Located on the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach property. The restaurant isn't very big but has both indoor and outdoor seating. There's TVs all around showing different sports. The food was good, however a bit on the pricy side for what it is.

Came here for the holiday decorations and wow! This place is so cool! Loved all the decor and details! They decorated from top to bottom and made it look so festive inside and out! Such a great backdrop for every photo! Drinks were also very good and loved the cool mugs they were in!

They go all out for the holidays -- Christmas décor in literally every square inch! It's so festive and really sets the mood. We arrived right when they opened, so service was a little slow at first since a crowd came in all at once, but it was understandable. We ordered the green bean fries, and they were really tasty, especially with the creamy pink dipping sauce. So good! The poke bowl was fresh and delicious, topped with a light teriyaki sauce that didn't overpower anything. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth checking out during the holidays.

Pete Sunset Grill during the holidays is SUCH a vibe The drinks were yummy and came in the cutest little decorated mugs -- festive, fun, and totally Instagram-worthy. The bartenders really make this place shine, and Ben was freaking AWESOME tonight!!! He made our drinks super quick, sooo delicious, and clearly knows what he's doing. Plus, Ben likes to sing and dance behind the bar and brought the energy ALL night -- it was impossible not to have a good time Shoutout to Kristen too, who was just as awesome. Between Ben and Kristen, the service was top-tier and they truly made our night. You can tell they enjoy what they do, and that energy spreads to the whole bar. We went on a weekday and it surprisingly wasn't too packed, which was a huge plus. Fair warning though: parking is a pain in the butt so plan ahead. Overall, amazing holiday atmosphere, fun drinks, incredible service, and great vibes. We'll definitely be back -- especially if Ben and Kristen are working!

Pete's is a fun spot. It's not a place for fine dining, but more for a fun atmosphere and a nice location. Order at the bar (which gets crowded) and they bring your food to you. I've only had the fish tacos and I like them and will keep ordering them. Yes, I should try something new! Drinks, chips and guac are also good.

We like coming here for the Christmas themed decorations every year. And every year, I forget to make reservations, which so highly recommend LOL The restaurant is always fully booked this time of the year, and we are always lucky that we get a table. This year we were seated outside, but it was perfect for the young one to be able to run around looking at the decorations. We had heaters that kept us warm and the ambiance was much calmer outside. I'm removing a star because the food is only ok. It's not bad, but no one had a dish they would write home to Mom about. Overall, it's the festive holiday spirit we come for.

We were staying at the Hyatt and were looking for a late dinner and walked down to Pete's Sunset Grille, and it was such a fun surprise--especially during the holidays. The Christmas decorations were absolutely wild in the best way: wall-to-wall festive, cozy, and over-the-top, which instantly put us in the holiday spirit. This is a casual spot where you order at the bar, but don't let that fool you--the food and drinks are solid. They were also offering Christmas drink specials, which made it a great place to grab a festive cocktail and unwind. For food, everything we tried was great: I had the Mele Kalikimaka, which came with fresh poke and tons of delicious veggies--super fresh and flavorful. My dad ordered the fish tacos and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. My mom had the butternut squash soup and grilled cheese, and wow--the sandwich was overflowing with cheese and grilled to perfection. We also saw the chicken pot pie come out to another table, and it looked incredible. It's served in a bowl with a flaky crust on top, then they flip it onto the plate so the crust ends up on the bottom. Definitely on my list for next time. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick without sacrificing quality, which we really appreciated since it was later in the evening. Overall, this is a great spot if you're looking for a drink, some good food, and a fun, festive atmosphere--especially during the holidays. Would absolutely come back!

Missing the spirit of Christmas? Step into Pete's during December and start reminiscing about your youth when there was snow on the ground (I'm originally from the east coast ) and lights everywhere!! The decor and matching sweaters from the staff add to the ambiance. The food is delicious and portions are enough for the average eater.

Service and food is fast but it's healthy and good! Simple if you are looking for something more on the quick side. Love outdoor seating as well. Vibes are dope there!

