    Nice and cozy French restaurant. Had dinner with family for a birthday celebration. Served warm pieces of baguette with butter and pate. Their poutine is delicious, the beef was extremely tender and tasty. Mussels in garlic broth sauce was appetizing. Burger and fries were great. Hubby raved about his duck. Service was very good and we were checked upon frequently and our water glasses were refilled without having to ask. Finished with coffee and dessert.

    Bait and switch. What a shame. Wanted a quick cheap meal so opted for the "sole" sandwich. Was so disappointed as soon as I took a bite I realized the fish was frozen and was tilapia not sole. This place has severely gone down in quality over the years. So very sad

    Met a friend who loves this place. We both had their burgers for lunch. I had the hamburger lyonnaise. It was very good and hit the spot! Fried onions and bacon was what I needed with some tomatoes. The fries were delish. Loved the plate with holes to put the dressing cups in... Heard their dinner menu is delicious! So will be back to give that a try.

    Went here for a birthday lunch with Chrissy. I had the blackened sea bass with olives and potatoes in a French wine sauce that was very good. I also had the steak tartare that was absolutely delicious, I already want to go back for that that's how good it was.Chrissy ordered the onion tart with goat cheese that was very flavorful and melted in your mouth.she also had the flounder fillet in a wine sauce that she said was excellent. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other goodies on their menu.

    So disappointed. Quick note, I've never wrote a negative review in my life. My experience was just so awful and it's been bothering me so much, I was compelled to. My wife and I decided to go to dinner here, Saturday night for our anniversary. We decided after reading online that the restaurant had won best French restaurant in LI a number of years in a row. Ordered the soup du jour (white beans/veg) and mussels to start. Both were bland and ok at best. Definitely did not hit expectations. No worries, still looking forward to my main dish, Steak frites. Steak comes out and the bus boy decides to just throw the steak knives on the table. Ok, I cut into it and it was raw as raw could be (I ordered medium). Waitress (who was nice to be fair) never came back to check on us. I had to flag down one of fouled faced busboys to tell them that this steak was still mooing. Mind you, I never send food back but had no choice here. Finally got someone to take it back and it comes back, burnt to a crisp. Literally inedible. Again waitress never comes back to check. At this point, I just want to get out of there. I had to flag down another waitress and asked for the check. This waitress sees a full burnt steak sitting there, never asks how was everything or is everything alright. She simply dropped the check and kept it moving. I paid considering I started my career in the service industry, working as a busboy and eventually a waiter. I'm embarrassed to complain and I would never want to hurt working class people. Man however, do I regret leaving so meekly. Overall: Food- Awful, Service- Awful I don't know what happened with this place or if it was ever once great. Clearly though, no one seems to care now.

    Love that this place is close to home! Great addition in Huntington village, they don't take reservations so it's first come first serve, but let me tell you the food is worth it! First time I went was for my husbands birthday a few weeks ago and already been back since then! The place has a French cafe ambiance which I love, can't wait to sit outside in the summer and staff is very friendly and attentive! The escargot and French onion soup here is YUM! Escargot honestly melts in your mouth and has the perfect combo of garlic and butter with croutons! For my meal I had the tagliatelle beef bourguignon. The beef is so tender with the sauce and pasta which was so good I had to go back again another time to have! My friends had steak frites, chicken, and pork chops and they all raved about it. Not one bad review at this place! Will be back for sure, highly recommend!

    Had the chicken & spinach crepe. it was just ok...chicken was small diced cubes didnt seem to be fresh more like processed meat.

The waitstaff were very efficient and pleasant, giving my boyfriend and I time to look over the menu but coming soon after we'd set them down on the table. After some complimentary bread and very tasty garlic knots, we started with one of their appetizer specials to share, and were very pleased with it. It had fresh grilled Italian sausage served over garlicky cannellini beans and broccolini. Everything was balanced and well prepared. For our dinner we both got pasta; I got the butternut squash agnolotti (de zucca) with butter and sage, and he got the ricotta cavatelli bolognese. The bolognese was delicious, but I felt like the squash agnolotti needed something else to make it a proper dinner. The filling is just squash puree, no cheese, and the melted butter sauce is very very decadent. I would get something a bit more filling next time, but other than that I enjoyed my meal and our experience!

