I don't think words can truly explain how grateful I am for the team over at the Placerville Big O Tires location. Gam, John and Justin were OUTSTANDING in making sure that we were taken care of on two occasions. In July, we had a rental car from Enterprise and Enterprise notified us we had to take the car in for an oil change. It was strange on their part but we were happy to get it in. John got us in immediately and turned it around with his team in no time. On a second occasion, our other car started to have a low tire and I called Gam in the morning on a Saturday and he told me Justin was available right away to put a plug in the tire. Justin turned it around in no time, tested everything and made sure we were back on track within an 45 minutes to an hour. Gam and John also helped me occupy my 20 month old daughter with some coloring pieces and made us feel right at home. I'm so grateful for this organization and these three gentlemen went above and beyond to ease my stress and burdons with juggling our various car issues we've had over the last month. Yesterday, I blew a tire and had to be towed to the nearest tire shop. Thankfully, that location was the Big O Tires on Placerville Drive. I was treated so kindly by the guys in the shop, and they worked quickly to order my tire so it would be there the next day. All of the guys were incredibly nice, but Toby won bonus points for going the extra mile with his positive attitude and incredible customer service. As I waited to be picked up that evening, I saw them welcome and treat their customers like they were friends who had known each other for years. It's easy to see why they get repeat business and are beloved by customers. After they put on my tire, they let me pay over the phone - and then delivered it to my work for me! If I ever need a new tire, I'll be going here first. I was blown away by how well I was treated, and I really appreciated their efforts to make it easy for me to get my car up and running again. I had a really remarkable experience with this team. Had a blowout on Highway 50. Barely made it to the off ramp, and there was Big O's. They did not have my tire in stock (Audi S5...a rare tire in the area). The manager (maybe Mike Malane?), called 4 different stores to find me the tire, reserved it for me, then proceeded to get a manual jack and put my donut spare on. The manager of the shop did it all because he did not have an open slot in a bay to put it on. Gave me advice on how to treat driving on the donut. , I got to Folsom (the other tire shop), and I was on the road in 2 hours. I tried to pay Mike, but he wouldn't take it. This guy saved my butt...for no other reason than caring about someone who really needed help. If you are ever looking for a tire shop with integrity, this is the place. read more

I went to this location after I had multiple bad experiences at other Big O locations. I assumed all locations are owned by the same owner/company and I was ready to stop going to Big O all together. As a last attempt to get my warrantied tires replaced and get my vehicle in good driving condition I stopped by this Location for my first time to see if it would be a better experience than I had with other stores in the past. After talking to the manager I found out that not all locations are owned by the same people and this location is not connected to the Cameron Park location. I was very pleased with the results and the work that was performed. So if you've had a bad experience with other locations I urge you to give the Placerville Location a chance. read more

I was so pleased with the service provided by all the employees at this facility compared to any other location I have previously had service done. Specifically, the gentleman Jesse, an employee of Big O in Placerville, was extremely helpful, understanding, and was able to give me knowledge that a 26 year old woman, whom knows nothing about vehicles, could understand, but Jesse allowed me to understand the problem and fix the problem the best possible way. He had great respectful manners and the other employees as well greeted me very professionally. I knew I needed new tires and possibly brakes. Too my surprise the guys at Big O (Dan and Anthony) also discovered my rack and pinion was cracked and leaking. I will be honest I know absolutely nothing about cars. I put my total trust in these two men to do the right thing. I did not realize how unsafe my car was that I have been driving daily up and down highway 50. They went above and beyond in their attention to detail, explaining everything to me so I could understand what needed to be done. I am internally grateful for Big O Tires. I got a flat tire on my way to work at a job that requires me to have a vehicle. Staff was beyond friendly and offered to drive me to work so that I didn't miss any hours. They had let me know there was a nail in my tire and it would be about $20 to repair, I agreed. As it turns out, there were nails in TWO of my tires. They informed me of this but were nice enough to fix both and still only charge the $20 I had originally agreed to. They also picked me up from work and brought me back in when my car was ready for pickup. There were three employees I interacted with, all of whom knew exactly what they were doing and were extremely friendly. I would recommend Big O Tires in Placerville to everyone! read more

Yesterday I noticed my front left tire was low on air and found out I had ran over a huge screw. So dropped it off after lunch at big o tires and was quoted it would be $35 to fix. This was an expense I had planned on and can think of several ways I'd rather spend 35 bucks but what are you gonna do. Got off work at 5pm got dropped off to pick up my car and as I reached for my wallet I was handed my keys and was told no charge and have a nice evening. WHAT! I think my response was are you serious! That made my day and was totally unexpected for I bought my tires from another tire store which makes this even more impressive. I've been a customer of this Big O location for many years and they continue to give me great service. Recently, my son was leaving for college out of state and I had to get new brakes all around the van. Edwin in the gang made it a point to get this done before he left but ran into a big issue at the last minute. it was a part they couldn't get until my son was scheduled to leave, so they went to an auto dismantler business in rancho Cordova at 6 a.m. in the morning, brought it to the Placerville location, installed the new hub and had it done a half an hour before my son was slated to leave for college. I just wanted to say that Michael Hostetler at Big O was great. He was so attentive and great customer service skills. I got a great deal on tires but something that is better, I was treated with so much kindness. They are going to have my business from now on. He took the time to explain everything more than once. Went in 2 weeks or so ago on a Saturday to have my tire repaired and while I was waiting they had told me the tire that they were repairing was good but upon inspection the 2 rear tires were showing cord and needed to be replaced with an alignment. They made me a good deal for everything and had me in/out in about an hour. I highly recommend this place for their service and attention to detail. Ive never had a bad experience here, and was shocked by all the bad reviews, I bought new tires for my Audi on tire rack and brought them in to be mounted and balanced, super cheap and fast. Then I got a leak in one of my tires, went in again to pay for repair service, the patched it for free... Been great every-time I went. Thanks read more