Surprisingly the food was really good! I thought the salmon poke bowl looked small but it was loaded with so much protein I filled up pretty quickly. Salmon poke bowl comes with half rice and salad, edamame, seaweed salad, avocado, crab salad, pickled daikon, and cucumbers. It was so delicious! The steak burger was cooked medium rare. It was so tender for a piece of steak. It really felt like eating a burger patty but tender and juicy. Staff was very friendly and service was great.

A cute restaurant, especially on Halloween! I can't say the service was the best or the food was that good on this latest visit, but Pete's was decorated so well for Halloween. I still liked the burger, but the servers were not friendly or helpful during our meal. Better luck next time!

We had booked a reservation ahead of time as we knew it would be difficult to do walk in. Once we arrived, checking in was very easy and we were seated right away. The servers were very nice and answered our questions. They did let us know that some of the Christmas mugs won't be available, which was totally fine with us. The drinks were very cute and quite large as well. The overall interior of this place did not disappoint and you can tell there was a lot of effort placed into decorating everything!

We came here for Pete's Christmas Vacation set up. The place is definitely a bit of Temu Christmas decor threw up in it. Super cool tho every corner had something to see. Cute set ups. Plenty of photo props. We made reservations bc this place is crowded as stated it was ok not too packed. We sat and quickly ordered drinks. The menus were created for Christmas theme . Names of the food choices were changed Christmas names. Prices were 16-20 each drink and only special one will be served it in a Tiki cup. When we sat we received a menu with decent choices of appetizers to entrees. Tho we also got a drink menu with some different appetizers available. We asked to order from it, but we couldn't bc the Bar side had that menu. I would go to the bar side they had better choices. We ordered the Chicken pot pie table service and lettuce be merry salad. The server ran out so quick flipped that crusty flaky crust poured the chicken mixture so quick. Man she ran thru that so fast. No great table service there. I was so disappointed with that service and dish. The flavor was good. The ratio of chicken pot pie mixture to top crust was 2/5 the filling was what seemed less than 1 cup. The crust was huge so we mainly ate flaky bread. $25 skip this do not recommend unless you can buy a second scoop. The salad was $18 and was the size of a 5inch bowl. Come on it's lettuce at least the topping might be pricey but the lettuce ratio was so minimal. Flavor was good . Toasted pecans, cheese, golden beet but the menu said special candy cane or striped beet which made the theme cute . But there was only 2 slivers of it on top. Let's just say we were still hungry when we left with a pricey bill, we went to get food elsewhere. Parking was $10 with validation. Valet . Also upon arrival we weren't asked if we wanted to be outdoor seating bc the Dome outside would have been fun for the Hype of this Pop up bummer that we didn't get offered for that experience .

It was happy hour and we got our beers for $6. We had two each. We had the roasted brussel sprouts as a shared appetizer and it was fantastic. It was done in a balsamic vinaigrette reduction with small pieces of salami fried in. Out of this world good. My wife had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, grilled, with just regular fries and really Loved it. I had the bacon & blue burger with regular fries and it was fantastic. They were slammed when we went in around 4:15pm with an unscheduled nsoftball team eating and it did take some time for them to get to us, but once they did everything went great. A beautifully curated whiskey tasting experience…read more My husband and I attended the whiskey tasting at Matter of Craft for his birthday, and it exceeded every expectation. The mixology was exceptional. The Gold Rush (lemon, honey, and whiskey) was fresh and balanced, and the smoked walnut cocktail was creative without being overpowering. I typically don't enjoy Old Fashioneds -- they can lean too strong or overly sweet -- but this one was perfectly blended and easily one of the best I've tasted. The food pairings were just as thoughtfully executed, from toast points with roasted garlic and blue cheese to jalapeño poppers, brisket, wings, and a decadent chocolate molten cake to finish. What truly stood out was the atmosphere and service. We made our reservation only a couple of hours before the event, and the staff graciously rearranged seating so we could sit with our friends. The patio heaters, string lights, and intimate setting made it feel like a beautifully produced private event. It was a memorable birthday evening, and we will absolutely be back.

