I love a good reuben sandwich and this place has a great one. It's big and flavorful and you won't leave hungry! The service I had was great and attentive. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that the interior of the restaurant is showing its age and needs some TLC.

Driven by it a zillion times and finally gave it a try. Got the $15 lunch burger and it was OK. The service was good and the venue was a funky roadhouse vibe. Overall it was just OK.

Service was fantastic. Sam was our server. Very attentive and oh so personable. Also we ordered the pot roast. Was not disappointed. Very juicy moist and satisfying. The baked potato was cooked to perfection. Would definitely come here again. The peanuts on the floor gives it a real authentic feel.

I was in Vancouver on business for four nights and tried fancy, expensive restaurants. Billygan's was my best experience! I sat in the bar and enjoyed a delicious Tom Collins. Ordered the lemon pepper salmon with baked potato and steamed broccoli. It all came out super hot and fresh and delicious!! Tender, crispy crust salmon, fluffy baked potato with perfect coarse-salted skin, and a very very generous side of broccoli! Also loved the warm honey roll with butter. Special shout out to my server, Audrey, who was a delight! Kind and attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

This place is absolutely amazing, this nostalgic place takes you back in time. As you can see from one of the pictures, they have a menu with a telephone at every table although they don't work it's a really cool vibe. To be able to take your kids or grandkids there and show them what it used to be like when we were young.. The staff was amazing very polite, very helpful with the menu something you don't always get in today's restaurant experience. I happened upon this place as I was driving through to go pick up a load further north in Washington state. I would much rather stop and eat here at Dad's. Than to spend my money at some corporation that feeds you crap. Anytime in my adventures across the country if I'm able to stop at a family owned restaurant you bet I will be there. The food was great, service was with gratitude! I suggest you try the jalapeño stuffed tots. They were really good. So if you happen through this small little town in Washington state, I think this is the place you'd wanna stop! Enjoy!!!

Kind of a divey place, they give you a bowl of nuts and complimentary rolls with honey butter, so good! I wish they brought more! But the seating areas are dimly lit, and we didn't get any plates for the bread. The prime rib and mashed potatoes tasted great, I was pleased with the 8oz portion. My husband ordered the New York steak and it was a little overcooked, but it still tasted good and the baked potato was good too. Good service from our waitress, I'd try it again, knowing it's by no means a fancy place but has good steak at a reasonable price.

Great server and I was amazed at how fast our food came out! The place was packed on a Wednesday evening at 7pm. My son ordered chicken strips and I got the 6oz steak. It was done perfectly! My son loves throwing his peanut shells on the ground

Not impressed. Slow service, unpresentable plates and sticky tables. This little Texas Roadhouse wannabe missed the mark.

They enjoy their hanging lights cause in the single bathroom in the bar, they have 4 lamps and I was like wow. Service was great! Very informative and attentive. We never needed to look for her. We went with her suggestion to share everything and that made the experience more fun. I loved the truffle mac and cheese, fried Brie cubes, and the scallop yakitori. The scallops are cute little guys and very tasty. All the skewers were delicious. I think next time I would skip the beef cheek poutine. The beef cheek was the best part and the other ingredients were just so so. Dessert? We got the chocolate pot de creme and chocolate lava cake. If you're just getting one, I'd recommend the chocolate lava cake. There are a lot of fun elements on the plate, great for sharing!

I am disabled and had a hard time fighting somewhere to park. Once we got in, we were greeted by a very friendly staff. We were sat almost immediately, which was fantastic. The place was pretty full. I ordered Arnold Palmer to drink. It may not seem that big a deal but these were the most delicious I've ever had. For me the lemonade usually has a taste of a dirty mop bucket. But this was so clean and fresh. We started with an order of calamari. Very delicious. It was not chewy or Oil soaked. Very clean very tasty. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was good. For dinner I had the shrimp and grits. It came with a sausage, pasty type stuff, but I had it delivered on the side. This was my best decision of the night. I wasn't crazy about the flavor. But the shrimp and grits were fantastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the grits were very flavorful. My wife had the Parmesan crusted Sole. It was so good. The outsides were crispy with the cheese, but the insides were moist and flaky. Absolutely delicious. It also came on a bed of rice. It was perfect. The only drawback to my evening was the fact the bus boys kept trying to take our food off the table before we were done eating. I had to stop one guy from taking a plate. They was still half full of food. The place is very loud if you're looking for a quiet evenings, probably is not a good choice. Very hard edge noisy. If you're in the area, this is probably an OK choice. The food service were good.

