As soon as you stop into the cafe, you notice all the cool posters and characters that they have. From looking at the menu, you notice a lot of creative drinks that you don't find anywhere else. I came back for the first time since graduating from college, and it seems that this mom and pop shop is now much hipper than it used to be! They are still serving a variety of specialty lattes, but now also have a selection of pastries and different breakfast items. They also have a seasonal drink menu which they rotate through! I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich (canadian bacon, pesto, egg, and cheese) which was quite filling and super delicious. I get the feeling these are not made in-house but are instead assembled elsewhere and simply heated up on the spot. No complaints there though, given their lack of a kitchen. I also really liked their sesame latte, which I thought would either be too overwhelming or underwhelming in flavor, but they did a great job in flavoring the latte so that there was just the perfect amount of sesame flavor shining through. This was a great place to stop and study away from home, although getting the internet code during peak hours was quite difficult as the employees seemed really overwhelmed and short-staffed. This place is really creepy and I wouldn't feel safe returning. I was drinking coffee with my friend outside, and was inside the café for no more than 5 minutes: to order my first drink and croissant, and then to order a latte to go. Somehow, during those 5 minutes, while I was in line to order my latte to-go, I saw a movie playing on the wall directly in view of the line, in which a woman was literally beheaded with a cleaver on-screen. What the actual hell. This was a random Wednesday morning in July, not Halloween; and it wasn't one of those scenes where the beheading was merely implied--it was clearly depicted, and not from a distance like with Missandei in the last season of GoT . I don't think it's unreasonable for me to want to go into a coffee shop without seeing someone beheaded, or even the gory knife violence leading up to that part. There were kids in here too. I hadn't been here in a few years but I don't remember it being dark and creepy like this. I'm still shaking from the experience and I hit a curb while I was driving away because my mind was so disturbed. The rose latte was unremarkable and they don't fill reusable cups, which I think is unreasonable in 2023. I am so sorry for leaving a review like this, but I know there are people like me who would not want to accidentally wander in here and see something like that. read more

The couch place had left over cups which was not cleaned. I helped and cleaned them myself. The barista just said "sorry about that.." and continued doing her work. After we got our lattes, she went into a corner and what sounded like doom scrolling. Either this place does not value how to treat their baristas or they are not at all paid enough! The menu looked promising. I saw that the place offered paninis and salads, which was perfect since I wanted something savory. I arrived at Bitter + Sweet around 6:00pm on a Friday. It was a cute little cafe with a splash of pop culture. The cafe held space for everyone. It had chill vibes for a casual date or study time, and there were board games and arcade video games to keep kids entertained. There were 2 more hrs until closing time at 8pm, but to my dismay, Bitter + Sweet ran out of food. I couldn't get a sandwich and salad like I would've wanted. There were two pastries left: a ham and cheese croissant and cinnamon scone. Of course the person ahead of me had to get the ham and cheese croissant, so I was stuck with the cinnamon scone. When you're hungry, you don't care am I right? The scone wasn't bad by any means albeit not what I had the palate for at the time. I did order a honey lavender latte, and I enjoyed it. The drink one of their seasonal specialties I believe. The honey lavender notes were very subtle. I liked that Bitter + Sweet carried oatmilk, which has been my jam lately. read more

