Their famous Binion's Cafe Burger that has been on sail for half a century is still a earth shattering $5.99! Yes a meal in Vegas for $6! These are 1970's prices! Or something you'd find in Reno or Wendover (yes I've been everywhere in America to find the best way to save on a Vodka Tonic and report to my Yelp cousins). Furthermore, these might be the "best" chicken strips I've had in the states! Easily you notice that they were never frozen and brined for the most moist after taste a pressure fryer could muster. We arrived at peak brunch hours today (Sunday) and the staff was on point. We were told our server was slammed and it would be a few minutes and we were okay with that because it was obviously peak hours. We waited maybe two minutes and she was there. She was friendly and apologized for the "wait". We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Ham and Eggs. Food came out quickly and was delicious. This place is on Fremont street experience. You can walk in and seat yourself which is kind of nice, it was 2am when we did it. Our server was there with in seconds took our order and brought our drinks out immediately. It is kind of noisy since it is inside the casino. The food was nothing to write home about but was not bad. They do give a good serving of food though. It will fill you up. We ordered the club an it was a large sandwich and came with fries. The menu offers typical cafe food such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, soups, salads along with dinner entrees. We started with the hummus appetizer which was delicious! My husband, daughter and myself stopped in for a late dinner after sightseeing at The Mob museum. We built up an appetite and were famished. Binion's Cafe is fairly close and it was convenient. They validate your parking ticket in the cafe. We were seated at a table by a unfr hostess and handed menus to peruse. My husband ordered the hangover burger that is served with a fried egg on top. My daughter ordered eggs, bacon and no toast. I chose the Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich with coleslaw. My husband's burger was supposed to have hash browns but it came out with coleslaw. He reminded the waitress and she reassured him she would get him the hash browns but those never appeared. The food is what it is: typical diner fare. My steak in my sandwich was overdone and black on a lot of it. I normally don't write negative reviews but this one is an exception. I think the food is sub par and over priced. The service wasn't not good. We will not be returning. The cafe is in need of a makeover. Granted it is an old casino but it definitely shows its age and the employees seem to have poor customer service skills at best. read more

This is not my first time dinning here however I felt it was time to leave a review. Atmosphere: It is a basic set up nothing spectacular but it was clean. The tables are low and makes it rather uncomfortable to eat as you have to lean down to get to your food. The kitchen is open so you are able to see your food being prepared. Atmosphere gets 3 stars Service: The service was average nothing to write home about. Our first water was delivered swiftly as well as the first refill the 3rd, 4th and 5th took longer to be refilled. It took us nudging our glasses towards the end of the table to get them refilled. The food was deilvered in a timely manner. However I was a little perturbed at the end of our meal as I did not finish my biscuits and gravy I asked for a to go box. The boxes were delivered but no bag one of the staff offered to get a bag, as she was bagging up my leftovers she dropped my food all over the floor. There was no offer to replace the food. It took me telling the cashier what happened to even get an offer to replace my food. Thankfully a staff member named Julia took care of the situation and replaced my food. 3 stars for overall service but 5 stars for Julia as she went above and beyond to make me happy Just a side note I don't think staff members should be walking around with wireless headphones around their neck while working. Perhaps if her concentration was on her job and not her music she would not have dropped my food on the floor. Food: I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the grilled cheese. The biscuits and gravy were absolutely phenomenal. The biscuits were fluffy and soft. The gravy was a smokey ham gravy with plenty of ham. The grilled cheese was rather underwhelming. The cheddar was not melted but just soft in textured. The garlic and parmesan cheese in the outside of the bread was burnt. The individual who took our order asked if I wanted coleslaw, potato salad or fries with my sandwich. I opted for the fries, however the waitress neglected to inform me that there was an upcharge for fries. 1.49 is not a big deal but it would be nice if something was said. The world (or at least Las Vegas) needs more places like Binion's Cafe. It is a place serving good comfort food at reasonable prices. I miss the era when every casino had a nice diner/coffee shop like this. Staff was efficient yet friendly. Even the cashier was super friendly on the way out. I could have easily eaten every meal of the day here. Well almost, they are closed for a few hours each night. If they were open 24 hours it'd be even more perfect. I had the ribeye steak and eggs. The steaks here are cut in their on site butcher shop. It was an ok piece of meat. Passable for a diner, but not steakhouse quality. However, the eggs and hash browns were exactly what you'd want from a diner. My friend had the pot roast. I had a taste and thought it was really good. This was my first time at this establishment and it was a nice place to stop by for a quick bite for brunch. Upon our arrival, the hostess who was helping us was not welcoming and could've been more courteous. She repeatedly bumped into members of my party instead of politely excusing herself, which calls for less than 5 star service. The food was decent. If you're hungry, it will taste good. I ordered the linguine and meatballs with the house salad and ranch. The house salad was good, although the cherry tomatoes added to the salad were a bit soft and squishy-- not the freshest. The pasta itself was not flavorful. The spaghetti sauce was very watery and was bland. I added some salt and it tasted a little better afterwards. The meatballs were not special in any way; they also lacked flavor. The garlic bread that came with the meal was probably the best part of this with good seasoning. My friend ordered the lemon zest chicken and the chicken was delicious! It was smothered in pesto sauce and it was very yummy-- something I would get if I were to ever come again. Real food, real conversation, really standard cuisine. This review is long overdue, about a month and a half to be exact. This was my secret spot for peaceful meals and funny conversations after each night of the Life is Beautiful festival. I also parked my car here and would get it validated after each meal, which I'm assuming they will change this for next year. The last day of the festival, parking attendants were getting wise to the real use of their spaces, and trust me it wasn't for the nickel slots. This place is not fancy, not pretty, but it gets the job done. From Thursday to Sunday I was parked at the cafe counter, usually around 1am, ordering everything your fitness trainer yells at you for eating: chicken fried steak, chili cheese dogs, the lumberjack breakfast, chicken fingers, and for good measure some type of fried westernized version of an egg roll. The standard color scheme of each meal usually landing somewhere between gray and brown on the spectrum. Still, I savored each bite like it was my last. Yes, this food is terrible for you, but who wants to order a salad in the wee hours of the morning? The service was good. I ordered food and it promptly came. This no frills style of eating can be enjoyable especially with the right company. I was usually solo when eating here so I would chat with my fellow snackers. Mostly old school gentlemen who would complained about how Vegas has lost it's "class". Apparently this dude has never witnessed the people dressed up as cardboard Transformers and bootleg Pixar characters on Las Vegas Blvd. In-all seriousness the guy has a point. Alright so we were downtown Fremont enjoying a fun date night out and happened to smell the burgers a sizzling over at Binion's cafe. We were hungry and remembered the yummy burger we had last time. Our service and experience from the previous visit was horrendous and we decided to give the Cafe another shot! We decided to stroll through and check out the wait and to our surprise there was no line and plenty of open seats. We grabbed a seat at the bar and were greeted by the main cook who is Awesome! He took really good care of us all of the way through, kept our drinks filled and even chatted with us for a bit. The burgers were delicious and our tab was low so you can't beat that with a stick! Look, I'm just gonna say it, folks. Best chicken breast tenders in Vegas. Thick, moist and juicy, nicely breaded with a perfect amount of crunch. We make a special trip to Binion's anytime we're in LV specifically for these strips. Please don't ever change the recipe! Almost everything we've ever had here is pretty darn good. My only gripe is the fries; they're meh. And as a fellow Yelper mentioned- don't let the low prices here fool you with regards to food quality. This place is a hidden gem among old school diner food.
