Cafe Sweet has been in my Yelp list for a while. Finally, I stopped by. The parking lot was convenient. It is shared with other businesses, but I didn't have any problem The cafe is a small family owned business. It was clean and organized with indoor seating. It has inviting and relaxing vibes. The menu includes; various assortment of tea, milk tea, three color dessert, smoothies, matcha, fruit tea, coffee, and espresso. In addition to tea cakes and muffins. They offer also some savory snacks. The cafe was clean. The young lady who received our order, was very nice and friendly. They had an offer to buy two drinks and get the third free. So, we ordered the following; -Mango Strawberry Smoothie 5/5 The tropical flavor of mango mixed with sweet strawberry gave the drink creamy flavor and velvety texture. It was heavenly. - Strawberry Matcha 5/5 The drink was perfectly sweetened and refreshing. Then, we found out that if you buy six items from the bakery, you get the seventh free. We ordered the following from the bakery; - 3 carrot Tea Cakes 5/5 I really enjoyed this carrot tea cake. It had coconut and raisins. The texture was incredibly soft and rich in flavor. It's a must try! - 1 apple cinnamon Tea cakes 5/5 - 2 Almond Tea cake 5/5 - Chocolate Muffin 5/5 We enjoyed our drinks and the fresh tea cakes and muffins. This cafe is a hidden gem in Arcadia. Comfortable and cute cafe located in a small plaza in Arcadia, Cafe Sweets has it all--noodles, pastries, snacks, drinks, and cute, well-kept fish tanks to look at while you wait for your order. We ordered a mango smoothie, a camelia milk tea, and hojicha latte. The milk tea was great, just the right sweetness at 75%. The hojicha was so good! 50-75% recommended. The smoothie was lacking flavor for me, so I wouldn't order it again. It's a newer restaurant, with great promotional deals right now to check out. There's also tons of seating! This might be my new go to spot in the city! Cafe Sweets is tucked away in an older plaza but is such a hidden gem. Dirty Matcha: wish the matcha to espresso ratio was a bit better but great overall Crème Brûlée Latte: good but a bit too sweet, I would lower the sweetness Crème Brûlée Matcha: the cream was delish, again a bit too sweet for me (ordered regular) They are having a buy two drinks get one free right now. The pricing is great, especially with the free drink. I also appreciate that they had an allergy warning by the door. Will be back to try the food! read more

Not sure why this place doesn't come up when you search boba but I enjoyed every boba drink I got here. They were so nice when I came and told them that it was my first time there, they offered to let me try one of their baked goods and so I tried the chocolate muffin and it was so good. The almond tea cakes were so delicate and refreshing to eat. The sweetness of the drinks were also perfect (I get mine half sweet). Very quiet in there, so good for studying. I came by myself on a Saturday morning and it was surprisingly quiet -- not many people there, which made it a chill spot to sit and enjoy everything. The outside environment of the café looks a little dreary and could loo, but don't let that fool you -- the drinks and desserts are solid. I took advantage of their buy 2, get 1 free drink deal and tried the Hojicha Latte, Strawberry Matcha Latte, and the Dirty Matcha Latte. The Strawberry Matcha was my favorite -- just the right balance of earthy and sweet. The Hojicha had a warm, roasted flavor and the Dirty Matcha had a nice bold espresso punch without overpowering the matcha. I also ordered the Mango Sticky Rice, which came with both regular and ube sticky rice -- the ube was a fun twist and added some color and extra chewiness. Found this place on a late Saturday night while craving some tea and thankfully they were open. This place closes at 2 AM which is amazing for those of us who have a sweet tooth at random times. I got a Matcha and my husband got a strawberry Matcha and they were both equally delicious. We also got two muffins and the banana one was perfect perfection. When we went it was quite late, but there were a few people sitting down and I saw that they have board games to play, which is pretty cool. It seemed like a chill place to go and hang out. Passing through the area, we saw a relatively new boba/dessert spot, and of course I had to try! We ordered some fries, almond tea cakes, chocolate tea cakes, and a few drinks. Fries: They were so crispy and delicious! It was definitely popular with my kids. Tea cakes: The almond tea cakes weren't too sweet and had a nice texture to it. The chocolate one was really good too, but I thought the original one lets the almond flavor shine more. I never had anything like it before! Jasmine green tea: The jasmine flavor was so floral and strong. I love strong tea flavors, and every sip smelled so nice too! Camellia green tea: Also super refreshing! The tea flavor wasn't as distinct as the jasmine for me because of the mango jellies I added, but I still loved the drink. Latte with cream foam: The cream foam was so soft and creamy. It just melted with every sip of the latte. Service was very friendly and quick. The shop isn't super big, but they had a few tables, and it was quiet and relaxing. They share a small parking lot with a few other businesses, but we didn't have issues finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. Cafe Sweets is located in the same strip mall as Alex Di Peppe's Italian Restaurant and Laoxi Noodle House, specifically in the corner that is next door to the barber shop. I came by this newly opened eatery on 2 separate occasions, this past Saturday with my mom and yesterday with my husband. Over both visits, we had received very friendly and gracious service by one of the owners, Grace (she remembered me on my second visit). Over the 2 visits we had purchased: Carrot Tea Cakes, $15 prior to tax for 6- Wow these tea cakes are really good. There are nuts, a small amount of raisins, pineapples and shredded carrots in each of these tea cakes. Each cake is dense and very delicious. Grace told us that they also freeze well too. Apple Cinnamon Bite. $13 prior to tax for 6- Another delicious tea cake, inside are nuts and large pieces of apples on top. Almond Tea Cakes, $15 prior to tax for 6- My favorite tea cake, these tea cakes have a nice almond flavor. All of these tea cakes are not too sweet (Asian sweet) and