This place is a local favorite with branches all over the world and famous for the Hyderabadi Indian food. By looks it doesn't come out to be very special in the small shopping complex by CVS but don't get food by it. They have some delicious Biryani (rice) varieties along with a wide range of North Indian food choices. I highly recommend getting their set lunches. Chicken 65 - seemed to be quickly reheated chicken pieces coated in a thick tangy masala. Pepper goat sukka fry - ok but had no real heat despite the name or the request to make it hot. Paratha - good Goat dum biryani - looked excellent with beautiful color. Obviously this was made very well in a traditional manner. But the flavor profile and spice was not the way I prefer it. The Chicken 65, buttered chicken, naan, and chicken biryani are all amazing. My friend said stay away from the goat and stick to the chicken at this location. I would tend to agree. Goat Biryani is one of the better ones you can get from a restaurant, I know because my folks are from Hyderabad, India where it's the number one known dish for centuries, and I have had some amazing versions at private homes and five star hotels in India. I only gave the menu and meal three stars. There are some girls who lack fundamental customer service abilities and have an attitude. Even though the closing time is 1.5 hours away, they rush. Additionally, people smoke just outside the door, so if you're a non-smoker and are seated close to the entrance, it might make you uncomfortable. Additionally, I find it bothersome and occasionally noisy when individuals just stand in groups next to the cash register and chat incessantly. The cleaning boys are constantly rushing about and won't let you complete your meal. I do suggest this restaurant, but the staff members require training. read more

A very unassuming but lovely place. The bench seats need some updating, but the food makes up for it. I dream of their butter chicken and garlic basil naan. There are just few places that can make decent briyani, and this is one of them here in H-town. I had tried this place before when it first opened and it looks like they had redesigned the interior, which seems to look good for a dining experience. However, I ordered a chicken briyani to-go with one full egg, and it tasted great! I love the sauce that goes with it. I keep telling myself I'm going to try something new but once I get here and see how good the deal is and how much variety I get on the plate I always end up ordering it again. The lunch special comes either non-vegetarian or vegetarian and then mild or spicy. But since I'm not familiar with their cousine, some things just didn't sit right with me. Parking is atrocious. But there is additional parking in the rear of the building. I ordered my food while I waited for a table so that did move things along faster. For app I got the chicken pakodas which were long skinny strip of chicken dipped in a spicy/herby batter n fried. I found the concoction to be very salty. Almost made me sad that I left half of the $8.99 app uneaten. For entrée I ordered the Hyderabadi Chicken murgh masala. It's a mild curry with a heavy onion base and very creamy. And a healthy portion if I might add. The chicken was the softest butteriest chicken I have ever eaten. The naan presented was skinny but delicious. Again, this is where the cultural difference comes into play. In Pakistan the naan is thick so it just comes down to personal preference. Not saying it wasn't good, I just prefer thick naan to soak up curries with and break meats with. From the level of walk -in traffic it's evident that this place is good consistently since most of the customers there were returning patrons. The garlic naan is everything. I ordered the heavenly goat and I was expecting great things from reading the reviews and it was just ok for me. The chicken #65 was so delish though! We also got the chicken biryani and it was good when I drenched it with the brown sauce that it comes with (sorry I don't know the name.
