I have been to many Black Angus locations and this location stood out. Amir was the best waiter I've ever had. He was so kind and attentive. The food came out exactly to order and he went above and beyond to make sure we had anything and everything we needed. When we asked for more bread, he brought two loaves! When we asked for some hot water for our warm lemon water, it promptly arrived and with a kettle of extra hot water on the side. Used to be good, but the last two times we were really disappointed. The steak had a gamey taste and was too rare (I ordered well-done) the string beans were raw and oily with absolutely no seasoning. Our service was poor. We waited almost an hour for our appetizers and main dish. Our steaks were cooked wrong and by the time i got my steak and my family was done eating. It also happened to be my birthday and when i booked the reservation through here i added it on there and it was not acknowledged at all. We did not sit at the bar and our server was the bartered which i think is why the service was bad. We understand it was busy but i think we were forgotten about and when we asked for a manager she finally came to check on us. read more

What a stellar experience First off, Black Angus had a Groupon deal that allowed me to save so much money. However, it was the fact that they didn't treat me any differently in using the deal. Then, there was our server TIM. His knowledge of the menu was superb. His recommendations and descriptions were spot on. He was personable to the point where he kept us cracking up, but never lost his step in his service to us or other tables. He was a true master. The food very good too. The steak soup took the crown, EASILY! Extra points as they have Uncle Nearest whiskey in some of their drinks. Understanding history, that is an incredible move. A week ago, Edward and I visited the Black Angus in Burbank! We've been coming here for about 19 years, and have always had delicious meals; I always order the Salmon, and Edward usually orders the Filet Mingon, however, on this occassion, Black Angus had "a special" promotion, so Edward had the Salmon, as well, since the "Special" required us to have the same meal!!! What stood out on this visit, was our waiter, AMIR, who has served us before, but this particular evening, the restaurant was VERY busy, and almost all the tables were occupied! Amir was EXCELLENT; he brought us the hot bread right away, and took our order right away, and he also served us the wine we ordered, in a very short time-it didn't matter that the restaurante was "packed", Amir's Service was QUICK and friendly, throughout!!! Other times we've visited the same restaurante, we've had waiters and waitresses who take "forever" to bring us the hot bread and wine, when there are a lot of other people to serve! My husband & I selected from their diverse lunch special menu on Sunday, 1/11/26, at 3:30pm. They offer a 15% discount to veterans, policemen, & firemen. The restaurant was quiet & had only a few customers. The TVs were entertaining the small bar crowd. My husband had the veggie steak soup, baked potato, fried breaded shrimp, a 6 oz. top sirloin steak, & a lemonade. I had a garden salad, baked potato, fried breaded shrimp, a 6 oz top sirloin steak, & a Diet Coke. The soup was good, but salty. The steaks were both over cooked & very dry, when we had ordered a medium rare & a rare plus. Not even the Worcester sauce could have saved them! The salad was fresh & crisp. The baked potatoes were good because they were fully loaded. The breaded shrimp was fried crispy, & was tasty served with cocktail sauce & a slice of lemon. I noticed that several of the booths (including ours) had bread crumbs & a napkin left over on the seat from prior customers. The bus boy needs to pay better attention in cleaning up the tables. The service was outstanding - fast, attentive, friendly, efficient. The restrooms were clean. It is friendly for families. There is free parking in their parking lot. Drinks were $5. The food & drinks cost $45, & the tip was $10, for a total of $55. We know that if we return, we need to tell the server to tell the chef to not overcook the steaks!!! read more

A mixed review - I had a great time here but my boyfriend got food poisoning after. We bought the Campfire feast for 2 on Groupon for around $55, normal price is $69. We came on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. The ambience is the standard black angus interior with dim lighting and a homey cabin feel. Our server was great - he was super attentive and brought us things we needed quickly without asking, such as bread and steak sauce. For our appetizer, we upgraded +$5 to the Wagon Wheel sampler, which included loaded potato skins, shrimp cocktail, chipotle-buffalo chicken tenders, and crispy garlic-pepper zucchini. For entrees, I got the New York Steak and my boyfriend opted for the Top Sirloin. We both asked for medium-rare, but both were cooked more medium. For sides, I loved the loaded baked potato soup, but thought the mashed potatoes tasted like the powder box ones. My boyfriend got the 5-grain rice pilaf and Au Gratin Potatoes - both were just okay and the rice was very plain. For the shared dessert, I thought the creme brûlée could have been more caramelized, but it was still delicious. Overall, was definitely a good deal on Groupon, though I wouldn't pay full price. I ordered a Ribeye steak with mash potatoes and green beans. Steak was properly cooked medium well, but was under seasoned, had no flavor. I would have to say that the charbroiled flavor helped but not enough. Mash potatoes good flavor, but not garnished. Green beans under cooked had no flavor, no seasoning , tasted old. Presentation ok. I order a second plate with Filet mignon that had some type white crumbles that appeared to be butter. It was not. It was blue cheese that ruined it . steak was dried and under seasoned .Mash potatoes was ok, broccoli under cooked. Presentation ok.