Most customers naturally assume a charge of that size is a gratuity for the staff who provided the service. Structuring it otherwise creates a misleading impression and lacks the transparency I expect from a high-end restaurant. I have no issue paying for excellent food, service, or even higher menu prices. What I object to is a pricing practice that appears designed to make customers believe they are rewarding the servers when they are not. Trust is a critical part of any fine dining experience, and this policy has completely eroded mine. Because of it, I will never return to El Gaucho.

We arrived right at 12 p.m., and many buffet items were already empty or close to empty -- smoked salmon, oysters, salad plates, and several other dishes. We waited thinking the food would be quickly replenished, but restocking was consistently slow throughout the entire meal. Even after multiple reminders, they would only bring out very small amounts at a time despite long lines of guests waiting. To their credit, the ambiance was nice. The Mother's Day decorations, live music, and small bracelet gift were thoughtful touches. However, the food quality and service simply did not justify the cost. At $100 per person plus service fees (close to $600 total excluding tips for our group of four), we expected a much more organized and well-stocked brunch experience. The most surprising part was that a steakhouse buffet didn't even include steak. Sadly, this experience made us question whether we'd return for their regular dining service.

I recommend the asada for two, though honestly it's probably enough for three. It's a lot, but everything is delicious. We ordered one of the daily specials, a beef tartare with arbol and peanut crunch, and were blown away. The best tartare I've ever had. On our first visit we had a reservation and were seated at a table. After ordering, patrons are served a complimentary leek soup in an espresso size cup. I wish it were on the menu because it is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The flavor is incredibly rich! We ordered the clam chowder, halibut, maple glazed carrots and tres leches cake. The clam chowder's presentation was nicely done but nothing special in taste. It came so highly recommended on Reddit and many other diners ordered it but neither my party nor I cared for it. The halibut was good but didn't stand out and the maple glazed carrots weren't to my taste. What completely won us over was the tres leches cake. It is one of the most delicious and most memorable desserts we've ever had. Every layer complemented the next perfectly creating an incredibly balanced dessert that wasn't overly sweet with different textures. We couldn't stop talking about it afterward. It was one of the reasons we decided to give the restaurant a second shot. After our meal I mentioned to our server that we weren't sure if we'd ordered the right dishes since we weren't thrilled with the food especially with how popular the restaurant is. He explained that it's primarily an Argentinian steakhouse and suggested returning to try the meat dishes. On our second visit we arrived at opening without a reservation. There was plenty of seating but since we didn't have a reservation we were seated at the bar. I didn't mind seated at the bar but the bar stools were extremely uncomfortable, almost torturous. Unfortunately, it was too hot to sit outside. Midway through dinner a machine, maybe a dishwasher, was turned on behind the bar. It was loud and the vibrations could be felt. This time we ordered the beet salad, cheese empanada, beef empanada, two filet mignons and the lamb shoulder. The beet salad was a disappointment. It consisted of large overly soft chunks of beets with what tasted like a basic grocery store salad dressing. For a restaurant of this caliber I expected more. Neither of us enjoyed the cheese empanada but we both liked the beef empanada. We also ordered two filet mignons cooked the same way. Both arrived more done than requested and one way more overcooked than the other. They were also on the salty side, though both were very tender. The lamb shoulder, which our server had already warned us about before we ordered, ended up being dry and tough. The chimichurri served alongside the savory dishes was also heavier on onions than I prefer. Overall, the service was excellent, and the complimentary leek soup and tres leches cake were truly outstanding. Unfortunately, despite two visits, the main dishes we ordered didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation for us.
