sandwich with fries and there was SO much chicken on the sandwich, I just ended up taking it off the bun and enjoying the chicken as is My husband had the Big D sandwich with the Mac and cheese and was in love! All of it was soooo good. We will definitely be coming back here every time we are in town. read more

I had the brisket burnt ends plate & wife had a side of ribs. Help was nice. Restaurant clean enough. Your given only fork.. must ask for knife. Seemed overpriced. Brisket very fatty& too muck sauce. . I'll get ribs next time. Sides are very small, but oK for old folks. I'll probably go back, but it's not the best. Biggest gripe is $. We are leaving happy and full! The restaurant is off the main tourist part of Branson so leave the traffic on the strip behind and get on the red route to D's. We had burnt ends, a brisket sandwich, okra, Mac n cheese and beans. We weren't in love with the beans, a little sweet and gloppy for us, but the okra was excellent, hot, fresh, big pieces. The Mac n cheese is a total winner, great cheesy flavor and those lovely li crunchy burny parts in with all that creamy yumminess. We enjoyed the BBQ too, the meat was tender and tasty sauce. The restaurant is clean, has plenty of seating with lots of room between tables, and the people are very friendly and helpful. Service was fast, and it's the style where you order at the counter and have a table number for them to bring the food to you. We will definitely be back on our next Branson trip, I can't wait to try the ribs and I swear, I can already hear the Mac n cheese calling my name. Update- we stopped in Saturday for lunch, hubs stuck to his favorite brisket sandwich and fries, I tried the ribs, which were very good, they're baby backs, I personally prefer St Louis style ribs, but they were good and sweet daughter-in-law polished off the ones I took home. The Mac n cheese and okra were still the stuff of dreams.... soooo good. Can't wait to go back to Branson for more Big D's food! read more

Wow! I have eaten at countless BBQ places, as a big ole fat Texas boy. Let me tell you...this is the BEST brisket I've ever had at a restaurant. The ribs were amazing!! Wood smoke flavor and "fall off the bone tender. A half rack with 2 sides gives more than any of us (we were 3) could eat. Incredible food and worth a trip. The food over all was a C. The meats were a B. The sides were, beans a C, slaw and macaroni and cheese were a D. The atmosphere was not much to speak of. I don't like when you are given a tiny cup of BBQ sauce with a plate full of food. I want a bottle on the table. Definitely not $42 worth of food in quantity or quality. Best BBQ we have had in Branson. I ordered their feast to go. It included sliced brisket, ribs, link sausage, pulled pork, chicken breast, and two large sides. Absolutely 100% 5 STARS!!! This evening we went with twelve friends to try Big D's for the first time. The staff was absolutely professional and very pleasant. While there were many other customers in the restaurant our food was delivered quickly. This is some of the very best BBQ I have ever had (and I LOVE BBQ) in particular the brisket, it just melted in your mouth and was full of flavor. The prices were right on and portions were very generous. The sides were huge compared to those tiny little cups you get at most BBQ places. Another plus for me was that I always love it when I'm at a restaurant and I get to meet the owner of the establishment, he was pleasant and engaging, making his rounds to all of the patrons. Our family entered Big D's BBQ with trepidation last night because we had never darkened their doorstep before and we had just left the Polar Express train (we were a party of 21) both hungry & excited to top off our holiday outing with a great meal. We we're overjoyed to find out that this restaurant had been kind enough to allow us to make a reservation for such a large party on Saturday night in Branson! We had been turned down by several of their competitors in our quest to find a good place to eat. One aspect of B D's BBQ that we liked prior to trying their cuisine was the fact that they are not a franchise and therefore are more likely to be friendly and accommodating. Turns out that the assumption that they would be friendly and have a cordial attitude was an accurate assessment! The atmosphere was excellent and the food was even better! Delicious meats and outstanding sides were the order of the day. No idea what their desserts were like because we were all so stuffed we couldn't imagine eating a slice of pie or cheesecake. This place makes one side that outshines all the rest IMHO. That side is the pickled onions! Tangy and delicious and they pair so well with the BBQ! In town for softball tournament and was not leaving without having bbq. The brisket sandwich was very very filling and the meat was fall apart tender. Husband had smoked sausage and he said the flavor was good also. They also served a spicy pickled onion with the meal. My son got one of the desserts which was a fried pie hot. Yum yum! My wife got the ribs which were five meaty bones and I got the sausage (7 slices) and brisket (two small slices) combo. She really enjoyed hers but both of my meats were cold. Later found out that I had gotten the last of both meats. I won't be going back. read more
