Bitty & Beau's Coffee opened its long-awaited Jacksonville location in the heart of San Marco in November 2022. Having heard a lot about the company and its mission to provide employment to individuals with disabilities, I was eager to give it a shot a few days after it opened when I happened to be in the neighborhood. The shop itself is pleasant and inviting- there's a lot of tables to sit at as well as some bar seating along the front windows. As the location is newly opened, everything is bright and clean. I had to take out my order, but it would be a nice spot to have coffee with a friend or to get some work done. The menu includes all of your usual hot and cold coffee/espresso/milk drinks along with smoothies and a small selection of baked goods (bagels, cookies, cakes, muffins). Prices are in line with what you'd pay at other shops. I purchased a brewed coffee for myself and an iced latte for my wife. The brewed coffee was too bitter for my taste, but I tried the iced latte and found it to be strong but smooth. Next time, I'd go for a latte. The service was great, especially considering the shop just opened a few days earlier. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Bitty & Beau's is an outstanding addition to the San Marco neighborhood. If you're in the neighborhood and would like to relax over a cup of coffee, give Bitty & Beau's a try. read more

This was my first visit to Bitty and Beau's. I've heard about it in the news but never been. I was in the South Bank area, not far from San Marco so I literally searched for coffee nearby. I wanted something different than the traditional. The store was clean and there was merchandise everywhere. The cashier was sweet. Iaked for something sweet. I was advised that the chocolate in the white mocha makes it sweet. So I ordered a small. They don't accept cash so thankfully I had my debit card handy, although I was intending to pay in cash. The coffee itself was a little sweet but not quite as strong as I'd like. I did enjoy the fact that I was given a playing card as the "pager" to retrieve my drink. read more

"More than just a place to grab coffee" is the perfect description for Bitty & Beau's! Located in the heart of San Marco square, Bitty & Beau's is radically inclusive- just the way I like it! Upon entry we were greeted by Diamond and her beautiful smile! This place has a great vibe that will warm even the coldest of hearts. Ordering was a breeze and there is so much fun merch! I had to pickup a "future employee" for my toddler! I ordered an almond milk cappuccino, strawberry banana smoothie, oatmeal, and a strawberry shortcake cake pop. The cappuccino was very good and the smoothie is one of the best I've ever had! The oatmeal is the premade/just add water type but was very good. The star of the show in my toddlers opinion was the cake pop! He ate every last crumb! There is plenty of seating and also a couple high chairs for the little ones which is always a welcome surprise! I loved that I was asked to place a pin with where I was from when I picked up my order. I can't wait to come back to Bitty & Beau's the next time I'm in the San Marco area! read more

I went in to this neat little coffee shop that has a cause near and dear to me Autism! Disabilities in general. They employ kids with special abilities and guide them to work with the public in a life experience they may otherwise not get. I've been wanting to check this shop out since I heard about the great cause they support, so I took my seven month old son after one of his doctor's appointments for a morning coffee and snack. When I walked in, I noticed how warm and cozy the place was. There's one wall loaded with goods to buy, like shirts, cups, and other items with their logo. I was greeted immediately by a sweet girl who took my order of a caramel latte and apple cinnamon muffin. She was thorough in asking if I wanted whipped cream, hot or cold, and the size of the cup. For both items it was around $11. I didn't have to wait long for my coffee and muffin. They even warmed up the muffin for me without asking! The muffin had lots of cinnamon and apples in it, with a gooeyness that oozed throughout and tasted delicious. The coffee was perfect as well, and I was able to sit at one of the tables and enjoy a mini date with my son. It's located conveniently near the Square with plenty of parking. I'd suggest going early in the morning to beat traffic. I enjoyed my visit and hope to be back soon to support, along with signing up for their loyalty program. read more

