I tried to eat it because I was so hungry. I ate two but I couldn't eat the rest.

I honestly did not enjoy the food that I received from this place. I was SO excited to try something new. I've seen videos online about these tacos with the sauce. This is the first time I've tried them and it wasn't a good experience. The tacos barely had flavor. The cheese overpowered the meat taste. The sauce didn't really have any flavor either, it was just very oily. The lemon saved the entire meal I can say. That was the most flavor put on. I tried to devour them because I was hungry but 2 tacos remained...mission failed. But listen....A for Effort . Please put your heart and soul into making these next time. I need your foot in it.

This is very authentic Mexican food. I have eaten multiple dishes here you can't go wrong with ordering their tacos or soup

Great food... be adventurous and get a lamb and or beef anything. The meats are amazing. Homemade sauces and wonderful execution! Sorry photo was after eating... we were hungry! So freaking good!

3 Sopes (carnitas, asada, and chicken)

Today's dining lesson: Never judge a restaurant by its storefront or location. What the place lacked in appearance or ambiance more than made up for it with the richness of flavor. We ordered the Torito Especial (mixed) and 3 Sopes (carnitas, asada, and chicken)--both plates were delicious and reminded us of good Mexican home cooking. My only regret was not doing our homework before we arrived so that we would have ordered the torta ahogada with birote, a Mexican sourdough bread. Parking wasn't great and the seating was limited but the service was fantastic. We were seated immediately and the waitresses were attentive. We will definitely return.

Torta Ahogada

Absolutely, positively sooo good. I got the Torta Ahogada. Bread, meat, and a tomato-based sauce with some herbs and spices. What's not to like? Every part of this torta was terrific and they give you a ton of the sauce to dip your bread into. I am looking forward to going back and trying other things, because this was great. I also got churros (with caramel sauce) and they were quite good too.

Quesabirria tacos

We tried this place since I was craving some quesabirria tacos. The tacos were tasty and came with consommé. The meat was very flavorful. The place seems like a little hole in the wall place but those places have the best food. We will be back

Service was excellent, our order took a little longer but it was home-cooked and worth it. We had the chicharrónes and guca which was not on the menu. The papa increíbles (baked potato) was good and serving fed two of us and we still had leftovers! Highly recommend!

This place is more then what meets the eye. The menu is small but what they offer is authentic and very flavorful food. This place is following COVID rules and they offer outdoor sitting. The staff were welcoming when we arrived and very friendly. I highly recommend you stop by...

Quesabirra tacos are worth it to come here!

Went here specifically for the Quesabirra Tacos. They are super delicious! Also. Just an FYI, I'm not from around here, but this taco shop is definitely a hole in a wall restaurant. The streets are pretty rough when driving here, probably best not to be driving here after 6pm. It's kinda "in the hood" if you know what I mean. When I got here, I went thru the wrong door. Lol I accidentally entered the kitchen, so when you walk in, make sure you go to the door on the left. You can literally park in the front of the shop. Nonetheless, I'd come here again.

I'm going to be honest, I only knew about this place because of TikTok. We were in the area and it was our last day in San Antonio. We couldn't really call it a trip to San Antonio unless we had some bomb tacos, right? So that's exactly what we did. This place was a bit difficult to get to, just because it's a relatively small place, and the parking lot was completely filled. We were kind of running on a short period of time, so we ended up going through the drive-thru. (Thank goodness for that drive-thru!) We ordered exactly what we saw on TikTok and I saw that they also had chilaquiles on the menu, so naturally - I ordered that as well. They were really busy, so it was a bit of a wait, but the wait was well worth it. We parked in the back of the restaurant to wait for our food. When it came out, we couldn't wait, and just ate it right then and there. Let me tell you - this place is the BEST. Just amazing. I fell in love. The owner was also nice enough to come out and tell us a little bit about how his business blew up and how grateful he was for the guy that posted a video about his food on TikTok. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone that is in San Antonio. This was well worth it and definitely made the entire trip! Definitely will be coming back again.

Amazing tacos, but what was the best was the service! The person who helped me at the driveway was so friendly, made a suggestion and was so kind. We can't wait to go back again and try something else.

Super cozy place, got the quesabirria tacos and it was so good! Friendly service and the food came out quickly and was very hot and fresh.

Hamburgesa Mexicana

TikTok made me do it and I'm glad it did. The Quesabirria did not disappoint. The cheese on it was super-stretchy and the meat in the tacos was very tender. The consome packs a lot of flavor for your taco dunks. I get it. You don't want to be the guy ordering a cheeseburger at a Mexican restaurant. But you're gonna be that guy. The Hamburgesa Mexicana was sloppy and messy in the best ways. Not pictured is the jerricallas and churros (we do dessert first in our house and they went quickly). Great texture on the jerricalla, think of crème brûlée, but better. The churro was a churro, it's good, but I won't write more about it. Just get the churro if you feel like having a churro.

Don't let appearances deceive you. Once inside you'll have quick friendly service and the best birria tacos you can get (beef or lamb).

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale, and inviting. The architecture and design throughout the restaurant are absolutely stunning. Even the restrooms were impressive and reflected the same attention to detail found throughout the entire establishment. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. This isn't your typical restaurant experience--the menu is creative, unique, and offers something different. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the preparation and presentation of every plate. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. My waitress, Kreizon, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout my visit. Great service can make a good meal even better, and she definitely elevated the entire experience. The outdoor dining area is also beautiful and creates a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a meal and taking in the surroundings. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, incredible ambiance, unique architecture, and top-notch customer service, Domingo is a must-visit. This is more than just dinner--it's an experience. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

The restaurant is on the river walk, and right under a hotel, so it's very accessible. The…read morerestaurant itself leans more towards a modern experience. Electronic dance music pulsed quietly in the background. The toilets were all individual unisex stalls that were classy, mine had run out of hand towels. Also, the entire restaurant is very dimly lit. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu, but I have poor eyesight so there's that, but it might explain the quality of the photos I took. The Paloma drink was amazing. It had a great spicy zing in the back of the throat after every sip. Queso was... kinda plain. It might have been better with the add chorizo option. It was very thick. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

We started…read morewith the Pan Fila Conchota combo that is a combination of the two that is 1/2 gallon of hot chocolate made using a base of Abuelitas with additional cinnamon, and cocoa along with something special. It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.

Not sure if the Italian side and the cantina side share the same kitchen, but we will remember to come back and try that side as well. If the Italian menu and preparation is as unique as the cantina's, it will be a worthy adventure. For our appetizer we got the cheese dish pictured. I can not recall the name, but the cheese is a cool light cheese served in a warm tomato-based sauce, topped with slices of fresh avocados and chicharones and was served with flour and corn tortillas. Very delicious! As mentioned in the opening...the menu, preparation, and presentation at Panfila is unique. For our entrees my wife got the chile Relleno and I got the Milanese con Mole. The chile Relleno was served in a bowl with just an absolutely fabulous sauce and stuffed and covered with nicely melted cheese. The Milanese con Mole was absolutely decadent! The tender pork was lightly fried and covered in the most delicious mole that I have ever eaten. The chocolate was a little more prominent in the flavor profile than I am used to; and I wouldn't think that I would like that, but it was perfect! I enjoyed every bite and used the extra tortillas from our appetizer to finish off the mole. Highly recommend anything on the menu that incorporates that mole!! Fantastic place!