perfect for a snack or a little dessert after your lunch. Chocolate Tea Cake- This was free sample given to us to try. Grace told us this is just like the almond tea cakes but with chocolate chips added and chocolate drizzled on top. Creme Brulee, $3.50 prior to tax- Grace was so kind to give my mom a free one. My mom thought it was good and didn't think it was too sweet, just perfect for her. Double Chocolate Pecan, $2.50 prior to tax- This cookie has a nice cake like softness and is a pretty large size. I didn't have any because my husband took it to work and had said he liked it. Thai Red Rubies, $7.95 prior to tax- This drink is similar to Vietnamese che thai drink with coconut milk and all of those colorful chewy jellies inside. The drink wasn't too sweet and very refreshing. The size is good for 2 to share. Both my husband and I enjoyed this drink. Brown Sugar Boba Milk, $5.95 prior to tax- I ordered this to be made with 25% sweetness and no ice. I thought this drink was find with the sweetness level adjustment and I also found that the boba was nice and soft, but chewy. Milk Tea, $5.95 prior to tax + Pudding $0.50 prior to tax- Both my husband and I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetness level and no ice. My husband liked his drink and so did I. I had my drink the next day and thought it was perfectly made. The pudding was good. Birria Ramen, $15.95 prior to tax- Birria tacos or ramen (for the same price) is only available on Wednesdays. Grace had told her that her friend makes the birria. Honestly, the birria was good, it wasn't greasy like other places that I have had birria and the broth base was good. It was a little salty and sour, but I think it went very well with the meat and the ramen noodles. The portion size is perfect for both my husband and I to share. We did share a little for my mom to try since Grace had told us on Saturday to come back to try the birria (so I wanted to make sure my mom got a chance to try it). My mom really liked it (and this was the first time she had birria). ------------------------------------- Please note that currently Cafe Sweets has a grand opening special that you can purchase 2 drinks and get the 3rd drink free (which also includes the Thai Red Rubies if you wish to take advantage of that deal). The main reason I went to cafe sweets was for a bucket of their Thai red ruby (kind of like Vietnamese che). Customer service was so good I ended up getting their daily special dry noodles! Wow!!!! This little noodle bowl was a flavor burst in my mouth. I usually don't eat meatballs or certain meats but I gobbled everything down! I've never had tea cake before and was going to give the samples to my bf. So glad I didn't because the crispy soft chewy texture is unlike anything I've had before. And not too sweet either. This has become our go-to spot for coffee and boba! The sweetness and milk can be tweaked which is great because some drinks can be a bit sweet so the adjustments make them perfect. They currently have a buy 2 get 1 free deal so even more of a reason to come! The tea cakes and Thai dessert is always delicious. Service is always absolutely top notch, drinks are amazing, and the location is small but cozy and cute. Usually not very busy but we've seen it busy on weekends. I came around opening, 10:15am and found parking easily. The girl at the counter was so sweet and mentioned to me they just opened and she's helping her aunt in the back. She told me about the 2 drinks get 1 drink free special and said when the pastries are done, she'll give me a sample. I ordered the matcha foam ice latte, hojicha tea, and matcha milk tea. she asked if i wanted it with no ice so i can save it for later. it was kind of her to ask and the drinks were really good. I also tried the almond pastry and I will definitely come back to get a whole box of it. A lot of little almond pieces for the crunchy feel. the side of the pastry also had a nice edge crispy chewy taste. Hidden gem!! They serve coffee, tea, tea cakes, snacks, noodles, and desserts. They also have daily house specials that rotate in availability, such as chicken curry noodle soup and birria tacos. My favorites so far include: House Special Dry Noodle: Vietnamese-style with chewy egg noodles, beef, pork, and a savory sauce. The portions are very generous and the clear broth that they serve on the side is delicious. Chicken Curry Noodle Soup: Mild, creamy broth with fall-off-the-bone chicken. Perfect for the cold weather. Carrot Tea Cake: I tried a few of the other tea cakes and they're all good but I just love carrot cake and these tea cakes kind of remind me of the corner piece of brownies so it's perfect. Iced Coffee with Matcha Foam: Strong coffee, not bitter at all, very flavorful and creamy, and paired wonderfully with the matcha foam. Iced Jasmine Green Tea: Very floral and refreshing (asked for less sweetness). Also tried their Popcorn Chicken, which came in a huge portion and was really good, but it's a little different from Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken and lacked the salty white pepper seasoning. Their Thai Tea was a little too sweet but the flavor was great, I would definitely try to ask for less sugar next time. Discovered this cute and cozy cafe through a menu flyer that appeared at my front door one day. I've had their food and drinks 3 separate times since then. Everyone has been so lovely and welcoming during the times I've stopped by and ever so patient the times when I've stood by, awkwardly gawking at the menu. Customer service is great in person and even on the phone if you decide to call your order in ahead of time. Their tea cakes are the perfect balance of flavorful without being too sweet, with my favorite flavors being the cinnamon apple and almond ones. Their egg tarts completely hit the spot, especially if you're lucky enough to get a piping hot batch of them. The mini egg rolls have been consistently delicious every single time I've had them and are now my must-have snack from Cafe Sweets. The matcha latte has become my favorite in the area, so it hurts my soul that I have to watch my sugar intake while it's so accessible to me. Such a great spot! Came in today for lunch with my daughter, been twice before when they first opened. Food is still delicious. We have had the dry noodle, birria ramen, chicken wings, fries, fried dumplings, egg rolls, tea cookies and fruit teas.
