New location, new review. (First one was for Underground Hall.) We've been enjoying Bird Haus' West Alabama spot for a while now. But we still don't get the chance to eat here as much as we want. So you know where we had to go for someone's b-day. Fried pickles have been a mainstay on our order since Bird Haus' Underground Hall days, but we've been exploring the menu beyond their tenders basket (aka, chicks box). No regrets branching out. Their chicken sandwiches and wraps are bomb combos of soft, crunchy, hot, cold, sweet, and sour. The wet and dry rubs next-level each bite of chicken; don't sleep on their dry citrus heat or wet mango habanero. You should come hungry for their sandwiches or wraps. Their sandos are stacked like that, so consider a fork and knife if you want every layer in each bite. Even stuffed, we said a shameless 'yes' to loaded fries. They're the sandwich/wrap deconstructed onto crinkle-cut spuds, every topping accounted for (except for slaw, and there's cheese sauce, but you get me.). The plan was to take them home for a midnight snack. They barely made it past the front door. Guess we'll have to come back for another birthday. Anyone celebrating this weekend? The staff were really nice and the area offers a uniquely fun & casual experience. Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich was just alright especially for the money. The chicken was pretty dry and a little chewy. It consisted of 2 tenders as opposed to a large piece of chicken. I personally think Raising Canes offers better value and flavor so it's unclear whether I'll return after spending $20 for a sandwich combo with a lemonade. There's a lot of competition in the area so I genuinely hope they get better bc they have a lot of potential. read more

I came to this restaurant because I was in town and saw that it was open late. I arrived around 11 PM to place an order, but I was told it was closed, and the staff member spoke to me in a rude tone. On yelp their hours stated that they were open until 1 AM. read more

I was so shocked at how good this was! I ordered a piece of fried fish, fries and a blue raspberry lemonade and it was great. The food was made to order (so it did take about 20 mins or so) and extremely hot and fresh. The portion was great! The lemonade was super flavorful. I think I spent about $13. Not bad. The combination of "Galleria" and "food court" sounds synonymous with generically overpriced food, which is why Bird Haus comes as a pleasant surprise. I didn't snap the best picture but their hot chicken sandwich combo ($16) serves as a solid choice for a hungry stomach. The sandwich is fairly large and well seasoned, though the chicken tasted a little dry. I rate the fries + Haus sauce above average. I can't think of another hot chicken establishment in Uptown. This place may be your best bet unless you're willing to head toward Montrose or the Heights. read more

Seafood rice bowl - 7/10 - Liked the lemony/spicy flavor of this but was pretty oily and i wish the fish and shrimp were crispier Chicken burger - 7.5/10 - Tastes like a regular chicken burger , could use more flavor and crisp Chicken wrap - 8.5/10 - My favorite item out of all of them because it had flavor and wasnt as greasy as the other items Mango cream ice haus - 9/10 - Very tasty and refreshing, i liked the blend of mango and condensed milk Mac and cheese - 8/10 - Very goeey and cheesy but a bit too milky which diluted the flavor of the cheese, i liked the hint of spice in this tho I had seen posts about this spot having crispy chicken and seafood but unfortunately mine werent that crispy :( overall food was tasty and had a good kick to it but i would prefer more crisp, sauce, and flavor personally read more

YUMMMMMM! This place did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. Came here for a quick bite and it was great. Customer service was great, ordering was easy, food was quick, and portions were nice. In a fun setting, you just walk up and order on the kiosk and they will text you when your food is ready. Got fish over rice, chicken over fries, and shrimp. Sauce was the best- a garlic cream sauce. My wife and I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich here. You can select the spice level for the fried chicken pieces (regular, medium, hot, and the 4th/hottest level I forgot the name of) -- we got "medium" which was very mildly spicy and perfect for my wife, who can only handle mild. If you like spicy food, I'd recommend getting "hot" at minimum The sandwich was a hearty size and was filling. There were some pickles in it. Bird haus has been a favorite for a while. I would visit after rockets games when they were downtown. The spice levels are great, fries are well seasoned and perfect. I think the changes they've gone through in changing locations has been detrimental to my business. The last time I purchased, they used chicken strips for my sandwich. I only get the sandwich because it's a chicken thigh (or at least has been). I was not notified of this difference and it certainly changed the sandwich for me. The conservatory is a great vibe overall, you can grab a drink while you're waiting or watch a game. read more

I really have enjoyed every visit to the Conservatory Galleria. Decided to try the Bird Haus today and I was not disappointed. Chef D and crew were very friendly and a joy to talk to. Very professional and welcoming. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all and I wish it was; however, the taste was awesome. The fries were excellent as well.
