My wife and I dined here on Thursday. We both agreed that this is arguably the best restaurant we have visited within the past few years . Service was stellar, atmosphere family friendly and the food was scrumptious yet original. I had the seafood risotto while my wife had one of their signature chicken specials. Both dishes complimented our white wine selection while we can't wait to come back and try out their other menu selections. We came to Bistro 12 on a Saturday night. They were pretty full for outdoor seating. We ordered the white wine sangria and lemon drop martini to start. They were very refreshing. The sangria tasted very sweet and had lots of fruit. The lemon drop martini was super refreshing especially during the summer. We got a side of warm bread and butter to start. Then, we ordered the Caesar Salad, Tagliatelle all's bolongnese, and Ravioli w cream truffle, which was a weekly special. The Caesar Salad was delicious. Bistro 12 includes two slices of anchovies which is something I have never had with my Caesar Salad! I liked the salty fish but I know bf doesn't enjoy it so he gave his fish to me. More for me! I got the Ravioli with Cream Truffle oil which was a part of their weekly special. I'm not usually a huge fan of truffle because I think it can be too overpowering but Bistro 12 had a perfect balance between truffle oil and white sauce. Very buttery and delicious! The bolognese was good as well. Overall, pretty nice Italian restaurant. Tarrytown shuts down Main Street so the restaurants can gain more outdoor seating. read more

Lovely experience tonight at Bistro 12. Succulent, tender grilled octopus; split the small portion as an appetizer. The halibut was superb, as were the accompanying vegetable medley, sautéed to perfection in a light and savory sauce. The branzino was equally delicious, cooked perfectly. Topped off the meal with the Molotov dessert, a merengue topped with toasted almonds and a caramel sauce. It was like eating a cloud, light and sweet. Friends recommended Bistro 12 so we tried it last night. It's a perfect little spot. We tried the codfish croquettes that were pillowy and flavorful, the arugula and endive salad which was perfectly dressed and plentiful, and two pasta dishes both freshly made, one had a lighter tomato sauce and the other a bolognese that was hearty. I've been here numerous times! Hard to get a walk up table Saturday evening so I recommend making a reservation. If you're so lucky to get a table, the apps are delicious! The Calamari marinara is delicious! The croquets were not my favorite ...the duck confit is delicious as well as the salmon is super fresh. What makes this place great are the workers! I usually visit the same restaurants in Tarrytown but it was Mother's Day and I decided to try this place and what a pleasant surprise. They were very busy but were able to set a table for us almost immediately. It is a small but very cozy place decorated with paintings( the owner is the artist) and an a full bar on the back . The couple next to us ( very friendly) are frequent customers a suggested few dishes. We order the linguine with seafood food ( more sea food than pasta) and they were delicious. When we walk out the owner introduced himself and sang for me. I am glad I tried this place and I can't wait to go back. read more

Overall, a very good restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and wonderful service; the owner in particular is very friendly to customers -- he seems to remember people who have visited before. The pasta is good, though the tagliolini was a bit overcooked, and the appetizers (specifically the octopus and burrata) never disappoint. I had a mini-reunion with college friends in Tarrytown a couple of years ago (pre-COVID), and we were looking for a place to eat. Not realizing a show was playing at the Tarrytown Hall, we found all the restaurants were full, and no one had a table available. However, as luck would have it, they were going to have space if we waited for a little, so we did, and it was SO worth it! The food and the service were fabulous! One of our friends had eaten here before, and he said the food was great, but WOW, I wasn't expecting it to be so good! Perhaps the best restaurant in Westchester. We celebrated my wife's birthday with wonderful salads (Arugula and Caesar). My wife had the braised rabbit which she could not stop raving about. I had chicken francese with the best lemon caper sauce I have had. We ended with a flan that was wonderful and very caramelly. This is the third time I have been there with each meal, always different, excellent. The meal is enhanced by the incredibly attentive owner and wait staff. We went here for dinner before a show at the Music Hall on Saturday evening. What a fantastic experience! We were warmly and personally greeted by the owner at the door. Beautiful cozy setting with original artwork by the owner lining the walls. The entire staff is mature and thoroughly professional, the perfect blend of attentive without being intrusive. We started with a shared appetizer, which was thoughtfully split onto two plates by the staff - that's a first and very impressive. We had a pasta and a meat entree, both of which were fantastic. Finished with a shared dessert, which was again split for us. The owner circulates through the restaurant talking with everyone and pretty soon you feel right at home. After several visits and a brief tour through the menu, we can state that the food is awesome, the service is great and the feeling is like visiting your family's kitchen in the old world. Found on Yelp and made reservations for our family of 4. We went on January 2nd. We were warmly greeted by a waiter and seated. They served perfectly toasted bread. this place is great.. The location is great, service is great and food is superb. The owners actually work their ass off to make sure that you have a great experience here. I had the rabbit and my date the fish(see pics). My rabbit was falling off its bones and it was finger licking delicious. Her fish was super moist and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are very good and prices are decent. The village of tarrytown needed a place like this and i hope they do great here. Had a nice dinner there. Started off with a crabmeat salad with avocado and mixed greens in a lemon dressing. Ample chunks of crab and a delicious light dressing. Very tasty. My friend had the tomato onion salad which was delicious with a great olive oil vinegrette with basil confetti. We loved both. The home baked bread was crusty and warm and a great accompaniment to the salads. My entree was linguini with seafood. It was fresh and excellent. Clams were meaty, calamari fresh and shrimp and scallops were finely chopped so virtually undetectable. My friend got the seafood risotto, equally delicious. The restaurant is on the small side and a bit tight, but if you an get past that the food is very good. Portions are on the small side also. A bit pricey for what you get. read more
