We used to love coming here, great food, portions and prices; however, last night we were so disappointed. Service was great, but food mediocre, portions smaller and increased prices. We met friends for dinner around 6pm. We like this place because of the casual atmosphere, complimentary peanuts and sweet rolls with honey butter and friendly, attentive service. Our table ordered ribeye steaks, entree salads, soup, and sandwiches. I ordered the entree Caesar salad with blackened salmon. It wasn't as large as I expected for the $20.49 price tag. My salmon filet was about 3 oz. Definitely not a dinner portion. Not only was the salmon filet super small, but overcooked and dry as well. This is a usual order for me at many different restaurants and by far this portion was the least impressive. So disappointing. My husband ordered the ribeye steak with fries and side salad for $35.99. He was so excited because we've had steaks here in the past and they were delicious. This time the steak was super thin, like maybe a quarter inch thick. So strange. Plus he ordered it medium rare, and it was more on the medium side. I'm guessing it's difficult to cook a steak that thin to medium rare?! He also ordered two pints of Black Butte Porter beers. They were $5.75 each...probably the only items on our bill priced reasonably. Overall a disappointing experience. Our server was great. He kept our beverages filled, got our orders right and kept the complimentary rolls coming. Probably won't return anytime soon.

I love a good reuben sandwich and this place has a great one. It's big and flavorful and you won't leave hungry! The service I had was great and attentive. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that the interior of the restaurant is showing its age and needs some TLC.

Driven by it a zillion times and finally gave it a try. Got the $15 lunch burger and it was OK. The service was good and the venue was a funky roadhouse vibe. Overall it was just OK.

Service was fantastic. Sam was our server. Very attentive and oh so personable. Also we ordered the pot roast. Was not disappointed. Very juicy moist and satisfying. The baked potato was cooked to perfection. Would definitely come here again. The peanuts on the floor gives it a real authentic feel.

This place is absolutely amazing, this nostalgic place takes you back in time. As you can see from one of the pictures, they have a menu with a telephone at every table although they don't work it's a really cool vibe. To be able to take your kids or grandkids there and show them what it used to be like when we were young.. The staff was amazing very polite, very helpful with the menu something you don't always get in today's restaurant experience. I happened upon this place as I was driving through to go pick up a load further north in Washington state. I would much rather stop and eat here at Dad's. Than to spend my money at some corporation that feeds you crap. Anytime in my adventures across the country if I'm able to stop at a family owned restaurant you bet I will be there. The food was great, service was with gratitude! I suggest you try the jalapeño stuffed tots. They were really good. So if you happen through this small little town in Washington state, I think this is the place you'd wanna stop! Enjoy!!!

Not impressed. Slow service, unpresentable plates and sticky tables. This little Texas Roadhouse wannabe missed the mark.

The setting on the water is beautiful, the staff has always been good, and the drinks make it feel like a nice night out. That said, the prices are getting pretty high, and I was disappointed with the seafood quality this time. For being this close to the ocean, I expected it to taste noticeably fresher. I've honestly had fresher oysters in Idaho. We also ordered the seafood sampler, so we got to try a good portion of what they had available from the market, and nothing really stood out. The view, service, and drinks are what keep this at 4 stars for me. If you took those away and judged it only on the seafood for the price, I'd probably be closer to 2/5.

From the moment we walked in, the personal touches were amazing. They had personalized our menu, left a signed congratulations card on our table, and even scattered rose petals across the tablecloth. It made an already special night feel truly unforgettable. Our waiter, Scott, was fantastic and funny--he made the entire evening so memorable! Pro tip: Do yourself a favor and specifically ask for Scott when you make your reservation. We ordered from the Prime Hour menu, which is an absolute bargain. You get to choose between soup or salad, two different entrees, and two different desserts. We both went with the seafood Tagliatelle, and wow. It was so rich, generously loaded with halibut, scallops, shrimp, and prosciutto in an incredible lemon pasta sauce. Note for future diners: They do automatically include a 20% service charge on the bill. However, Scott's service was so exceptional that we happily tipped extra on top of it. Save your pennies, do yourself a favor, and book a table ASAP. You won't regret it!

Parking was a little tricky for first timers. Most of the parking is street parking but there in some underground parking available. My friends ordered the filet mignon while I ordered the Sirloin steak medium rare with grilled prawns. We shared the sauteed mushrooms and the crab mac and cheddar cheese. My steak was very good though the outside was a little crispier than I like it. I have eaten Argentinian steak before at another restaurant so i guess this is how it is cooked in Argentina. The mac and cheese was very good though the macaroni noodles seem way large. Service was impeccable and you do get what you pay. Noise level was moderate.

Everything we ordered and received was delectable, I especially enjoyed the cauliflower soup. The beef tartare was a special for the night and it came with warm Brazilian cheese balls, I don't know how often they make this but I would not skip it if it was available again. We did order the Asado Argentino for two but I think next time, we will order something else. Not that it was too "adventurous" for us, but simply, not everything was to our liking and I'd rather order one thing I know I'd like. The potatoes were so dang good, the only thing I'd say is, I wish the sauce was on the side. We had leftovers but decided to eat the rest of the potatoes in the restaurant because we knew it would get soggy overnight. My only complaint is that the rum mousse was too strong on the cake and I couldn't eat any of it, but I personally just don't enjoy any alcohol in general. It was my first time here, but I think would go again, though a good friend of ours said that Ox has become quite overpriced for what it is and it didn't used to be this way. Honestly everything was seasoned well and the effort and variety on the menu was enough that I think it's worth it to go at least once.
