They have a 3-course meal for $25, which sounds like a steal for dinner. It only includes the starred main items on the menu and costs as much as or more than during the special. Service: Excellent, really attentive Ambiance: It's pretty busy during the early-bird special (4:30-5:30). Came in around 5:15, and there was only seating at the bar or on the patio. Inside looks nice and intimate. Escargo $13 (4/5): Baked with pesto butter. The snail itself tasted fresh, and the bread slices were fluffy inside and nicely toasted outside. Butter was rich and delicious. Caesar salad (4/5): Pretty standard Caesar salad. Read that the dressing is homemade. Black pepper fettuccine (5/5): Shrimp, salmon, sun-dried tomato, in a garlic cream sauce. You can definitely taste the pepper in the sauce, and delicious. Shrimp and salmon were fresh. If you prefer a light-tasting pasta, this is the one for you. Truffle ravioli (5/5): Ravioli stuffed with mushroom & ricotta cheese, served with olives, Calabrian peppers, garlic cream sauce with truffle essence. Thoroughly enjoyed this, quality ingredients and pasta. This is a rich dish. Chocolate lava cake $6 (5/5): Vanilla gelato was served on top, and the lava cake was moist. Just as good as I remembered. I came here almost two years ago and visited again last night. We made a reservation for 6:45pm and were seated right away upon arrival. We chose the window table by the entrance. We were the only ones on this side of the restaurant during our entire dinner, so that was nice. Lovely restaurant with dark wood and leather seat interiors. Our servers and wait staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I had some escargot to start off with. They're already taken out of the shell but I kind of enjoy doing it myself when I eat them. I got the seafood bouillabaisse for my entree, and it was well stocked with shrimp, mussels, and salmon along with some bread for dipping. Went with a friend and she is obsessed with their sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We also tried the crème brûlée and it was made perfectly! Seems like an earlier crowd who eats here, at least on a Thursday night. The menu includes a choice of salad, select entrée, and gelato. It was my friend's first time dining there, and she's vegetarian. We both ordered the Mista Salad with baby mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, sliced strawberries, gorgonzola cheese, candied nuts, and balsamic vinaigrette. So i wanted to try this place as they had a prefix meal for $25. Its Monday thru Friday from 4:30-5:30 only. You get a salad,entrée, and Gelato. That's a great deal anywhere in the city. I had their Caesar Salad and my husband got their Mista Salad. Both were yummy. For dinner i penne with chicken which was delicious and just the right portion. My husband had grilled salmon. Have been here twice over the last month and it's now one of my favorite SF neighborhood restaurants. They have two great specials everyday...$25 Early Bird from 4:30 - 5:30 and $45 Ribeye special. Both are 3 courses. In our two visits, we've had a variety of appetizers/sides and several entrees (braised beef and ribeye). All have been excellent! The appetizer mussels, patatas bravas, braised beef appetizer, salads are particularly outstanding. It's about 50 seats in inside the restaurant counting bar so service can be European at times but we enjoy that. Dinner or Linner ;-) should not be rushed. The ambiance can be both quiet and noisy depending on time of day. It was packed on a holiday Monday. The wine list is okay, not great, but we were recommended the 2021 Stone Cottage Napa Cab on last visit and it was fabulous! Highly recommend this boutique winery whose owner happens to live nearby. The lava cake tasted like a Wildfork lava cake and I mean that as a sincere compliment. The dark chocolate gelato is tasty. Parking is generally easy to find on street, or within walking distance. The front door is very heavy to open, but they are open! There's both indoor and outdoor seating (the latter which we used because we brought a dog), and some of the outdoor seating is in a shelter with walls which was good for fighting against the wind. The tables are far enough apart that you can easily have conversation. They immediately gave our dog a water bowl, which we appreciated. All the staff were so friendly and kind! We definitely felt taken care of despite being outside. We got the Burrata and the Bistro Salad to share, and I got the Chicken Marsala as my entree. I also got an Aperol Spritz. For dessert, we got the Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding, and, as a surprise, they gave me a piece of cheesecake with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate! So delightful and caring. Burrata: 4/5, very generous portion of burrata and delightful combination with pistachios! There was a lot of jam and not a lot of bread, but it was all good. Bistro Salad: 3/5, thankful they accommodated my request to have walnuts on the side! Nothing super exceptional but not bad. Aperol Spritz: 3/5, very standard drink though maybe a bit diluted to err on the side of caution concerning the bitter flavor of the Aperol. Chicken Marsala: 5/5, tender chicken with a generous amount of mushrooms! The mashed potatoes were great in texture and buttery in flavor, and the asparagus was nicely cooked. Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding: 4/5, a great warm flavor and the vanilla ice cream was a good creamy balance. The tart berries also helped cut through the sweetness. Birthday Cheesecake: 5/5, very kind of them to give! It was also creamy and delicious, and loved the berries. Overall, wonderful service and a great time. Both were really good, and I am not usually a salad person, but the touch of honey in the Bistro salad was the standout. It had a nice sweetness and was very enjoyable. For mains, we ordered the chicken marsala and the black pepper fettuccine. The fettuccine was just okay and not my favorite, but the chicken marsala was very tasty. The sauce was flavorful and something I would order again. We finished with gelato. It was fairly typical, but a nice way to end the meal. The atmosphere is mostly dark and pretty, which works well for a date night, but the super bright TVs at the bar playing sports felt out of place. It was a bit of a weird vibe to have an elegant setting mixed