My fiance usually goes for an iced vanilla latte, but we noticed there wasn't an option on the menu. After going through the reviews, we noticed that there have been others mentioning that it's a little odd that a coffee shop doesn't offer something as simple as a vanilla latte. Since that option wasn't available, he ordered an iced mocha. When I went through the reviews, I saw that a lot of people were talking about the Red Velvet Latte and that's what I ordered. When we got to the plaza, we were able to park in the covered parking garage and walk out to the coffee shop. There was a good amount of people having coffee outside and a few people inside as well. When we walked in, there was a guy making coffee and no one else. He made eye contact with us but didn't greet us. We waited a little bit and then a girl came out to take our order. After getting our drinks, I was excited about my Red Velvet Latte due to it being so red! I was looking forward to the flavor, but the flavor just wasn't there. It tastes like I was just drinking an iced coffee with red food coloring. My fiance said that his iced mocha was okay. What a cute coffee shop! Cupertino has everything, including this amazing coffee shop! I came here once to get a coffee and decided to go with a basic house coffee with oat milk, which was only $2! I expected it to be like a boba shop house coffee but it was literally just drip coffee and surprisingly it tasted pretty great! I saw all the cool creative lattes they had on the menu, so I decided to splurge and got a black sesame latte w/ oat milk instead, and didn't drink the house coffee. The latte was amazing! Not only was it beautiful, it was rich and creamy, and I was wishing that my latte never stopped. If you're a black sesame fan, I highly recommend this latte since it tastes like melted black sesame ice cream, but coffee version. I can't wait to go back and try their other flavors! I chanced upon this as I was craving for my morning cup of Matcha latte when visiting the neighborhood. At first, it looked like a cool eclectic cafe with interesting drinks. The tattooed guy was grumpy and got annoyed with my questions as I was trying to figure out my matcha latte options - with low fat milk/ milk alternatives, unsweetened. This place has a really cool concept: retro, gamer, collector vibes with a modern touch. They have collectible cards and figurines on the walls along with free arcade games (Pac Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). The coffee is really good and they don't upcharge it compared to normal coffee shops. I got the honey lavender latte. It was a little too creamy, but wonderfully made and I really enjoyed it. I love Philz coffee but sometimes I'd like to try something new. This week we decided to try this cute little coffee shop in Cupertino. There are plenty of parking in the area. The coffee shop is also very clean. Please beware that they can get pretty crowded. If you do not want your drinks in a Togo cup please make sure to specify. They may not be able to accommodate the request when they are too busy. We tried regular Latte, Red Velvet Latte and Black Sesame Latte. Happened across this place while out on a walk. Sounded really good from these reviews. Normally I'm a coffee fiend but today it was raining while I was walking so I was more in the mood for hot tea. The shop had a great vibe a soon as I walked in. It wasn't overly crowded (pre-lunch hour on a Friday) but maybe 10 patrons, a diverse mix of folks. There were two baristas and the service was quick and efficient, not long of a wait. They were making some of their famous red velvet lattes when I stepped up so I was momentarily tempted to order one, but I decided to stick with my craving for an earl gray latte. After ordering, I was standing around checking things out and there are so many things that catch the eye. A large Squishy Grogu! A collection of adorable birds way up high. All kinds of game references and figures. Bob Ross lifting weights. A muscle bound Pikachu. Before I knew it, my earl grey was ready. I loved that they use a loose tea sachet vs standard teabag. And I don't think I've ever seen steamed oatmilk made so we'll- very creamy. I immediately liked this place and look forward to coming back when I can spend more time hanging out. This is a great little gem tucked away next to the Cupertino library. With a lot of coffee shops getting super crowded lately or having 1 hour wait times (cough cough Philz), it was refreshing to have a chill experience. They have a great selection of pour overs, drip coffees, espresso drinks. I had a pour over that uses sight glass beans with a splash of oat milk and it was well done. I've been consistently coming here pretty early on the weekends right around 8:30 in the morning and I must admit the drinks are excellent! I've been working my way through the menu, but from the Frozen Drinks, I have tried the Red Velvet, Mocha Chip, and Cookies & Cream flavors. Of the three, I think I preferred the Red Velvet one the most. The Mocha Chip frozen drink was surprisingly strong, and not as sweet as compared to other coffee shops that sell something similar. The classic Cookies & Cream was delicious and definitely a safe choice ;) They have an option to add a shot of espresso to the frozen blended drinks. I've tried it with the Mocha Chip and Cookies & Cream flavors and I think it definitely goes better wit the Cookies & Cream. (Next on my list is to try the Red Velvet drink with a shot of espresso). As for the teas, I've tried the Bancha Green Tea (iced) and the Iron Goddess Oolong Tea (iced). The Iron Goddess Oolong Tea was quite good. The Bancha Green Tea reminded me of matcha tea even though there was no matcha used. read more

So, Red Velvet Lattes floated around my mind and I thought: now that's a really sweet treat for some people I love! Came here for hot chocolate on Christmas Eve. It's a really unique spot with a great vibe -- lots of puzzles up on the walls (which I think were completed by customers), cute plushes and figurines for decoration, and an unfinished puzzle on one of the tables for customers to work on (though it was an ahegao puzzle, which I found a little off-putting since kids were coming into the cafe as well, lol). I ordered a hot chocolate as I've been on a bit of a hot chocolate spree recently, but it ended up being super milky; the taste wasn't very chocolatey and it had a very creamy aftertaste that I didn't like. I wanted to go back and order a peach white tea, since that might be redeeming, but they had run out that day (which I don't fault them for). I got the red velvet latte for myself and the matcha latte for my sister. I thought the red velvet did not stand out; if I had been given the coffee with the lid on and had been told it was a normal mocha, I would have believed it. Nonetheless, it would have still been a really good mocha, with rich flavor and a thick creaminess throughout. The matcha latte was very good. There was a nice balance between the matcha tea, the milk, and the sweetness, and my sister certainly loved the drink. The interior of the store looked really cool too; they had some arcade games set up, but unfortunately, because of Covid, obviously no indoor seating of any sorts.
