So I go here at least 3 times a month and the food is great and so is the service. The restaurant is small but accommodates about 25 people with outside seating. I usually get the out orders. The Bahn Mi Pork are my favorite and I also like the chicken curry with there baguettes which are delicious. I only had one issue yesterday I got a take out order of Chicken Curry (that I get once a month) and the quality was not as good as my previous visits. It seemed as though it was left to cook for too long. The chicken, potatoes and carrots were very soft and the curry sauce tasted watered down. I was not impressed at all! I feel that restaurants should have the same quality every time you go and an experience like this could put me off going again... however I like the place a lot and this is the first time I had this experience so I'll give it another chance and hopefully it wouldn't disappoint! read more

This place was very delicious but wow very expensive for small portions. We got the fresh rolls to start which were some of the best summer rolls I have ever had. The peanut sauce was awesome. I got the garden veggie salad with tofu which was very good but super small for 19 bucks ! I was in shock when I got my bill. My husband got the bahn mj sandwich and you can tell it was very fresh. Today 10/03, was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food was nothing especial for the price.I was disappointed with their Green Papaya Salad which unfortunately did not have flavor at all. I was hoping for the rich savory combination of garlic, palm sugar, chilis, lime juice, and fish sauce! The summer rolls were ok. My hubby and I have been trying to come here for a while now, but never made it in time. I'm so glad we finally did! As parents to a very active 21-month we started to get ready. But baby, mommy, daddy & get out the door ASAP maneuver is still one we are trying to master. Needless to say - we get to the restaurant - and it's 10 minutes to close. I hate being one of those customers. But the owner - despite it being so late - was so cordial and inviting!!! We promised to order quickly and leave as soon as we're done. Ah-mazing! We had the cucumber salad, beef pho and coconut ice cream for dessert. I was completely blown away by the authenticity of the taste. The broth was perfectly balanced & I am now getting hungry writing this review, and just remembering how good this pho was! And don't get me started on the ice cream!..but the best part of his visit was - my son (who is an extremely picky eater) grabbing a spoon out of my hand, after I gave him a taste of the broth, and going to town with the bowl of pho. Seeing him wolfing this down like he's never eaten before - was the highlight of the visit, and probably the whole day! I'm definitely going back. Came back for dinner to try other dishes and we left so happy and so full! We tried the escargot napoleon to start which was a light but savory appetizer. The addition of Asian flavors to the dish was a nice twist. The coq au vin and chicken curry dishes were so delicious. The flavors were so intense in a good way. The bread was a nice compliment for both dishes, better than the black rice for sure. This was a lot of food for two of us but we really wanted to try dessert. We went for the banana tapioca pudding which was the perfect size to share, just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy a sweets craving. This is NOT your typically delicious Mom/Pop hole-in-the-wall traditional Viet place. I adore those places and frequented them once a week when I worked in St. Pete. That being said, BT was very tasty. The dishes are a bit more fussed over, and the prices reflect that. We paid more than we typically do for lunch for my husband, 2 year old and me but I wouldn't say we overpaid for the complexity and richness in flavors or the quantity of food. This place is a very interesting concept- French and Vietnamese fusion cuisine. The decor is clean and trendy, a very hipster yet sophisticated feel. Their hot tea is excellent. I also ordered their spring rolls as an appetizer and they are delicious. For my main I ordered the chicken pho. Absolutely delicious. Best pho I've had in Tampa. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and everything is sincerely homemade. Our service was superb. 2 servers checking on my group of 8 constantly. Water was always topped, I was asked how my food was, just excellent service all around. I will say- they are a bit on the pricey side, but I let that slide because of the excellent service and food, but also because higher prices are expected in trendy south Tampa eateries. This is some of the best food I've had in the Tampa Bay Area. The menu was interesting, and almost everything we got was delicious. We started with the duck rilletes (don't recommend, really-- while the bread was good, the actual duck was sort of bland.) Both the entrees we got however, were amazing. The beef bento box and the monk curry with chicken--- both were so delicious. Also the atmosphere is adorable and has that small, home-y vibe that is so rare in Florida. As a big fan of both BT and her cuisine I am very happy that she has opened this bistro, especially now that Restaurant BT is now only open for dinner. She has added several new bistro dishes, like "confit de canard" and steak frites and the wine list is surprisingly extensive for such a small, casual spot. There are also various dishes available on a to go basis. The food is both delicious and healthy, so you don't feel badly for having indulged yourself. Normally I don't review until I've had a few things in the menu but idc, this one makes a worthy review- the Pho! Quickly has become my fave bowl in tampa area. Now it doesn't look like enormous bowl other places slam down in front of you but it more then makes up for it with packing in fresh ingredients. No freeze dried chewy noodles here just the nice al dente vermicelli which play so nicely with the rich broth- and we all know Pho is all about the broth! Not just fresh onions but some caramlized one (or maybe they are crispy shallots) I'll ask next time. The beef fills you up along with tons of fresh herbs. So this would already be a great bowl but I like heat, I mean real heat! Make sure you ask for the BT hot sauce and get ready for some of the most flavorful heat your palate will ever have the pleasure of enduring. It's sweet and spicy but not overwhelming. Went for the pho. Broth was exceptional. I wanted to lift the bowl and drink from it but I was with a friend. She ordered the banh mi, which I tried. It was also really good. Ingredients are supposedly organic although tastewise the difference was not significant compared with most decent pho places. I'd go here more for the presentation. Service was super friendly and space is small and very clean. Great spot for a date if you don't mind a fairly pricey menu, save for the pho ($13), compared to your typical pho spot. read more

I went one day at lunch for some pho, I asked for no bean sprouts. What I received was pho with bean sprouts in it. I was also served hoisin sauce in a small bowl with a small shot of sriracha in it and a lime wedge. I was not served any additional condiments. I had to ask for jalapeño and additional sriracha. I also had to request chopsticks. I make a point to try the broth before adding anything because I am searching for a good place I can rely on to be consistent when the craving hits. This place is not it for me, for $12 (which is how much the pho was by itself! It was also in a smaller bowl than most other places would say is regular size) I expect a lot more bang for my buck. read more

Bt To Go & Bistro is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We were always a fan of BT To Go, but it was a bit far for us to grab for a weeknight takeout meal, but the new location is less than a mile away! Today was decided to dine-in. They have several tables inside, as well as 6 or so outside tables for 2 (Not sure if they can combine them for larger parties because the space is pretty narrow). We started with shrimp fresh rolls, followed by the duck banh mi and chili chicken salad. Overall, the food was delicious. I didn't love the peanut sauce with the fresh rolls - I thought it was very salty and lacked the fresh peanuty taste I love. The banh mi was so tasty...their bread is phenomenal. The portion of duck was pretty light (a few thin slices), which was a bummer. But the taste was excellent. The chili chicken salad was fresh and light, which I loved. I think the prices are a little high, but worth it for good quality ingredients. Look forward to going back! read more
