Hosting a retreat in Santa Fe and stopped by here to have brunch. Great service and adorable on the inside! Made me feel like I was in an old-timey saloon hence the name. Very unique menu! Will definitely be back to try some more things. We had: Grilled Avocado : really good and excellent sauce Burger + fries: massive burger! Very flavorful, fries were only okay Homemade chips: good crisp and seasoning, went great with the avocado Campfire: the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage was cool! Very herby and regular sausage texture, the elk & bison lil smokies were good and had a cool texture similar to jerky Lavender sparkling water was nice, the lavender lemonade was delicious

Los Cerillos is a small town set off the highway. Don't let that fool you. The Blackbird Saloon has exceptional food, excellent service and great atmosphere. The owner and servers are super friendly and very helpful. The menu is NOT run of the mill, and it will take you a bit to see there is a lot to digest (sorry!) The elk burger is excellent. Breakfast dishes are too good for words. We'd easily drive from Santa Fe to eat here.

Fantastic experience here. We stayed in Los Cerillos and had a very nice surprise finding Black Bird Saloon. The very unassuming and low key atmosphere was met with friendly staff and amazing high class plates created carefully and thoughtfully. 5/5 stars absolutely recommended.

We stopped in for a quick pint and the service was friendly and fast. We didn't eat but the food looked delicious when we peeked at the other tables and the menu was impressive. They have a small shop section selling local meat and pickled goods which I always appreciate. I'd like to drive back and eat a meal when we have time. But the pint was good!

Cool rustic spot on the 14! Good drinks and tasty house made chips. Game meat burgers looked killer so another trip back is due.

They call these 2 places "ghost towns" which is a bit of a misnomer. I do think that Madrid and Virginia City Nevada have a similar abandoned mining town vibe that we both found charming. And with the exception of the Virginia City Hat Maker, Madrid has better art. We came in on a Friday and just before a weekend music festival was to begin with the Mine Shaft being a major participant. We missed all than, but wouldn't have minded a little early live music. We snagged a nice outdoor table on the deck and enjoyed 2 different types of delicious brisket, along with generous portion of fries. I had a local beer, while Gayle had wine. We took our time and really enjoyed our time here. Until next time....

I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sixty Six Acres…read more We walked in and were seated immediately on the patio. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.

As we pulled up, it looked pretty crowded, a few families waiting outside. I checked on the wait time for 3 & was told 20-25 minutes. We don't consider that an excessive wait time any time we go out. And being from out of town, it would've taken us at least that long to find another spot & probably would've had a wait at any other restaurant. There was plenty of space to wait in front of the restaurant, it was shaded and the weather was nice. I don't know how long we waited for a table, but it seemed to be less than quoted. Once seated, we were served drinks right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered blue corn cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked crisp, just how I like it. The pancakes were really good! Different from anything I've had before. My husband had chilaquiles, those were really good. And my son got a traditional breakfast. The menu said it came with fries, which were more what we called breakfast potatoes. That was a good thing! Those potatoes were so good! The lamb tartare was expertly prepared, and perfectly complimented with housemade potato chips (seasoned, very crispy, and the right amount of vinegar). The ratatouille was phenomenal; very flavorful (both the veggies & sauce), perfectly cooked veggies, and some crispy kale. The steak tenderloin stew was excellent, and I appreciated that the Christmas chile sauce was on the side so you could add it to taste. The meat was tender, the stew had a good flavor to it, and the chile sauce brought it to another level. My girlfriend loved the green chile pineapple sorbet. It had a lite chile flavor, and wasn't too sweet. The orange blossom tres leche cake was outstanding, with the cake and meringue cooked to perfection (both with great consistency), and the lowkey orange blossom flavor complimenting things very nicely. We ate at the bar, Ben the bartender was a great server. His notes on the dishes were informative and accurate, and he also recommended some places in and around Santa Fe for us to checkout... The restaurant itself has a charming neighborhoody feel with several rooms, wood beams, local art, and adequate spacing between tables (one of my pet peeves is the lack of privacy caused by tables too close together.)
