I've been to this location before and never found anything egregious about the food or service. It is your generic Roadhouse type steak house. the rolls with orange butter are great. You cant really mess that up. This visit was sub par. not a horrible experience, just slightly worse than "meh". Which is about how I would explain the service. I went with my wife and two kids under 4. Not a single plate or cup was taken from the table until right before the bill despite having two baskets of bread and an appetizer plate crowding the table. Speaking of the appetizer, we got the onion rings. They were very good, but at $6.99 for six onion rings, it seemed pretty expensive. I mean, come on, more than a dollar per onion ring? The Cozumel Chicken Salad was a good taco salad. The fried tortilla was light and crunchy and there was plenty of finely shredded lettuce. Weirdly absent from a taco salad was any kind of beans. When I asked the server, she said that it used to be served on top of chili, but they just changed the menu and they no longer have the chili. Seems weird that they wouldn't just crack open a can of pinto beans. Everything else was fine. Not sure I'll go back. read more

Went to Billygan's tonight for dinner and I was very disappointed. I ordered a simple mushroom burger, I let them know that I wanted it well done. When I got my meal the burger was raw in the middle. They brought me another burger and it was so hard that it was really hard to eat because it was extremely crunchy. I would not recommend this place. I went there because it is always busy but that was my mistake and I will not return. Service was amazing for they don't know how to cook well done without it being a hockey puck. read more

We celebrated my 60th Birthday last night at Billygan's and was pleasantly surprised by the staff and service we received. Hostess was friendly and greeted us after not really knowing where we needed to be to be seated, hostess stand is a bit away from the front door. Place was was not really busy, so we got seated right away, from the dining room appearance I'm guessing I know why it wasn't very busy, it could use a deep cleaning and some updating of the decor. They certainly shined in customer service though, our server Donovan was outstanding, he never forgot anything, was always prompt in bringing what ever was needed. We chose to split a full order of babyback ribs, the order was split on two plates instead of just bringing an extra plate as most establishments do, we did add a baked potato and dinner salad as sides, they were placed and presented on the second plate just like we had ordered two full dinners. We enjoyed our meal last night and wanted to give Donovan a big thank you for your excellent service and hope your manager recognizes that they have a great employee working for them. read more

Throwing the peanut shells on the floor was the highlight of my adventure here. Food was average quality, nothing really bad or great about it. Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and attentive. It's better then Applebees for sure, but not as good as Ruby Tuesday. I have driven by Billygan's dozens of times on my way to Seattle but took the opportunity to try it out with the family. Never underestimate the amusement kids can get with throwing peanut shells on the floor. I personally liked the decor - lots of wood with fireplaces. We all shared Caesar salads, NY strip steak, 10oz prime rib, kid's ribs, and kid's mac&cheese. The Steak and prime rib were very tender, flavorful, and cooked as ordered. My kid's ribs fell apart from the bone and the sauce was good. Quite different experience than the more "Famous" BBQ place we went the following night. The mac&cheese was pretty bland, but then again that is how kids tend to like food. It was the only item that went unfinished. Good selection of beers. In the end, it was better food for less cost than our following night's experience. read more

I'm giving it 2 stars because in the past they have been decent on their burgers. Recently we went and had the 6oz ribeye and post roast. The steak was the size of a burger, my son ate it in 3 bites, stayed hungry. The potroast and the mashed potatoes were dry, cold, hard and tasteless, macaroni and cheese was horrible, no flavor. I was so disappointed. They didn't charge us for a plate as a courtesy, but even 20 bucks for that meal was too much. We went to Burger King after we left. read more

Grabbed takeout lunch for my husband and myself. I got the tenders basket and he wanted a bacon cheeseburger. Everything was cooked wonderfully and very delicious. Reasonably priced, $39. We got a large portion of chicken tenders, a burger, two sides of fries, a Ceasar salad and two drinks to go. The host staff was very friendly. Ask for the rolls to take home too. I'm reviewing Billygans not as a 5 star restaurant but for what it is: a bar restaurant with tvs for sports and snack type food. A roadhouse! Loved it! We went last night to watch our Eagles play the Giants on Monday Night Football. We sat at the bar and Mikhayla was our waitress. She was excellent! We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly. She let us take our time with the menu as we were there to watch the game. They had bowls of peanuts and you could just drop the shells in the floor. Great! We ordered and I got the chicken tortilla soup along with the chicken Caesar wrap. Both excellent! My guy had the taco salad and he loved it. This is definitely a locals joint and the locals are decent people and very friendly. All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend it! The fact that the Eagles beat the Giants was icing on the cake. Kudos to Billygans!! read more

