Food was great and the biscuits and cornbread were delicious! The day we went we were told they were understaffed and things may take awhile so, food came out later and it was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice place to have family breakfast/brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has such a cool Bear Country vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was fantastic. The service was very nice. I recommend everything but the peppermint cocoa is a must try. Prices are reasonable.

These are the open tables that they refuse to allow us to sit as a group.

Arrived with a party of 17 to celebrate a birthday party. Told wait time was 45 minutes. At the 1.5 hour mark we literally had to request to be seated. There were several open spot available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And rather seat us in a group, the seated us all in separate tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now keep in mind there were a set of tables in a group that would accomadate us, but we were not given that option. The management staff were very unaccomadating.

We are very familiar with Black Bear, as we have family in California and BB is abundant there. I was excited to see that they opened one here! We had an overall very good experience. The decor is everything we love about Black Bear. Our server was Leo, he was very kind & attentive. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & green beans. Everything was very good. My son ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and his was also very good. I did take a star off because the potatoes were not hot & the coffee was just mildly warm....cold after the first sip. I usually love the coffee at Black Bear, so that was a letdown. We will return when we are in town, next time for breakfast. I'm hoping the California Egg Benedict is as good here as in CA.

Being from the east coast it has been difficult to find a diner that's not seen as a cafe. Well I can definitely say that falling upon this amazing place with amazing service and food to made it even better! My friend and I got own things as I LOVE egg Benedict's as I truly NEVER tasted the ones they made ever! It was super tasty!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As even the diner itself was so adorable it truly brought out a PA feeling when walking in such as the wooden panels and the forest like vibes made the place a home welcoming feeling![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be going there again!

Ordered the chicken and waffles. Waffle machine was down , so I substituted pancakes. They were delicious. Didn't even need syrup.

Service was ok. Too much food for one person to eat plus wasn't very good. I will not be back.

Not impressed. In my opinion, a large portion of bland food served luke warm is not worth a return visit.

Missing French pastries after my trip to France Came here and tried Mango matcha iced drink was okay. Hard to eat mango slices with ice in the way Banana bread was amazing - caramelized on the top with banana and inside. Moist and full of flavor in every bite (would get again) Coconut passion fruit cake slice - delicious and full of passionfruit flavor which is hard to find (would get again) Apple monkey bread - great with syrup but not as apple-heavy flavor as I'd like it. I headed over and this was the first time since the expansion I had seen the updates. It was amazing to see in person. I ordered the lunch special and had the option to pick between caesar salad or mixed greens and I chose mixed greens. The soup of the day was tomato bisque. The sandwich options were tuna or chicken pesto and I went with tuna. While I waited for me to go I also got a sweet treat. I got the oatmeal cookie. Everything was so yummy and perfect amount of food. The salad came with a dressing on the side which I think was olive oil and lemon?

Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

We were told the wait would be about 40 minutes, but we were seated approximately 50 minutes later. After being seated, we waited several minutes before anyone came to our table. When our waiter finally arrived to take our drink order, he seemed impatient and rude when we were still deciding. He then turned away from us and took the order of another couple seated nearby before finishing with us. About 15 minutes later, we finally received our drinks as well as 3 other tables. After waiting a 30 more minutes with no communication or update, we decided to leave. The other tables near us received their meals except us and there was no communication from the waiter. We understand that holidays can be busy and that staffing challenges can happen. However, the lack of communication, long delays, and the waiter's dismissive behavior made the experience especially disappointing -- particularly after spending nearly two hours waiting while hungry on Valentine's. I hope someone can look into what happened and help ensure better communication and service for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