There were limited wines options this night but I think that's partly because the menu was "curated." Lots of non-alcoholic options which was a pleasant surprise. Menu is on the pricier side. This night we came because they were hosting the food pop up "Three Pigs" which offered a variety of yakitori skewers. We ordered one of everything and my favorites were the beef, chicken thigh, and cucumber salad. The bread alone was worth it, crispy and blistered on the outside, soft in the middle, perfect for soaking up the broth. The French onion soup was rich and deeply savory, with a broiled cheese cap that held together beautifully when you broke through it with your spoon, finished with fresh herbs for a little brightness. For the main, the grilled lamb chop was cooked exactly to temperature, great char on the outside, tender and juicy in the center. Had a glass of white wine which was recommended by the manager/sommelier while we browsed the menu. As our friends have dined here several times, we started to nibble on the whipped ricotta, burratina, empanadas and the pan con tomate w/jamon. All 4 were delicious but the empanadas were amazing! Our table was ready once we finished the 4 appetizers. Next up we decided on the tiger prawns, branzino and seared scallops. Thought the prawns were a tad bit overcooked as it was a bit tough. The scallops were well seasoned and especially loved the saffron risotto. Finally, the branzino was cooked perfectly but wasn't a fan of the romesco sauce as it tasted sweet to me. Though we were absolutely stuffed, we ended up trying their creme brûlée, gelato/sorbet flight and their olive cake. I absolutely loved the creme brûlée as the custard was super light. The gelato/sorbet flight was also tasty but sadly wasn't a fan of the olive cake. The place was packed and patrons seemed to stay for a few hours at a time. Only complaint is with how loud it can get with both the music and patrons drinking countless bottles of wine. Service was phenomenal and would definitely head back if in the area. Yesterday, I came here for my birthday lunch with my mom after she made a reservation, and honestly, I wish we had just gone somewhere else. We sat down right at our 1:00 reservation and then waited 35 minutes just to get a drink menu. Not food. Not to order. Just the menu for drinks. After we finally ordered, the champagne showed up about 20 minutes later. It was served in wine glasses, which feels like basic wine bar knowledge, but apparently not here. When we asked to switch them to champagne glasses, the waiter brought out smaller wine glasses. Not exactly good etiquette for a place that leans so heavily on its bar concept. The whipped ricotta appetizer came out even later, around the 65 minute mark. As an appetizer. It was fine, probably the best thing we had, but "fine" after that kind of wait is not a positive. From there, everything just dragged. It took almost an hour for my mom's meatballs to come out, and when they did, they were raw. Not slightly underdone. Fully pink in the middle. She sent them back and was so turned off she didn't even want to eat anything else. I ordered a salad and specifically asked for light dressing. What I got was the opposite. It was drenched in a thick, heavy dressing that made the whole thing borderline inedible and the lettuce soggy. After our food, I tried to order drip coffee, which they didn't have, so I settled for an Americano. I asked for warm cream, which I've had done at plenty of places, and somehow it came out clotted. If you know anything about coffee, that shouldn't happen. At this point, we had been there for over two and a half hours. For a salad, an appetizer, and four raw meatballs. The server was very nice and doing his best with being busy. BUT, the overall operation felt completely disorganized and untrained. We weren't the only ones either. The couple next to us was also complaining after waiting 40 minutes just to order breakfast items. To make it even better, parking is only comped for 90 minutes. So because of their slow service, we ended up paying for parking on top of overpriced, underwhelming food. What should have been a 45 minute lunch turned into a 2.5 hour ordeal. The bathroom also wasn't clean either time I went, which pretty much sums up the lack of attention to detail across the board. The only slightly redeeming part was the crème brûlée, which was... fine. Not amazing. Just fine. It's a pretty space. I'll give them that. But that's about where the positives end. The food is not good, the timing is unacceptable, and the whole experience feels like Instagram style over quality and substance. Definitely not worth the money, and not somewhere I'd ever go back to.
