Been coming to Bills for a long time but over the last few years less often. The menu selection is great but for the price I usually end up going elsewhere. The 2 egg plate ($10.50) comes with your choice of hash browns or potatoes and toast. If you add another protein it's an additional $7. For breakfast it's getting a bit too pricey. Add coffee and it's another $3.75. I still like Bills but will reserve it for times when out of town visitors need a solid breakfast. read more

Went here after I passed my DMV exam (YAY)! Bills Cafe is an all-american spot, comes with all the vibes of an americana style cafe. We ordered the eggs benedict, sausages, and waffles. The food was very tasteful and The coffee kept on coming, so it was a great fix for my stressful morning drive. The service was fast, but the serving was actually quite small considering the vibe of the place, I expected it to be a bit of a bigger serving--but it's definitely an appropriate serving, however no take home food. I've been to multiple Bill's locations and this one is as consistent as the rest. We shared a nutella French toast and a sausage breakfast burrito. Both were great and had the Bill's taste that we expected. Homey, diner-like food. I do wish the breakfast burrito had more flavor to it since we had to ask for extra salsa to drown it in, which also wasn't the most flavorful. Was looking for a dog friendly brunch place in Pleasanton and am so glad to have found this. While we waited for our table about half an hour, I walked my dog at the next door park which is great. There is plenty of parking in the front and side streets and the text service makes it easy to track wait times. Between me and my mom we shared Eggs Benedict and pancakes. Quality of food was good. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Bay Area! It's always crowded on the weekend, but I've never had to wait too long. The menu is endless and it has just about everything you could crave for breakfast. The amount of food is large and that's one of my favorite things about this place. I usually got the loaded omelet or French toast/pancakes. The drink options are great and you can't go wrong with a nice alcoholic beverage for brunch. We were at the point of hunger, where waiting was not an option. When I went in to ask the gal at the front desk, she said to sit inside was a 45 min wait, OR patio seating with no wait. Patio seating it was! I could see why no one wanted the patio because it was frigid outside. We were in shorts lol. Whatever, we warmed up as we ate. What I ordered: DENVER OMELETTE W/ HASH BROWNS: First of all, the portions are pretty massive. I ate half of everything on my plate and saved the rest for dinner. I'm a hash brown girl, and these hash browns did not disappoint. Crispy and delicious! I love a good Denver omelette, and this one was on point. Love the medley of veggies. I did ask for no cheese though because of my lactose issues. Our waiter was so nice, and kept coming by to refill our drinks. A+++ service. I will be back if I'm in the area again, post-race or not. What a delightful experience I had visiting this Cafe for brunch today!! The best place benedict lovers can be at! My first time here and since it was a weekend, I expected some wait time...But!! They have really considered customer preferences n convenience and planned the experience from start to finish. The wait list system is pretty good, you check in outside at the door so there's no unnecessary crowd lingering at the entrance. They have seating for the folks waiting, so no waiting in the sun. The wait list is integrated with Yelp, so yelpers can get added to the waitlist from the app too. Talking about the food now, I had heard about their popular crab cake benedict and definitely was my preferred choice. No regrets, it was just perfect. They had a special menu of additional mimosa options and although the watermelon mixed with strawberry ended up being a little sour, while combined with the salt and paprika on the rim added a perfectly enjoyable blend. California benedict compared to the crab cake benedict didn't feel that great, but I would have loved it otherwise. Service is fairly fast, they've made waiting very efficient compared to the other similar cafe around. Wow is this place good! You can tell by the line of people waiting to be seated. To be fair it was on a Sunday at lunch time. Thankfully I spotted 2 bar stools at the bar and they could seat me right away. The bartender was extremely attentive and I could order anything on the regular menu. Very attentive with drinks to start and gave us time to to peruse the menu (but did check in and not forget about us). My friend and I went pretty basic with the 2 eggs any style, choice of sausage, toast and hash browns (or potatoes). Her husband had a mini Denver omelette with potatoes. Our food came out super quick and for me was plenty, glad I didn't order a huge breakfast I couldn't finish. I'd consider this a good solid breakfast, nothing fancy. Now I can't speak of other choices on the menu, maybe the pancakes or French toast are a little bit more upscale. But what I will say is my eggs (over easy) were cooked just right, the hash browns delish... and I couldn't quite finish the chicken sausage-big! I had some sourdough toast, and I'd say I was pretty full. I think my breakfast was around 10-11 dollars, I also had a cup of tea. But I felt very reasonable and good. Upon receiving our drinks, we requested waters.. Before we could finish our request, he walked away literally in mid sentence... He came back with 1 lukewarm glass of water and slammed it on the table and quickly walked away. When he came to take our food waters, we requested 3 more glasses of water cause there's 4 of us and a glass of sprite. I had to ask for my sprite 3 times. After 10 minutes, he finally came back with 3 glasses of water and slammed each glass on the table with such a sour face. When our food came, It was incomplete. They served Bills original skillet without an english muffin. My father in law asked for his english muffin and Felipe replied with a look of agitation and replied; "your muffin will come when it's done" and quickly walked away. Never have I experienced such horrible customer service before Felipe! It's a pity, this experience has made me never want to go back to Bill's. I have been a faithful customer for over 10 years. The tortillas chips did not seem to be cooked in any Type of sauce, large pieces of onion that didn't make sense, and olives and jalapeños that made this way to briny and hot!
