A great place to sit outside on a warm day. The hostess and waitstaff very friendly and attentive. We had to wait for a table but were able to sit out on the grassy area. The menu had something for everyone. I enjoyed the Fattoush salad. My husband had the fish and chips. The others had the pulled pork sandwich. There were specialty drinks and a few items for dessert. Happy Mother's Day 2022. We had a few options for today but the wife said she'd like to try something new. So I said I know a place. We went around 2pm. The host told us it would be be around 20 minutes. Then she told us that the bar out back was open and we could get a drink while we waited. We walked around and were greeted extremely pleasantly by the bartender (the name on the check Alistair). We decided to eat outside as our table was in the sun and nice and warm. We ordered the two specials lobster sliders, avocado crab toast, chop salad and the Brussel sprout app. All the food was very tasty and I would order again. The entire staff was extremely pleasant and very welcoming. I saw on Instagram the had a halibut special that look amazing I just hope I can get it in the future as I'm sure I'll eat there a few times a year. read more

Great spot with a great vibe!! Inside and outside seating, but sit outside for a unique experience. Picnic and regular tables with lots of green grass/trees and vintage nautical elements. We just had drinks and an appetizer but all the food looked amazing. Our Thai Brussels Sprouts were very tasty and the craft cocktails were creative and delicious. Atmosphere was great and we were excited to try this restaurant, however the service was exceptionally slow and we only ordered water for drinks and they had a runner for food. Other tables around us were also complaining about slow service. The food came out and we were underwhelmed by the lack of flavor. Very cool atmosphere. More importantly solid delicious well cooked food complimented by cocktails built with fresh squeezed juices and creative alcohol pairings. Our bartender was attentive and very hospitable. She told us that she has been working for the restaurant group since they opened their first restaurant on Cape Porpoise (always a good sign of a socially thoughtful owner). We started with the onion strings which came with a surprisingly delicious smoked garlic infused ketchup filled ramekin. We also had the shrimp cocktail. Shrimp was cooked just right and came with a house made "Tito's" cocktail sauce. My wife had the fried clams which were absolutely amazing served with house made tartar sauce, cole slaw and, house cut fries. I had the burger cooked perfectly to temp (medium Rare). There was plenty of food and we could barely finish our meals. Another yelper complained that the place was a spot for people that wish they were from Boston or Cambridge. Absolutely fantastic space, staff, food, and beverage list! My sister and I grew up locally (Noble High grads) and were back in town for a wedding. As part of the weekend, we managed to get two groups of our friends together. The early crew sat down at 4:30. The latecomers sat down at 5:30. Throughout all of the chaos involving 13 people over two parties swapping out spaces at one table, the hostess and waitress crushed it. Never frazzled and super patient. On the food, everything I sampled was great - truffle fries and the bolognese were what I can vouch for. Beverage-wise, their beer list was perfect for this East Coaster in Colorado and they suggested a nice cab to go along with dinner. And the outdoor space is great. Very Maine and very comfortable. Stopped in for lunch on our way into Ogunquit and had a delightful meal here. Wonderful, friendly service. Fun indoor atmosphere. Fantastic food with some atypical offerings. Would absolutely return when back in the area. We had the soup of the day, a curry butternut squash soup that was so yum. Husband had the crab cakes and raves about them. Son had the fish stew and loved it. I had the soup and then the Fattoush Salad, which totally hit the spot. GOBS of olives and perfectly fried falafel. Daughter had a burger. Fries were amazing. Always great friendly service and pretty decent food. The space is decorated is a very cozy way and despite the tight space they seem to make do very well without feeling crowded. I love going here mostly because of the staff. They always seem to remember you as if you're a celebrity of sorts. We had some challenges with timing from arrival until departure = it took much longer to be seated and served than what would "normally" be considered ok. But we know nothing is normal anymore. Otherwise food, drinks and service were fine. Good value. Fun environment and good vibe. We are local so we've been to this restaurant many times. It's a great place and while tonight's experience (much longer wait than estimated) wasn't as good as usual we know that this place is special. It's our go to place in the area. This is hard to relate; not sure it's intended to be so kid friendly (outdoor run around space). Good drinks, the Strawberry Basil Mule was refreshing and strong enough to letter. We started with the Taquitos, they were excellent! They take some basic good entrees and as a nice flare to make it very delicious and tantalizing. I had the rock shrimp stir fry as an appetizer and it was a home run! I could have eaten 3 helpings! For an entree they had seared scallops, mashed potatoes, brocolli I and a smoked tomato, vinegar compote that added a nice twist the seared scallops. Bartenders are great! Unfortunately, if I could, I would give zero stars for the management of this place. Got to the restaurant at ~5:45PM tonight. We knew there would be a wait and were ready for it. Spent $150 at the bar, which again was fantastic. We waited an hour and twenty minutes into the "worst case scenario" of the 1.5 hour wait to find the hostess cancelled our place on the waitlist (9 people, 5 being children). Went up to address the issue and was told we were the next in line and it was a mistake. Waited an additional 40 minutes and was still not seated with no idea of how long the additional wait would be. Hostess,who didn't care, offered to bring a manager over. I spoke with the manager and she also clearly didn't care. She told me she was "doing the best she could to seat us" and the hostess was a temp. This could have ended a bunch of different ways such as offering to split our party to seat us next or sending so apps for the kids. Instead, my daughter left crying because she just wanted to be able to eat at 8PM. Avoid this place and their terrible management! read more

WOW!! What an amazing spot. Great service, beautiful atmosphere with an outside bar. We were looking for something low key but quaint and this dog friendly place was perfect. We ended up going twice in one week when we stayed in Wells. The live music on Thursday was phenomenal, the band merkari was there. Disappointed We were excited to try this new restaurant when we heard that it was owned and run by one of our previous favorite restaurants in Maine. It is small, decorated nicely and the staff was pleasant but that is as far as the compliments go. Even though the menu and pricing of items are the same/similar as to the previous restaurant, the portions were smaller and lacking meat ( for the bolognaise) . It would have been nice to have a piece of garlic bread to go with the pasta or at least have that option on the menu. The mussels in the entree were so small there was not enough to eat. We didn't know that a glass of soda was $5 each until the bill came. This is absurd!! Very little shredded chopped lobster salad filled with chopped onions and shredded lettuce, no lobster taste, just the onion! Clam chowder was bland, no clams, full of potatoes...could have been potato soup...It appears to be a true tourist trap! This place is a hidden gem! Just outside of the busy downtown the bitter end is a perfect fit for a night out! Friendly staff craft cocktails and an amazing outdoor bar and patio. If your looking for great food and a easygoing vibe the bitter end is it! They do get busy and have a wait so if your in a rush it may not be the best fit ( hungry kids or looking to grab a bite on the run.. maybe not in the summer) although I do love to swing in for lunch and have a seat at the bar!