I was looking for a coffee shop to hang out and get some work done, and a friend recommended this coffee shop. Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved every second of my time there! The employees were extremely kind, making conversation and genuinely happy with their jobs. I ordered a cappuccino which was delicious. I wasn't hungry, but their food options looked very good and I will be sure to come back and order food next time. Beautiful, bright, and cozy coffee shop. The service is excellent and the coffee and baked goods are delicious. Truly a wonderful place to sit and relax with a good book or catch up on some work. However, that's not the best part! This company serves as a human rights advocacy group. We are a human rights movement disguised as a coffee shop! Bitty & Beau's Coffee employs individuals with intellectual and developmental abilities. Open since November, 2022, we are located in the heart of Jacksonville in the San Marco Square and open 7 days a week until 4:00. We would be honored to cater you next event, and delivery is available. K-cups, 12 oz. and 5 lb. bags of beans are available in-store for purchase to enjoy at home and/or work. Our menu items include delicious breakfast sandwiches, a variety of burritos, gourmet muffins, bagels with various spreads, huge cinnamon rolls, cake pops, Krispy treats and vegan/gluten-free brownie and cookies. In addition to hot and iced coffee, we have hot or iced lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, chai, matcha and Smith hot teas. We also have hot chocolate and frozen hot chocolate, espresso, cold foam, cold brew, exquisite Boba teas, iced teas, fruit smoothies and an array of frappes. Inside was a great chill vibe with relaxing music playing in the background and it's a fantastic place to get coffee, hang out or do some work. There are several coffee spots in the Riverside/Avondale area and Bold Bean is one of the best. If you're a coffee fan, Bold Bean is a must if you're in the Riverside area.

Regarding the food, I have never ordered food from there so I cannot speak to it, but they do have a toaster oven device here where they can heat up food. It seems as if they can make any drink hot or cold. I also added a couple of cookies for $4. I then found a table and settled in with a good book. The staff will call you when your order is ready. The latte was sweet and like sipping a coconut macaron. The cookies were a little hard but all in all a welcome snack. The interior is a little loud due to the high roof and general clutter of a coffee shop.

Well, this will be my 49th review on a coffee shop and I'm very happy to cover Grounds of Grace! First and foremost, yes, it's a shop that exists to provide service to customers with excellent hot and cold beverages. However, its main reason for existence is ministry. Yes, it's a ministry to the community in that it brings our young people in to learn the coffee business, along with many other ministry activities in the community. It also sports a large bus outside the building in the parking lot. It's not there for decor. It's also used to provide ministry throughout the area as well. How in the world did I get the feeling I wanted to ride the Sunday School but that took me to church when I was a young kiddo again! Yeah, that brought back the memories! Grounds of Grace started up in 2020 (during Covid of all things). But the building came to existence around 2023. There is much to appreciate in the work and positive effect they have on others - I saw some of that during my visit. Yes, I did visit to grab a coffee beverage too! The day was warm so I departed from my usual hot white latte and went with a spring specialty offering. Katie, the fantastic barista who assisted me, told me about the specialty menu and I saw immediately that I had to get the strawberry cheesecake white mocha latte!! I took the frap version. But this is key! I mentioned the drink probably has a high sugar content, and YES it does! However, the shop will offer to make it for you with half the sugar, which I chose. Truthfully, I was delicious! That's because I could really taste the coffee and other flavors blended evenly together. Make sure you ask for the half sugar on their specialty drinks if you wish for a lower sugar content. On another note, I really love the interior of Grounds of Grace. They have a pretty large space in their building with varied seating from chairs, half couches, elevated seating, and regular table seating. It wasn't busy during my Saturday visit, but some folks did stop by. It's a very pleasant atmosphere with lowered-volume Christian music playing. Remember, this is a Christian ministry, but Grounds of Grace welcomes all people to come visit and enjoy what they offer. They do have a section with accessories, such as shirts, mugs, etc., it you want to purchase some and further help their ministry. I really think this is a great thing for our community and I had a wonderful time here. It was one of those moments where I felt like I a got a dose of heaven for a moment of time! Come visit Grounds of Grace! What they do for kids and the community, along with creating great coffee beverages, it's surely worth your visit! Recommend: VERY HIGH