Billygan's Roadhouse is really cool! It's a bit of a hole in the wall and kind of a local thing, but definitely worth visiting if you are out around these parts. I remember coming to this restaurant years ago and it being good. So today I chose to bring my family here for lunch. I ordered the club sandwich and fries, my girlfriend and son ordered appetizer sampler platters. My club sandwich was moderately tasty, but the french fries were not good at all. I wouldn't quite call them soggy, but they were not crunchy. On the appetizer samplers, the only item that had any mentionable flavor were the mozzarella sticks. The ribs, wings, nachos, and onion rings were without a doubt not worth what I paid for them. I will not be going back to this restaurant. When I first walked in, the restaurant had a weird smell and was a bit gloomy. For a split second I thought about turning around and going somewhere else. But the memories of what the food used to taste like led to a commitment to proceed. I should have went with my first thought. read more

First of all the bread they give you I could have eaten just that....Soooo light, warm and soft not to mention absolutely delicious. My husband had the chicken strips and I had the grilled chicken. Wow, what is happening? We have been coming here for 14 years. The current management decisions to "improve" have been anything but that. Food=freezer section of the grocery store, drinks=bad premixed cocktails. So upset. Food terrible, drinks poor. We were leaving at 7:45 pm and the place was empty. You can't cheap out on the food and drinks and think the consumer is stupid. This was worst than Applebee's next door. At least at Applebee's the drinks are good. Haven't came here since I was really young. It was a great environment with the unlimited peanuts and bread! The server was nothing but a pleasure to have at our table as well. The only thing I have to criticize is the blooming onion, not the greatest and quite soggy at the bottom. Been bringing the family here for a couple years. We absolutely love this place. The service is incredibly fast, even on a busy night. My wife and I and our kids usually order the same thing so I can't speak for much else besides the steaks and burgers but those are always cooked to perfection! The rolls are always hot and the honey butter is sooo good! This is a great place to hang out, reconnect from a busy week and eat great food. Throwing peanut shells on the floor is an added bonus :) My only suggestion would be to add more beer options and maybe rotate different breweries/styles to accommodate the steak choices... read more

Good prime rib. Everyone in our group is older and we all asked to split our meals. The waitress was fine with that. We got the larger portion of prime rib and it was plenty for both of us. Wow! My wife and I dine out frequently. We had eaten here years ago, and I recalled it being pretty good, so we decided to give it a try since we were in the area. We should've looked at Yelp before stopping. The place was busy and very noisy. We sat for awhile and finally the waitress ran by. She apologized and grabbed some drinks to start. Same thing after we decided what to order, she finally ran by and apologized for keeping us waiting. Took our order and the next time we saw her was when I flagged her down mid sprint back to the kitchen to refill my drink. She didn't refill my wife's water at the same time, which needed to be filed. Then she ran by and dropped off our bill. There are many other things that I could rant about but I'm not going to waste any more of my time. Don't waste your time here either. This place used to be a great place to go, great service and great food. Several times in the past couple of months we have been given food that was not the way it was ordered. Twice, I have asked for it to be redone, both times i spoke to the manager on duty and I was made to feel like I was responsible for the mistakes made by the person taking the order and/or the kitchen staff. Everyone makes mistakes, but please don't tell me that I am responsible for making sure that your wait staff know what is on the menu or that I am responsible for what is put on a plate by the kitchen staff. A simple I'm sorry, let's make it right goes a long way. I don't want to pay 20 dollars or more for a meal that is not what I ordered or wasn't fixed correctly. Perhaps training for the manager would be helpful. read more

Neat atmosphere - dim lit, lots of cool signage, open and roomey, peanut shells on the ground kind of place! Food was pretty good - I had the Gaucho Burger (jalepenos) which was pretty yummy. I just wanted an average Steak dinner on a Thursday night at 7:15. After waiting for 15 minutes for water we got our meals slowly... Typical Roadhouse salad and roll. My Rib Eye was over salted. I completely forgot that place is not good. we came here with high hopes. the service is horrible, I've only seen our waitress to take our drink order and dinner order. that's it, I had to flag down another employee for help. the food is very low quality and my meat was dry. so dry I smashed it with my fingers and I didn't get any moodiness at all, it made my mouth dry just chewing it. every item we ordered was disgusting. kids had kids meals I ordered chicken strips, wife had a spicy chicken sandwich. and we also ordered the ultimate onion (blooming onion). which was bland and not worth the money or energy to try and eat it.
