We love BJ's!!!! This BJ's is great and they have a nice menu! The food is so good and the pizookies are to die for! They have a new graham cracker s'mores pizookie and it is AMAZING!!! I always get the kids mini deep dish pizza and it always fills me up. Their pizza is sooooo good! The service is good and the staff are nice. They have lots of booths and a bar area. We were very disappointed with both the food and service during our visit. My husband's burger was served with paper still on the cheese, which is a pretty big mistake. When we informed our server, Roseanne, she showed no concern--no apology, no effort to make it right--just a curt response that she would let the cooks know, and she did so with an attitude. The calamari was delicious and crispy. The mozzarella sticks were cooked very well. Nice and cheesy with a nice cheese pull. My prime rib was not seasoned. I feel it lacked a lot of flavor tasted like there was no salt on it even the crust didn't taste like anything. I ended up sending it back because it was not good. The manager said that it was because of something to do with the marinade or something like that, but it wasn't good. Our server Tyler was great. He was very accommodating. He did a great job and making sure we had what we needed. I ended up getting buffalo chicken, lemon pepper flavor to be exact that was pretty good. the salted caramel pizzookie was pretty good. I feel like it was nice comfortable table. Great environment to be able to have conversation and eat some good food. The alcoholic beverages were not alcoholes but that's OK. Overall, my experience at BJ's was good. I'm just very disappointed that my prime rib was not flavored. I'm so sad about that because that's what I was looking forward to, but check it out. Good service by Joe! The BJ's Favorite pizza was good , although more sauce or cheese would probably make all the toppings stick together and on the pizza. It was hard to eat since the toppings are all falling out! The Crispy Calamari was mostly breading that didn't stick on the squid, but taste ok. The Smothered Steak and Fries was bland. Amazing service by Andrew, the hostess on 6/29 6pm was the best. She was so sweet and just genuinely happy. Andrew had great knowledge of the menu and was very attentive and kind to the two children in our group, was not bothered by them. He checked up on us constantly and always had a smile on his face. The bbq burger was delicious, the nachos were to die for! The kids food was good and had loads of options. We showed up around 540 with a 10 minute wait. They have pretty good indoor and outdoor space and it feels pretty open and welcoming. Overall it was a great experience, we had just left claim jumpers because we waited for 20 at a table with no service and decided to come here, glad claim jumpers was a bust because BJ will be our go to from now on. Came here on a weekend with a friend. I know it sounds weird, but I love their clam chowder here! They have a lot of clams in it, which I really enjoy! Our meals were prepared deliciously and I really liked the cook of my chicken and steak. My steak was cooked medium just the way I asked. Customer service was good. The food here is pretty good but I can't get over how overpriced everything is for what you get. The happy hour mini pizza is $7 (normally $14) when I feel it should be mmaayyyybbeeeee $5 at most. Fish and chips were good and the deluxe guacamole burger was very good, too. I wish they would serve more fries with the fish and burger. The poor waiter wasn't told the correct area for his customers to start and he just seems overwhelmed the whole time I was at the restaurant. He did the best he could for sure. My food was overcooked and they ran out of beer and took a little long to change the tap. The server never even helped my poor waiter guy out. Unfortunately this is the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I actually went to this location two days in a row. I went yesterday, Friday night for dinner with my boyfriend. We were there for TWO HOURS. Our server was extremely inattentive. We got stuck sitting near the large parties in the back and were completely ignored. She didn't even come by to check on our food. The food runners were more attentive than the waitress. Our pizookie took FORTY FIVE MINUTES to come out. Today I went to dinner here again (unfortunately) because a group of my friends wanted to eat here. I had a different waitress today but it was even worse than yesterday. Our sever didn't even bother to put our glasses of water on the table. She made us grab them from her. The whole point of having a waiter is to be served, not having to do it yourself. And after getting water, it took 20 minutes to be able to put in an appetizer of wings. The wings came out 15 mins later which is understandable as I'm sure the kitchen is busy. But when the food runner brought the wings we had to wait a while to get someone's attention to get plates to be able to eat them. We finally got a hostesses attention and said can we get some plates please and she was very rude and said "excuse me???" And we asked again and she just walked away. I hadn't seen our waiter in like 45 minutes by this time. We finally put in our entrees which took a while to come. A food runner brought those and that was fine. But we needed water refills and some ranch sauce. And our waitress never came. She walked by once and didn't even bother to ask us how our food was. Later on we finally were able to get her attention. We asked for water and ranch. Simple request. And it never came. We had to ask a busser for water and ranch and he said he would go get our server but he obviously was just saying that and was never telling her anything. We got another hostesses attention for our request. We waited about 30 minutes from the time we got entrees to the time we were able to ask for more water and ranch. And it took 20 more mins to come. By that time we were done eating. And the waitress was annoyed at us and said "did you still want the ranch?" But we were literally done eating. So we paid and left. We also asked if we could get some paper napkins because the wings were very messy and our waitress said no but she can get us some cloth napkins which we already had and didn't want to get messy. Which is fine. But the kicker is the table next to us literally had paper napkins!!!!! She just didn't want to go get them for us!! She made that up so as to not do her job. I don't think she even told us her name when we were sat. I do not recommend coming here. It's horrible. The employees are rude, they do not care about you. The food is mediocre. This weekend we took a family friend out for lunch after church to celebrate the the year. We visited the Grossmont location about 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. For a group of 6 we waited about 25 minutes. There was a good number of people waiting when we arrived, so we were surprised in how short the wait was. And the wait time was accurate. When we got seated, I estimated that the restaurant was about 60% full. Not too bad for a Sunday afternoon. The bar area was the busiest, with a number of football fans there to watch the game. However, the restaurant is filled with TV's all throughout the main dinning area. I was able to watch my Charger game from my table and my friend was able to watch the 49ers game on the TV opposite our table. Our server was great. I wish I caught her name, but she was fantastic. Our food took a long time to come out, and she was very apologetic for the delay. We ordered 2 appetizers (Mozzarella sticks and Loaded Nachos). The Mozzarella came out first after about 20 minutes. And the Nachos came out about another 10 minutes later. The kitchen was very slow to get items out. I saw the same experience from all the tables seated around us. But the plus side, the food was coming out fresh and hot! 2 things that were disappointing #1 - we have come to BJ's several times in the last 2 years. Every single time we have come we have ordered the Avocado Eggrolls...well...we attempted to order them. And every time, we are told that they ran out. I am not sure if this item is being removed from the menu or not. The server said it's not being removed...but they are always out. If you ever get to order these, they are amazing!!!! #2 - the restroom was not the cleanest, but it was ok. Visually it looked clean, but there was just a foul smell walking in. My daughter said the same thing for the women's restroom. Overall the atmosphere here is great. And we have always received good customer service every time we visited. read more

I had the Hickory Brisket and Bacon Burger with a loaded bake potato....my friend had the prime rib. The food was delicious. Our waiter was a little bit of a mess. I ordered an ice tea with lemon and asked for equal to sweeten it. He brought the tea and equal to the table and told me I said I did not want lemon..dont drink tea without lemon. He didnt come to our table much to check on us. Brought my friend another rasberry ice tea and her's was still full...i was sucking the bottom of my cup for the last bit of my tea.
