I recently ordered 5 pies for 13 hungry tweens. The pies were embarrassingly small and the girls polished them off very quickly. While in Tarrytown, we search for the best pizza by the slice and up comes Mr.Nick's so off we go. On street parking was easy on a Sunday night. The restaurant is bright, clean, and honestly, beautiful. You walk in and there is a small seating area in the front by the windows, the counter where you can select your slices, a full on bar and table seating in the back. Service was fantastic - quick and efficient. We had 5 slices in total for $25. The slices were huge and of great quality. My favorite was the spinach with ricotta, parm and mozzarella and the tomato and basil. My husband enjoyed the 4 cheese and 2 chicken based ones. We were very satisfied! read more

Had a great experience here. We walked in very late at night but they were happy and eager to serve us, which surprised me in a small town. The service was great. The food was also excellent. We got takeout from here. Food was absolutely delicious. Even better was the service. Nick was superfriendly on the phone. There was a small mixup with the order. He insisted we keep the part of our order that was wrongly delivered to us and hustled the food we ordered over to us. He apologized and the delivery driver refused a tip. We stopped here for lunch after I came from Rhode Island and my family came from Delaware so we met in the middle. I just randomly selected this from Yelp. I was not impressed I have to say. Being in New York you want really good pizza and this wasn't it. They had a lot of varieties that you could choose from that were pease and would be heated and served so maybe I just chose the wrong one but I got the grandmother and the grandfather and they just weren't great. My cousin ordered the calamari which was terrible. It was big and tasted like paper and was not even hot. The subs looked OK. We went up to the counter to order and they did bring it to our table. When it was time to leave and I paid for lunch they tried to convince me that a 20% tip would be appropriate. I didn't really think so. read more

Mr.Nick's is the best place for a slice or pie of pizza in Tarrytown. Their different flavors are exceptional with my favorites being chicken, bacon, ranch, and white pizza but some honorable mentions that I know that my friends like are caesar salad, buffalo chicken, mimosa (Margherita without tomato), penne, and plain cheese. I have both sat inside and often order delivery from Mr.Nicks. The restaurant itself has a good amount of seating with quick service and very nice workers. Delivery also is always seamless and the pizza and food travels well. Aside from the pizza Mr.Nick's has the best chicken tenders and fries combo around Tarrytown and their honey mustard dipping sauce is also one of my favorites of all time. I also believe that they have the best mozzarella sticks around Tarrytown being perfectly breaded, crispy and amazing cheese pull. read more

We never posted about it because it was a place for us to escape during crazy times. Selfishly, we wanted to keep it ours. Nick has since transformed our favorite down-county pizza spot into the most amazing Italian restaurant (still serving awesome pizza). We spent Christmas Eve there tonight with Nick and his beautiful family. I can keep it secret no more -- the ambiance is beyond beautiful, the food is fantastic, the drinks devine, and the service is top notch. When you're there you're treated like family. We came to Sleepy Hollow for a little day trip away from the city this Sunday. We wanted to get a quick bite to eat so we could continue to explore the area, and stumbled upon this restaurant. We saw a couple of reviews that said that the service was quick which was what we wanted. As soon as we came in they were eager to sit us down quickly... the last time that the service was quick here. We waited for 20 minutes to get water to our table (as seen in the picture we ended up reaching for our own bottles). But we got it sometimes when its busy things get a little behind schedule, but this should have been our sign to leave. Finally someone came to take our order. While ordering we found that many of the entrees were not available so we settled for vodka pastas, salmon, fettuchini carbonara, a minestrone (only two people ordered this), and a chicken parmigiana. They assured us that the soups would get to the table first and then the mains. Again, understandable -in theory. We waited 35 minutes to recieve the soups and some bread (no butter even though other tables had butter). The soup was the the best dish served, which gave us false hope that the entrees could be as good. After the soup was taken we asked for more bread and waited for the entrees. We waited for an hour. It was not that the kitchen had an issue or anything since we saw plates leave and be delivered to tables, some which arrived after us. At that point I raised my hand and a young waitress came, I asked her politely where our food (and bread) was as we had been waiting for an our and other tables got their food. She interrupted me and said your food is coming but those tables got here before you... which was a lie to all five of us. From that point they said it's coming in five more minutes which turned to 30 minutes. At this point it had been an two hours since we arrived to the restaurant and no food (or bread) in sight. We were planning to pay our soup and leave when the food finally got here. It was the most mediocre italian food I have ever had, for such a long wait I would expect home made pasta and sauce which it all tasted like it came from a packaging. You could taste the vodka in the vodka pasta and not creamy; the fetucchini carbonara was so greasy and goopy it sat like pourrige that with each bite that you took the oil would stick to the roof of your mouth; the salmon was dry and served with boiled spinach; lastly, the chicken parmesan was soggy soily and the sauce still tasted like the can, it was served with boiled veggies which was still served with burnt garlic. Mediocre would be an understatement. Since by then we were mad they gave us "free" dessert, which was also mediocre. All for a whooping $150. By then we had lost about 3 hours of our trip and went straight home since everything was closed. Also the bread from after the minestrone never arrived. Would absolutely NOT recommend! read more

Solid pizzeria in Tarrytown, had never been through the area before. I'm used to Long Island and NYC pizza - the sicilian here was pretty good. Crust could have been a little crispier and the sauce a little more flavorful- but all in all it was a reasonable pie. read more

Let me just start with there are not many times (if at all) I am truly impressed by an establishment. I will also add that this is my first ever positive yelp review! This was a result of excellent food, wait staff, ownership and overall atmosphere. The complete overhaul of the restaurant has been nothing short of amazing! Stopped in here for a rainy day lunch and the pizza was SO GOOD! We got the Grandmas (square pizza with fresh basil, marinara, and olive oil on top) and another one I can't remember, maybe the Summer pie? It had roasted peppers, fresh tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella on it. They were both so incredible and the worker helping us was so nice! First time at this restaurant and it was busy on a Saturday night. It was too warm inside which I noticed right away. Little did I know... Order Chicken Scarpariello as I have in at least a dozen other Italian restaurants over many years. As it was served it didn't look right. The chicken appeared to be grilled and was dry and tough to cut with just a butter knife. The taste was awful and that was my last bite of chicken. I ate the penne pasta though I had ordered the spaghetti. Will never return to this restaurant. There are so many far superior Italian restaurants where I will continue to dine. Also ordered the clams appetizer. The waitress said it was very good. It was very bad and very fishy tasting. First impressions are important in all facets of life.