with a sports bar feel. The biggest downside was the service, which felt rushed and lacked attention. We sat down before 5:30, but since it was close to the cutoff for the early bird special, the waiter asked us multiple times what time it was to confirm. That interaction threw me off. After already saying we were ordering the special and still being within the time limit, it felt unnecessary and awkward. Overall, the food was solid and the early bird deal offers great value. I normally don't like or crave crab cakes but the crab cakes appetizer here is absolutely delicious! Sometimes I don't even care for the entrees because all I wanted was the crab cakes haha! The truffle ravioli pasta is amazing and I've come back for this dish twice in a month. My boyfriend's dad is a picky cook who criticizes food heavily and we're always on the hunt to find a place he'll enjoy and have even he liked the food here! The service is subpar unfortunately. We have arrived with reservations and made to wait over half an hour. Once we arrived with reservations and we were asked if we wanted to wait outside??? or at the bar and they seemed really inconvenienced that we would choose to wait at the bar on a cold winter SF evening. On another occasion, they forgot to give us menus for over 25 minutes after seating us then came to ask us for our orders despite seeing we had no menus. We did try getting any waiters attention to ask for menus during that time span and could not get anyone's attention. The lightning is beautifully designed, romantically dim and it glitters across the ceiling. Perfect to bring a date here. However don't let the service sway you from coming here to enjoy the tasty food! I still would come here again because the food is that good. read more

We had a truly lovely experience at Bistro Central Parc last night. There were three of us, and we're still singing praises of our delicious meals, not to mention the generous wine pours. It was such a lovely night that we dined outside. And unlike many restaurants with outdoor seating, there were no busses, not many cars -- just people here and there walking their dogs. Ah, peace! The menu has something for everyone. We all ordered different menu items, and were unanimous in our delight of each one. Everything was cooked perfectly -- our steaks were rare and medium rare as ordered, and the frites were crispy. All three of our desserts were outstanding. Since my original post I've been back to this restaurant for my birthday, regular Sunday dinner, and other friend's birthdays. I'm constantly recommending this restaurant to friends and colleagues. The servers are amazing and they make room for all sorts of requests. On my birthday last year my sister did a whole red table set up with candles and flowers. It was an addition to the already beautiful space provided. This restaurant is comfortable, familiar, aesthetically pleasing, affordable, and tasty. It's laden with children's laughter, happy birthday songs, anniversary dates, first dates, and simple evening dinners. Hmm, I think I should've read the reviews a little closer....and that would have probably hinted that brunch isn't exactly Bistro Central Parc's specialty. Having said that, we still enjoyed what we ordered, staff was friendly, and we were able to sit and enjoy Sunday brunch without any pressure so 3 stars on food and +1 on service. We ordered the truffle mushroom ravioli, the mushroom omelette, the shrimp omelette, and the blueberry pancakes as a family. Everything kind of had its pros and cons. The texture of the ravioli was excellent and you could definitely pick up the truffle essence. What I wasn't a huge fan of were the olives and roughly chopped chilis that physically elevated them on the plate. The olives looked really similar to the mushrooms but obviously were much saltier and didn't quite go with the creamy Calabrian chili sauce which was also a tad bit too salty in my opinion. 5 ravioli were a good portion size though. For the omelettes, I liked the thinness of the omelette but it seemed a little stingy overall in the ratio of egg to ingredients where there really wasn't enough egg. Eating seemed to be a bit of a struggle and not very cohesive. On the plus side, my mom was impressed at the use of medium shrimps in her shrimp omelette but felt like it was mostly bell peppers thereafter. Dad liked the combo of goat cheese and basil in the mushroom variant. My brother got the blueberry pancakes which were really fluffy. It featured a good amount of whole fresh berries, a generous scoop of sweet cream whipped cream, and a lot of berries whipped into the batter (it was positively purple). I think this was probably the best dish this time. All in all, we generally enjoyed the meal enough to peek at the dinner menu and that got us excited! The ribeye special looked appealing. And that $25 dinner special? Worth it, just on paper alone. Probably won't come back for brunch but certainly intrigued by dinner. read more

Not only does this place have the best deal for a 3 course meal at $25, but the prices are very, very reasonable for the food quality and ambiance of the restaurant. It's a little off the beaten path in a residential block of Nopa, and parking may be a little tough to find because of it. I also recommend reservations since it's a small place and can get filled quickly. I ordered a beef carpaccio, bouillabaisse, and a rib-eye 3 course. For starters, the 3 course salad was really good - it even came with tasty strawberries. The beef carpaccio appetizer is a must order; slice raw beef with bread and vinegar never tasted so good (even if its my first time). The beef was very fresh, and the presentation and quality makes it worth ordering. Plus it's a good opportunity to try raw beef! The bouillabaisse was pretty good, but if you ordered the dish before, it's pretty much the same thing. The portion size is pretty big, so come with a hungry tummy! The rib-eye is just, well a steak that was cooked to however you like it. I could go on with the juicy meat, etc. but it's a decent steak nonetheless. I liked how the fries weren't too thin, and are freshly fried. The chocolate gelato we ordered was so rich and creamy, I almost asked where they got it from. It wasn't too sweat, and taste like ice cream of higher quality. Service was very attentive and we were always greeted and served with smiles.
