This tiny restaurant with an open air kitchen was a hit. While the initial taste of the biscuits and gravy was a little runny, once you put a little pepper in it, and let the egg yolks mix in, it was a solid tasting specimen. The biscuits were sadly the prefab ones. Maybe not frozen because they were decent tasting for the prefab. The sausage patties also looked like a miss. They were the preformed packaged ones. Surprisingly they have to have a good supplier or are spending more on the better ones. They actually tasted great. The coffee was a little burnt but I did come in ln late. read more

This spot NEVER disappoints me. We've tried the stuffed French toast (if you like French toast you MUST try this!), chicken & waffles and the breakfast burrito and wow! Wow this place has amazing food. We wanted to originally go to Egg Yolk right next door but they couldn't accommodate our party of 25 (softball girls team). We asked to be spectated and distanced according to guidelines but they said no so we head on over to Biscuits & Gravy and thank God we did. It was absolutely hands down amazing. Every item that was brought out was fresh, hot and tasty. The cheese curds were better than Culver's. The patty melt had so much flavor and everyone else loved their food as well. They definitely need to expand this place. Keep up the great service and food. We will be back!! read more

After living in west chicago for a few years me and my husband decide to check out this local Cafe. Known for their biscuits and gravy we decided to get the breakfast burritos. Simple menu, but what is on it they do very well. The ambiance is whole in the wall. Love that they are more focused on what I'm eating. Mexican skillet had perhaps THE best chorizo I've ever had. Even the avacodo was perfect ripeness and blemish free. Orange juice was real. Coffee was good, like fancy coffee house good, only it was served in a diner cup. Service and timing was perfect. Tried B&G for the first time today with my Mom and son. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and they offered nicely shaded outdoor seating. Their homemade gravy was so good and the jelly served with the English muffin was delicious...I want the recipe or a vat of it to take home! This is a quaint place with a traditional lunch and breakfast menu, as well as a couple of Mexican specialties. The dining area is small, the service is excellent, and the food was really tasty. I especially recommend the breakfast potatoes. The biscuits and gravy w poached eggs was adjusted for me to include scrambled eggs instead. I really enjoyed this new place in the neighborhood. As of the end of 2019 there was no sign on the building. However, you can find it in the same parking lot south of the Egg Yolk Cafe. Tiny little place with about 10 tables in the strip mall area of where Egg Yolk Cafe is. Everything is very clean, from the tables to the bathroom to the floor, which was surprising on a snowy day. The service is wonderful, I never had to wait for water (this is common for me) and when asked for recommendations the food did not disappoint. They served the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had in my life. The potatoes that came with the omlette were nice and brown cooked with onions and green peppers!!! Yum! The omelette was moist and flavorful and the chicken rice soup that accompanied my chicken sandwich had me wanting to lick the bowl. In sum this place is clean, priced well and the food is awesome. This biscuit Gravy café is the best place that I had ever been to. the ambiance of this place is immaculate, literally. The vibes are on point and it really did change my mood up. The whole interior of the place is also amazing, especially the inside of the café. It is clean, neat, well organized, bright, tidy, and decent. It really has that peaceful atmosphere that you would look for if ever you need time to think or just have a simple dine-in. A friend of mine suggested this place since my work is online, so it had been my go-to place to work on ever since. It isn't really always work but the ambiance really just suits me up. It is really soothing and calming. I would always order their Cinnamon French toast, Biscuits and gravy, Eggs and bacon, and their hot Choco. If there isn't one, coffee would definitely solve the problem. Their foods are definitely the highlight of their place, just perfect! Their service is also great. Heard by word of mouth and came here on a Saturday morning to check it out. Biscuits and Gravy is what I usually get the first time at any breakfast restaurant so of course had to get the titular order. Choice of plain or cheddar biscuits so the cheddars are topped with melted cheese in addition to the cheese baked in. The scrambled eggs are a must for me and are not "extra" but part of the meal. A touch of red pepper and Chilula added a local flare to the generous gravy with plenty of mild fresh pork sausage. My wife ordered her standard eggs over medium cooked perfectly with fresh sausage and fruit and brioche French toast. The coffee was also fresh and hot. The service was friendly and efficient and the restaurant decor was basic but spacious and very clean and new. The location suffers for visibility but very accessible and parking is easy. Hope more of you come so this place can thrive. We will be back with our adult kids who will want to try some of the more authentic and adventurous choices on the menu. read more

It's in a strip mall at the end and you need to know it's there or you'd miss it. But don't. Drive right past Egg Yolk Cafe ( which is also good) and try this place. You will not be sorry. The service there was really nice and quick, it didn't take that long for our food to come out. Our server was really nice she refilled our cups and checked up on us just enough. The red velvet french toast was super good I wasn't expecting there to be cream cheese frosting in the middle but overall very good, the side of breakfast potatoes they were okay, they're more on the dry side but a little ketchup fixes everything. Sadly, this place was a swing and a miss. We came in around noon or so and were promptly seated and that's where things went downhill. The young busboy said "what do you want to drink?" and was clearly overwhelmed. I ordered water for the moment and my mom got coffee. The server came by 10 minutes later with no hello, no how are you, just "what are you having?". We felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. My mom ordered a Denver omelet with no cheese and I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Our food took over 30 minutes and nobody bothered to come by and apologize for the delay. The food arrives, missing toast, and my mom's omelet was filled with cheese. She just really doesn't like cheese and in an omelet, you can't eat around it. My chicken and waffles were 2 small pieces of chicken that looked like they were from a freezer bag. When we alerted the waitress, she said they would make a new one, but being that our food took so long initially, we didn't want to wait, so I returned my food as well and the server was done with me. No apology, no nothing. So we left. We clearly aren't welcome there... and I don't understand. If you're too busy, make us wait to be seated, we would have been good with that.