The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and it looks romantic. I had made reservations so we were seated immediately. It's funny to note that the place settings were placed next to each other instead of across from each other at a four person table. We usually prefer to face each other, but when it's Valentine's day why not be cute? We ordered a few drinks during our dinner, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Memere 75, Avion en papier. My favorite was definitely the Avion en papier which had a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, citrusy taste. They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day which unfortunately did not have the steak tartare i was interested in trying. But for $88, you get 3 courses: an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For our appetizers, we got the TARTARE DE THON (tuna tartare) and COCKTAIL DE CREVETTES GEANTES (shirmp cocktail). Between the two, i preferred the tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the only thing really special about it was the massive size of the shrimp and the freshly grated horseradish in the cocktail sauce. For our entrees, we got the CASSOULET DE CANARD and FILET MIGNON. The extremely tender duck leg confit was served with pancetta, white beans, toulouse sausage, and foie gras breadcrumb. It was rich, savory, fatty, and filling. All great words to describe food. The duck leg confit reminded me a little bit of a smoked turkey leg with the red coloring and shreddable texture. The filet mignon was served with pomme purée, wild mushrooms, and a bordelaise sauce. The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, but a bit under salted. The pomme purée aka mashed potatoes tasted like it was 50% butter so it was obviously delicious. Dessert was good, but my least favorite part of the meal. We got the TAHITIAN VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE and the VALRHONA CHOCOLAT POT AU CRÈME. Both were very sweet. The brûlée crust did not shatter well, but it otherwise had a nice creamy texture. The chocolate pot was covered in flaky feuilletine which gave a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate, but my wife found the brandied cherries overpowering. The cherries made me think of German chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Staff was quick to refill water and checked on us constantly. Pace of the meal was relaxed and I'd even say they were slow to bring us the check since we had been dining for over 2 hours. My wife wants me to bring her back for their bottomless brunch on a Sunday so I will eventually be back.

The duck wings had a great Asian, sticky-wing type of flavor (another first for me) and the bone marrow just melted in your mouth. If you like the fatty part of the steak, say "yes" to the marrow. *chefs kiss* For entrees we had the chicken leg special, steak frite (you get a choice of cut) and the salmon. We were all just taking bites off of each other's plate all night. The gravy that came with the chicken special was perfect and paired amazingly with the crispy skin of the chicken. The steak; cooked PERFECTLY! (You see the pics!) & that salmon in the beurre blanc?! More perfection. Like the good children we are, we ate all our food and felt we deserved dessert. We ordered two apple tarts, which they outsource, and the crème brûlée. The apples were sweet and tender and I never have any bad words for crème brûlée . We also ended our evening with some cappuccinos and a healthy pour of amaro noninno; just devine. To top it all off, we noticed a DJ setting up towards the end of dinner service. What began as the dining area quickly turned into a dance floor. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

I ordered UberEats from them before and was blown away by the tremendous offerings and generous portions. I decided to dine in and it was even better! The restaurant is located on the busy Northern Blvd between Morgan and Glenwood. The inside has a 19th century French ambiance, decorated with French posters, carpeted floors and a cozy warm dining area. Don't worry about the never ending traffic noise, commotion , and construction coming from outside. The calm and peaceful ambiance along with the music playing in the restaurant canceled out all the exterior noise. I opted in for their lunch buffet, which offered a ton of food for an amazing $18.95 deal which you can hardly find in this day and age. The restaurant gave a nice basket of warm bread with a generous amount of butter in a ramekin followed by a really good Tunisian salad with a little bit of everything. (fresh greens, cooked carrots, chickpea salad, diced cucumbers peppers and their take on the Ratatouille-- really good) I was given the option of getting their daily soup or the French Onion Soup with an up charge. I took the French option soup without any hesitation. Last time I had a good French onion soup was back when I attended college in upstate. Glad I got to try the one from here. The onion soup has an abundance of flavor with a generous amount of melted cheese and onions. The buffet selections were at the table. It came with two entrees (a chicken and a beef) cooked vegetables, mussels, mixed rice, cheese selection and slices bread cake. The entrees vary each day so be sure to call in and check. The chicken was moist, and juicy, served with a mushroom gravy. Similar to a Chicken Marsala dish. The stewed beef with mushrooms was nice and soft. The veggies included carrots and onions. The mussels were cooked to perfection, simmered in a nice buttery sauce. The meal also includes a cup of coffee or tea. What a great way to finish the meal. Marie was super nice and friendly. She gave me some insights on the food and the different menus they have on different days. A great establishment going strong for 47 years! Thank you Marie for everything. I will definitely be returning with my family.
